Capcom Japan officially revealed Oni in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition this evening. Videos of both of his ultras being performed, along with artwork, images and his move listing, in Japanese, have been added into this story.

It felt weird because the "ching" sound of impact happens too late and not when he actually connects the punch. They got the timing of the sound effects right for Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken. That one seems fine but the delay really hurts this ultra.

He kind of looks like an evil Blanka, and is this evil Gouken, super evil Akuma, or the trainer of both Gouken and Akuma, because I thought Akuma was as evil as he could be and I heard there was a master of both Akuma and Gouken that died, but so did Gouken and you see how that turned out.

I think this might be accurate to an extent. Akuma and Ryu had an indecisive fight at one point, and Akuma and Oro with one arm had an indecisive fight at one point. I heard Cody wrecked Ryu when he took off his handcuffs but then Ryu went Evil and wrecked him right back.

M.Bison destroys Gill but Gill revives in Udon's art.
Gill = Seth
and Cody being stronger than M.Bison is nonsense.
Ryu breaks Cody's handcuffs to have a fair fight but becomes evil during the fight and defeats Cody in street fighter II turbo #7 (Udon)

acctually guys i cant be sure on weather or not that is goken or akuma because this is following the manga of sf not the game play story (theses to characters specifically)
on that note i can say that this isnt the strongest form of akuma this is akuma while he is mastering his strongest moves the ultras he does are like baby versions his highest form is shin or true akuma you gotta remeber guys this happens before 3rd strike which is when shin akuma comes into play

this characters confusing, its an akuma/gouken blend, things similar to akuma : f+mp, a fake air fireball, hcb fireball, cr.hp, b+grab, raging demon, ultra 1 and 2 (past games). things similar to gouken : body shape, cr.hk, palm move, chargeable fireball, can apparently parry like gouken and probably more i missing

Yeah I don't know too much about the canon so I'm just guessing. I always figured Bison was kinda weak, but then again there's that boss Bison in the Alpha series. I also hadn't considered the fact that being "killed" by the Raging Demon really isn't indicative of fighting prowess. I think Gouken easily defeated Akuma in a first fight but then was "killed" in a second, and Gill was "killed" by it but then resurrected.

These On Akuma's ultras are nasty. Jeez. It would it been good if you were able to see the impact. But both ultras expand way too much. I always like to see the ultras that are so closed up. For instance, Gouken's shin shoryuken. Getting someone with that feels way much better than these Akuma ultras. Bison's second ultra. Feels so good getting a viper or a cammy and see their faces ;3

Enough with the over thinking there people. Rest assured, Oni is a higher and perhaps highest level of Gouki (Akuma). Gosh it's truly amazing how far some of you will take such simple things. Aside from the brain dead fact that such graphics and even story arc for that matter weren't created or developed as much back in the days of Third Strike and before, See Gouki's need to transform into Oni as something simply over driving him just as this Evil Ryu for AE seems to be altered and 'overdriven.'

It could very well be the fact that Gouken has reappeared after such a long absence, which hey guys that too was not brought up in SF3! But if you are seriously trying to make sense of this crazy madness of a storyline that is Street Fighter, much like I do admittedly, why not at least be rational to the fact that again, story wasn't as progressed or thought about and graphics weren't as advanced as now, and just say for the hell of it that in Street Fighter 3, everyone decided to become mutes for the most part and just focussed on fighting rather than Ken asking Gouki, "Dude, wtf was with you a few years back when you went ballistic with rage and turned blue? Oh and wasn't it sweet for my master Gouken to come around again? Say isn't he your brother?"

Just because newer and more flashy things are able to exist now, doesn't mean anything from the past has to change. Granted they did want the story to happen before SF3's storyline, which I knew would mess everything up canonly, don't expect them to care too much for explaining their actions. They haven't exactly shown the best record of a comprehensible storyline anyway. Oni = Gouki/Akuma

IMO Alpha3 was and is the best hands down screw what the Haters say. Mvc3 is meant to be fun and mindless. Mvc2 passed it's prime get over it. Ssfiv is a gpod game don't get it twisted. It's the best fighter of it it's kind but IMO it's missing something that the original sf2 and alpha 3 had. 3rd strike was technically an amazing game same goes for the graphics but it had lame characters. Just my 2 cents.
