These pieces of sh*t don't even compare to arcade mode on highest difficulty. Bought the damn 2nd Shadow Mode mainly to get that cheap a*s notice off every time I turned the game on to play. Shoushi!

Also, what is so hard to understand that Spectator mode could be and most likely is a programming nightmare for this game. The online is already strained enough. Nobody here knows what they really want these days, all they want to do is:

Its fine to complain about things, but when you do it with absolutely no show for appreciation or thought about the context, is a worthless complaint.
Damn MvC3 is getting so much flak, and it wss (WAS) suppose to be the biggest fighting game in 2011.
But now you have SSFIF AE, MK9, Skull Girls, Tekken Tag 2. It's like the hype from MvC3 just died.
I kind of hope because of it's good sales they consider upgrading this game and giving it the shine it needs.
I can't believe some of you are crying about a ONE DOLLAR price tag. Unbelievable.

I thought it was a great idea until they charged for it. Yeah $1 is not much when you consider some other DLC for other games. Yet I can't help but be concerned where MVC3 is going with other titles like SSF4 AE and MK.
Where are the other Costumes for MVC3? We only got CA Thor Chris and Iron man. What about others? And More Characters that have been requested for some time.
Another Shadow Mode huh... more of a reason to continue enjoying the game. But paying a dollar just to get more Shadow Mode... I call it ludicrous. I would rather pay for free than a measly dollar aka 80 MS Points which is absurd.
I blame Capcom's dickhead marketing team. "Stroke gently and talk dirty at first, then make 'em buy you a car and a house and a Haitian kid!" Seriously, it's not even about money, it's all about MOAR moneyZ. Capcom isn't even some struggling independent development house, and it isn't Valve either. They're a big publisher with solid established franchises, and so damn stupid that they want to nickle and dime fans so much.

Really disappointed by this shadow mode at this point. I remember when they told us we would be playing AI designed around certain people like the design team etc. We got one free pack that honored this, then everything after that was just random "theme teams" and not what I assumed Shadow Mode was intended for in the first place.
Like others have said it's not about the pricetag of 1 dollar. My take on this is that Capcom should have told us Shadow Mode would be payable DLC before we bought the game. When you buy a car, wouldn't you like to know that car windows are optional and you have to pay extra BEFORE you buy that car? The price of the window is irrelevant. I am all for companies making money, but they should inform their customers about all the costs involved, so they can make the decision whether they accept that. I respect Capcom for the games I have been playing they made, but this feels like an ambush on my wallet... for a dollar at the time :)
PS. I am soooo gonna get that AE DLC, cause that feels like true value for money. 4 Characters + all the replay channel updates for 1200 MS points? I paid 800 for just Jill and Shuma, just saying.

Really? Paying one dollar for this DLC is the equivalent of paying one dollar for a candy bar; it's a fair price for what you're getting and if you don't want it, then pass it up, no harm done. But I guess making up irrational comparisons is much easier for you, eh?

That's a terrible analogy. Windows are an important part of a car and are always included. These one dollar DLCs are equivalent to an air freshener for your car. Are you going to get upset at the car dealer for not giving you a one dollar air freshener for free because you for some reason feel entitled to getting it? It's the same thing here. This DLC's price is not something that you or anyone else should be whining about. The DLC has no negative impact on the game should you choose NOT to buy it for one dollar.
Don't even bother going through that whole "but it's the principle of it, not the price :( :(" deal, it's a poor argument because it's a tiny price for something so miniscule that you will not miss out on it should you choose not to pay.

You are right, it's not the same thing, but you ignored that the point is not about the windows, the point is whether you knew beforehand that you have to pay for these things.
The air freshener is not promised or implied to be automatically included in the purchase of a car, so yeah, I understand why I don't get it and have to pay extra for it. However, titles were given for free in SSFIV, am I then self entitled when I expect the same from another game by the same publisher?
I am not arguing whether Shadow Mode has a negative impact on the game should you decide not to buy it, all I am saying is that it would have been nice to be informed about this before we purchased the game, that's all.
man who gives a sh!t about this crappy dlc, save up Arcade Edition, not this trash.

Much agreed I really wish they would simply add vs CPU mode in and stop trying to B.S. people around with this Shadow mode stuff. Yeah yeah I know we don't have to buy them but something as simple as vs. CPU should be in the game, don't really see much of an excuse for that other than them purposely leaving it out so they can keep the income flowing with Shadow pack DLC.
I can't believe they charge for this...
