It felt weird because the "ching" sound of impact happens too late and not when he actually connects the punch. They got the timing of the sound effects right for Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken. That one seems fine but the delay really hurts this ultra.

Based on presentation alone, I find Oni Akuma to be the most powerful Street Fighter of the franchise. He flirts with DBZ levels.

He kind of looks like an evil Blanka, and is this evil Gouken, super evil Akuma, or the trainer of both Gouken and Akuma, because I thought Akuma was as evil as he could be and I heard there was a master of both Akuma and Gouken that died, but so did Gouken and you see how that turned out.

I think this might be accurate to an extent. Akuma and Ryu had an indecisive fight at one point, and Akuma and Oro with one arm had an indecisive fight at one point. I heard Cody wrecked Ryu when he took off his handcuffs but then Ryu went Evil and wrecked him right back.

acctually guys i cant be sure on weather or not that is goken or akuma because this is following the manga of sf not the game play story (theses to characters specifically)
on that note i can say that this isnt the strongest form of akuma this is akuma while he is mastering his strongest moves the ultras he does are like baby versions his highest form is shin or true akuma you gotta remeber guys this happens before 3rd strike which is when shin akuma comes into play
this characters confusing, its an akuma/gouken blend, things similar to akuma : f+mp, a fake air fireball, hcb fireball, cr.hp, b+grab, raging demon, ultra 1 and 2 (past games). things similar to gouken : body shape, cr.hk, palm move, chargeable fireball, can apparently parry like gouken and probably more i missing

Yeah I don't know too much about the canon so I'm just guessing. I always figured Bison was kinda weak, but then again there's that boss Bison in the Alpha series. I also hadn't considered the fact that being "killed" by the Raging Demon really isn't indicative of fighting prowess. I think Gouken easily defeated Akuma in a first fight but then was "killed" in a second, and Gill was "killed" by it but then resurrected.
Oni is a crazy masturbator that sometimes runs around the world every couple of days. He'll stop by his equally powerful friend Dan's dojo every now and then to go out, enjoy some ice cream, and maybe splooge in ken's wife, but mostly he sits in his mountain cave and masturbates.

These On Akuma's ultras are nasty. Jeez. It would it been good if you were able to see the impact. But both ultras expand way too much. I always like to see the ultras that are so closed up. For instance, Gouken's shin shoryuken. Getting someone with that feels way much better than these Akuma ultras. Bison's second ultra. Feels so good getting a viper or a cammy and see their faces ;3
how many ultra 1 & 2 versions does he have. very scary, think oni is gonna be better then akuma & eryu. ultras upclose, from a far, after fadc.then his super. amazing to be honest, i would love to see tokido main this guy. his health souldnt be a problem if you know what your doing. surprised theres no vids of tokido using him.

Oro is an old man who is apparently so powerful, he had one arm binded so that he would fight with one arm to keep himself from killing his opponent. He beat Ryu in the tournament like nothing.

Enough with the over thinking there people. Rest assured, Oni is a higher and perhaps highest level of Gouki (Akuma). Gosh it's truly amazing how far some of you will take such simple things. Aside from the brain dead fact that such graphics and even story arc for that matter weren't created or developed as much back in the days of Third Strike and before, See Gouki's need to transform into Oni as something simply over driving him just as this Evil Ryu for AE seems to be altered and 'overdriven.'
It could very well be the fact that Gouken has reappeared after such a long absence, which hey guys that too was not brought up in SF3! But if you are seriously trying to make sense of this crazy madness of a storyline that is Street Fighter, much like I do admittedly, why not at least be rational to the fact that again, story wasn't as progressed or thought about and graphics weren't as advanced as now, and just say for the hell of it that in Street Fighter 3, everyone decided to become mutes for the most part and just focussed on fighting rather than Ken asking Gouki, "Dude, wtf was with you a few years back when you went ballistic with rage and turned blue? Oh and wasn't it sweet for my master Gouken to come around again? Say isn't he your brother?"
Just because newer and more flashy things are able to exist now, doesn't mean anything from the past has to change. Granted they did want the story to happen before SF3's storyline, which I knew would mess everything up canonly, don't expect them to care too much for explaining their actions. They haven't exactly shown the best record of a comprehensible storyline anyway. Oni = Gouki/Akuma

@malda you love d*ck riding sfiv. It's not the best sf of all time cut that sh*t out b. I undestand it's your opinion but you over do it. IMO Alpha3 was and is the best hands down screw what the Haters say. Mvc3 is meant to be fun and mindless. Mvc2 passed it's prime get over it. Ssfiv is a gpod game don't get it twisted. It's the best fighter of it it's kind but IMO it's missing something that the original sf2 and alpha 3 had. 3rd strike was technically an amazing game same goes for the graphics but it had lame characters. Just my 2 cents.

One more thing I forgot to mention. Gouki's famous 天 kanji is ink blotted at the end of Tenchi Sokaigen (Ultra 2). Oni Gouki ftw.

It's possible since they can't really add more to the arcade machines. However I don't expect them to either. If you expect something, it always disappoints you at the end since plans never work the way you want to work out. Don't expect in the beginning and things usually turn out better.

Yet all we've seen is Oni survive a Volcano Eruption....which is damned impressive, considering the DBZ guys can't even live in Lava.... (Goku vs Frieza...Gohan vs Broly)

if you're going to take Capcom fighting Evolution into account and say Bison > Gill.... then definitely Shin Akuma > Oni.... (Just saying.... leaping into the vacuums of space and destroying a meteor is more impressive than surviving lava.)
I heard that in one of the mangas when ryu turned evil, gouken turned into demon form... And there are several characteristics that hint toward gouken:
He stands like gouken and when he stops moving his hands they rest in a similar place to goukens
He fires beams with one hand
He has shin shoryuken as his regular shoryuken
His slash move is similar to goukens shoryuken + p move
He can charge beams
His hcb + p beams are electrified much like denjin hadouken
He has a parry
He wears similar trousers to gouken's
However there are some things that don't make sense:
The hair
Both ultras show Akuma's kenji yet his super shows something else
He has prayer beads
So I don't really know what to make of Oni because I want him to be gouken but why would he be gouken...

So to your logic Ryu, Ken & Gouki (Akuma) must be triplets or perhaps when the moon is just right, Ryu transforms into Ken or Gouki despite other more obvious things like voice actor, signature moves and the fact that Gouken is NOT nor ever will be evil or impure. Yes that's clearly what I'm saying... Ryu, Ken, Akuma and Gouken are Shotos therefore they share the same basic moveset but each having their own style for example Ken has Shinryuken but has not mastered his Hadoken therefore he cannot use a fiery Hadoken, Gouken apparently uses the final form of Shoryuken traveling forward instead of vertically and Akuma has embraced the Satsui no Hadou. These are things that make them different and not the same character. Oni seems more of a development from Gouken than Akuma that's all I'm saying in my post and if we are going with your ridiculous logic that it is impossible for two characters to be the same then Evil Ryu isn't Ryu and Oni is definitely not Akuma... Oh wait that doesn't make sense.
It is equally possible for Oni to be either Akuma or Gouken but it just seems that you are dead set on Oni being Gouki that this post will make no difference.
Oh and I'm not a Gouken fanboy, Dan is where it is at.
What about the fearsome power of Cyber Akuma or Rare Akuma. Do those forms not get any credit? And although not much is known about him, where is Go Hibiki ranked? I mean he is the cause for Sagat's eye-patch and head scar.
Oni is the final transformation of Gouki being evil. Has become one with the power of the Dark Hadou. As powerful as his own master, Goutetsu.

Stop speculating which character is stronger than the other based on how strong they are in-game. Their damage is balanced for gameplay for christ's sake. It would only take a hit or two to finish your opponent off with Oni if he is designed as just how strong he actually is, which is impossible.

Right you are all the way up until the stolen Chi. That hasn't happened yet story wise and it's possible that wasn't canon. I personally believe that Gouken returning awakened Gouki into Oni since the sheer thought of his older brother alone makes his blood boil. However we won't really know until Capcom says.

Here's some stories the Capcops were thinking of.
Gouki and Gouken were stalking the saiyans and saw them do the fusion dance. They decided to do it and now you have Oni who has some of Gouken's kicks, his one hand fireballs, and the shun goku satsu of Gouki, blah blah blah.
They stole the Dragon Balls and made a wish to be united as one dude.
Gouki and Gouken just had gay sex and somehow combined on orgasm. blah blah blah
Ryu went to the Bleach universe and thought hollows were cool with a hole in their chest and that's why you see him have a hole and copy Ichigo's Mugetsu hairstyle in alternate costume 2.
