The Fight For Relief charity tournament was held today. IPlayWinner and Level|Up Series collaborated to bring viewers at home a live stream of the action, to raise funds for Japan relief efforts because of the earthquake and tsunami.
UltraDavid mentioned via Twitter that the donations have reach over $9000.

Justin Wong using Lei-Lei and Thor in MvC 3. I'm happy to see them getting some exposure.
So let me get this straight, Justin wins another MvC3 Tourny with the team of Thor, Hsien Ko, and Chris. Yeah right, next you're going to tell me that John Cena lost to the Miz at Wrestlemania... what?... He did...?
And BTW, congratulation to the guys runnings the tournaments today and raising 30,000$. It really does show that there are good people in the world and I hope it goes to help the people of Japan.

I never really likes JWong before but, to be honest I completely changed my mindset on this guy. He gives us incredible matches to watch and always tries to put on a show. I'm happy to see someone actually use Thor and at a super high level. I'm most impressed on how dedicated he was to get down to this event being so far away. Also big shouts out to the gaming community and everyone who donated their time, effort and money for a great cause.
To thoses who said Thor sucked, just watch that Thor stomping on people's head.

thor is garbage , jwong did nothing with thor that was impressive ..
jwong thor combos were l,m,f launcher which is as basic as you can get...
people need to understand hsien-ko assist in armor is broken and was known to be so from day one.....
it's his strategy that won the game......
guys like flow and clockwork and all other Americans need to ask why jwong can pick any team and win against them with even week one combos......

I play Thor sometimes (I need a team rearrangment though) Thor does'nt have fancy long combos for a reason, he is a Tank, he has the most health in the game (Now) and he does a LOT of damage with his normals and specials. His attacks also has a lot of hit Stun Decay to prevent him from doing super logn combos.
Thor is about damage, pure Damage, short and sweet. Once he gets a hit confirm, expect pain, lots of it. With the right assist he is a force to be reckoned with. people just like to play rush down teams because thats what MvC hype is all about but playing smart is also important and rushing in brainlessly even againts Thor is highly unadvised cuz if you mess up, your gonna pay for it.
Man aother team for Justin? Man Jwong your insane. His thor will get good, mark my words. Give him some time, just like what he did with amaterasu, she hulk and tron.
JWong proving clearly that skill > tiers in MvC3, or maybe it would be more accurate to say Justin MARVELOUS Wong > tiers. Yeah he didn't pull out any secret touch of death Thor combos that we've never seen, that was almost the point. With the help of a cheapass assist he took a pretty competitive tourney using 2 of what the community has called the worst characters in the game. Still that assist alone can't explain how he was able to outmatch everyone so badly, other than his ability.
