A ton of readers wrote in about a Street Fighter inspired scene on Family Guy last night. Hulu has a replay of the clip, in case you missed it.

The reason for the hulu embed is because the youtube embed doesn't work. It's not being intentionally disrespectful.

If you search around YouTube, you can probably find the clip, but you'll need to be fast.

I know it's easy to hate Family Guy these days, most of the humor is more annoying than funny (like the shot at Michael J. Fox in the very same episode, which is an ancient Internet meme and in poor taste to begin with), but this was legit funny. It's still just throwing random pop culture references, but at least they did their research for something 90% of the audience won't even understand; accurate normals and specials, what does and doesn't do chip damage, gibberish during hurricane kick, etc. At the very least, I can applaud their effort. Like I remember an episode of House where he's playing Metroid: Zero Mission and they just used a bunch of random sound effects and I think House refers to a sidehopper as a space monkey, and I don't watch Dexter but someone said something about him playing Halo 3, on PC, with nothing but a keyboard. It's just embarrassing when the writers of a show try to make a reference to something but don't know what they're talking about.
