MrPavy has built a collage of hype Capcom fighting game moments from the community. If you've been really active in the scene over the years, you'll recognize these things, but if you haven't seen these clips in awhile, they are fun memories to relive. Hit the jump for one more video.

3rd Strike looks like so much fun. Is parrying really difficult? What advantages does it offer, other than (presumably) the avoidance of chip damage?

That clockwork comeback was so great. Dude was up in clockwork's ear until the end when it got shut for him, EPIC!
MvC2 looks so EPIC compared to 3, why did they add the changes they did? it makes no sense, Third Strike was a different direction for Street fighter but it still kept the essence of Street Fighter, MvC3 does not do the same. And X-factor, is the worst mechanic to be put into a fighting game in a long time. If they adjusted it to only allow longer combos, similar to how Juri's ultra works, that would be fine, that in itself would still take a certain amount of skill to obtain a comeback. O'well soon AE dlc will be out and I'm really looking at skullgirls as a chance for an indy dev put out a great fighter.

Parrying is not difficult, but the timing is quite strict and if you mess up you basically are not blocking. As for the benefits (apart from chip damage) when you parry instead of blocking you don't enter blockstun so you can punish right after the parry.

It pretty much freezes your opponent and allows you to not be stopped by hitstun so you can hit them back. It's not hard to parry since all you have to do is tap forward or down, but its hard to actually guess correctly to actually get the parry off. He could throw, he could go high, he could go low, and he could use an attack with a different kind of start up than you expected. Worst part is that a missed parry can really screw you up.

Who was the player trash talking clockwork? I'm pretty sure I've seen a video of where the guy's trash talking him and clockwork, mid-combo points to screen as he's whooping him.

His name is Dark Prince if Im not mistaking. I saw a video of him trash talking like crazy, saying Clockwork was a washed up player, then Clockwork beat his ass like he was his father. I saw part of that match on other videos but never noticed that Prince was talking trash during the match "He ain't ready for that Sentinel" LOL!. I just love it when people trash talk and get their asses kick in the most humiliating manner.

I miss stupid colours that made no sense, hard to do infinites, proper comebacks, meter building super jump HP/K x N.

I will always miss the MVC2 hype. And rooting against DarkPrince. That guy just rubs me the wrong way.

Love it when Clock owns him in that moneymatch.
I only wish Justin could have done the same with the Ruby/Jill/Ken team, but he still held his own.
