It's so entertaining to see a good Hakan player, esp. with the upgrades on AE. Hopefully DLC in the US will come soon...anxious. This guy is pretty legit.
This is what I expected from his release in super. My boy Hakan!; its just a matter of time. AE DLC can't come fast enough.
i hope they did other tweaks to the oil shower now that it stacks, i could see that sh*t being super gross if its still as safe as it was(coupled with the ability to stack).
I use Hakan as well, and this guy has the fundamentals on point for sure! But no doubt the best Hakan I've seen is by far is Wildcat815....this guy's a beast!
He's taken on some of the best guys out there and that was before AE! I can just imagine how good He must be by now..
Don't take my work for it though..

(Stop hatin' on people reppin' Hakan. Can't get better unless you face tough opponents, and Hakan hasn't had that much exposure. Thor and Hsien-ko, hopefully, you guys are next!

I, for one, am happy to see AE footage of Hakan, thanks Catalyst.
PS: OMG CANCEL OUT OF 360-Oil throw, GODLIKE!)
Solid play from the hakan, but people kept consistently making similar mistakes without chaging their gameplans, nothing too jaw dropping here.
this guy isn't too great, but he's still good and hakan is very underrated.
dam....this guy is terrific....he had me saying "no escape" towards the end of the last round of the 2nd vid....now sure we don't know who these players are but i like the changes...seems like he can combo his slide and the damage followup may do a little more damage...probably not though...just seems like a better idea since the oil shower's recovery has been reduced and it stacks...
Can Hakkan even cancel 360 running grab into the coward crouch in Super??
Of course it doesn’t look special, Hakan doesn’t have the most flashy playstyle. But I guess there were option selects all over the place, plus he really nailed the timing for the anti-wakeup Oil Dive. His opponents might lack some matchup knowledge but this guy is very good nonetheless.
i'm not impress , guy looks as basic as hell ...
constant oil slides from full screen when the opponent does nothing and repetitive jump ins that can be punish easily this guy is really an online player 'cause that crap only works with lag and idiots ,
i haven't played ssf4 like forever so to come back to this game where entire matches consist of two moves is bullsh##
I agree with #6, 10, & others that said he's ok but nothing impressive. He's not a bad player & of course he knows the basics of Hakan but nothing impressive was displayed. He played against some very mediocre opponents that weren't much of a Challenge. WildCat is definitely the master of Hakan hands down.
I don't think many of you guys here play Hakan, so you can't spot many of the little nuances that makes this guy a good player in these matches. Not to say Wildcat isn't godlike, but don't take anything away from this guy either, he's pretty damn good.
readers on eventhubs must be the dumbest on earth. the point of this vid wasnt to show or argue who the best Hakan was. it was to showcase Hakan in AE, and easy opponents or not, EBI does a good job of this. its better than no footage. so its just stupid saying wildcat is better, or even showing CONSOLE version of wildcat's gameplay, you are totally missing the point of this post, its not a who is better. just wow
Hakan is a sh*t character and no one should play him. Stay fwee, on bwast, SWOOOOOPS.
this haken isn't bad. although i don't play him at all. KNOWING how to use basics well is the key to winning. A good play does not need to do all the massive link combos to win, as long as he/she knows his/her character's fundamentals and use basic combos to get the max damage out. A player who does not use multiple link combos/supers/ultras or fansy moves does not consider him an avg player. vise versa, if a player does alot of fansy link combos and and dont know the basics well, he/she will be defeated in no time. bottomline, a good player does not have to be impressive to be good. basic concept is the most important.
good videos
that's my opinion :)
(Didn't realize new chars had themes...or maybe everyone's just caught up in the hype of new chars period)
I also play Hakan, I must say, he is good. His mind game is like a grappler. No random grabs...Good crisco combo's with max damage. He drops the s.lp,s.lp, s.lp, s.lk, slide + followup. I saw it one time, but its very sexy to see. I didn't see any c.lp slide + followup punishes. I wonder why he didn't use hakan vortex but only after knockdown s.lp n.j.hk :S. Maybe the jump height change in AE? n.mp juggles in AE, maybe better than air grab now...but I will test it when dlc comes...
Awesome video of an underrated character generally maligned as a bottom-tier piece of crap.
