The console version of Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition will be playable in New York this weekend, these details grabbed from Capcom-Unity.
The festivities start on April 14th at 7 p.m., with a screening of I Got Next. This documentary follows some of the top competitive Street Fighter players and what they think of the community today. Afterwards, Seth, along with pro player Joe Ciaramelli and Game Center researcher Charles Pratt will be doing a Q&A. On April 15 at 6 p.m., Seth will be lecturing and demoing in-game situations and how gameplay evolves throughout the course of playing.
Lastly, the Spring Fighter Tournament will be taking place on April 16th starting at 2 p.m. The tournament itself will be played on Super Street Fighter IV, but we will have two stations featuring the console version of Arcade Edition for you to try out! Make sure to hone your skills if you are entering the tournament, as there are some extremely awesome prizes the folks at NYU's Game Center will be giving out, including a brand new Nintendo 3DS with a copy of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition!
You can find more information about the event here.
Give the Yun whores a few days on everyone else to get their combos down...
What the Vince failed to mention is you can't get into the building without an NYU ID. You need to be an NYU student inorder to get into the building. Also, you needed to RSVP for these events if you were an NYU student. It's not exactly open to the public. I could get 4 people in though....
So we'll find out about that ugly, Super vs AE character business, then?
@dreamcast1212
So basically this is event is not open to public unless you have an NYU ID?
I was planning on going today after 5pm to see how I fare up with other NYC SSFIV but seeing that statement, pretty much no point in going if I can't get in the venue.
Having two console versions on hand means we are in for the shock of a lifetime when we see the two rumored characters being playable without a formal announcement (which would actually be an awesome press-surprise.)
OR
they are DLC or, heaven forbid, non-existent.
How about giving Texas some love capcom always Cali or NY
To hell with America, give us Scots some love Capcom!
The only thing we ever got was the MvC3 event and thats it.
I love that picture of Akuma, Capcom should consider that for an alt costume.
L.I joe gets hooked up in N.Y. didn't he also do some pre-release testing for MvC3 when that game was like 3-4 weeks away from release. Thats pretty dope!
