The combo itself is pretty damaging without the ultra to end it. Bad thing is it only works on these four characters.

Chill out man people have the right to think that Evil Ryu is ass or whatever. Good for you if you like him. My personal opinion is that the SF4 series' roster is mostly lame, and E.Ryu does not help the cause, but I don't mind him at this point.

So as you can see shotos are the 2nd least in the columns after grapplers just because majority is shoto online doesn't mean there is too many Sri b!tchin. With ONI and e.ryu that makes 10 shotos only 1 more character than charge chars. Yun and yang make the (other) column 14 chars so dnt kno why ur complaining about there is too many shotos! And yes el fuerte is a grapple some people dnt belive that. So there no more of complaining about too many shotos

Shotos are simply variations of Ryu and Ken.
All the other character styles you mentioned are completely diferent from each other. But of course you know that. But good try.

i dnt hate evil ryu but i still agree he was a waste
1. he adds nothing new to the game, isn't unique at all.
2. his whole moveset suggests he won't be that much better. than ryu or akuma (definitely worse than akuma).
3. since AE's supposed to be more aggressive, normal ryu would do just fine since ryu's basically good at everything making evil ryu as i said a "waste".
4. the only reason people are really liking him is because of his looks e.g flame aura, ultras , cool looking moves and combo ease.
5. out of all the characters they could have added, they added him -_-, if there going to add a fireball character atleast make it a totally new character like they did with juri because evil ryu was just lazy.

Agreed except about Sagat. Sagat has a move which functions like a tatsu (and is on a kick button), and has an invincible uppercut and spammy fireballs. Put that together with the fact he gets ridiculously high damage output that other, more interesting characters have to work much harder to get, and he certainly fits my definition of a shoto.
If anything I'd say someone that looks like a shoto but really isn't is Sakura, or Dan.

Wat the hell do u mean he is a waste? E.ryu is gonna be better than ryu thats been prived e.ryu is an aggressive char and thats all ae us about the rush chars are at the rop sooooo e.ryu is up there. And if the definition of a shoto is uppercut tastumaki and hadoken type then ssf4 doesnt have enough shotos. E.ryu is a way more interesting char more than those bs chars people are cryin over like karin,elena,or rolento. E.ryu has been the whole backstory of ryu akuma gouken bison and seth! Ryu has been fighting this inner demon for the past decade and akumas whole pupose is o unleash this power to give him a giid fight and he himself unleash his true power. Bison other than control the world he is tryig to harness the power within ryu so he can be invincible and so does seth! All sf4 story ties in with e.ryu it was a matter of time before we got to play a him! In sf3 e.ryu is gone and they dnt mention at all it only makes sense to add him and we fans can finally get to play as the infamous e.ryu the only being able to beat akuma yet u tell me he is not interesting? Get the f#ck outta here with that bs. Give me a good solid 5 reasons as to why he shouldnt be in the game

the story to sf isn't even that good, its actually quite messed up thats why you hear people say characters like these are a waste, evil ryu can't beat shin akuma a.k.a full power akuma so i don't no how you concluded evil ryu wins out.

Akuma > E Ryu
If they really want the game to stand out, then Some really exciting additions would be :
1. New Characters with unique move set such as Terry Bogard or Kyo Kusanagi from KOF (I know they're snk characters, but hey capcom did copy abel directly from Daimon, although KOF has been doing the same for years)
2. Oni, who sucks balls, needs to have a new ultra that will make him badass. That ultra would be Misogi (in which he instantly teleports from his original position onto several feet above the victim's head region with a deadly slash while descending)
3. Nerf Yun and Yang, the new brokens.
Lol at people listing gouken as a shoto. He has Fire balls and a tastu that goes Up THATS IT. Other then those he has unique moves like kongo and Thrust palm moves. His demon flip is based off akumas but it still unique to him as he has a air parry in it.
I would consider gouken in the "Other" Catagory then shoto.

Okay sO whats f#ckin new? E.ryu is supposed to be ryu with akuma attributes but at the same time is different i'd like to see akuma pull if the exact same move right in thos video! Another is guile and charlie they have the exact same moveset and only 1 or 2 different normals yet he is high demand. Same goes for ken and ryu same sh!t but 1 different moveset and franes abd stuff and yet they are different! You cant go in a tournament using ryu tactics with ken and excpect to win the whole thing. You may win some matches but in all they are different so until its out on consoles then your complaining wont matter. All my friebds say he is actually different its just that if there is any relation to his gameplay its ryu with akuma moves with better fireball and frames of start ups and links. E.ryu is a different and unique char. Youre talking about me beig a fanboy which the term is way overused becasue anyone who defends a cause is a fanboy nowadas so stfu! And no im not a fanboy you are just a hater that your unessaccery chars didnt make it. Are you stupid? The main point which is trying to be communicated if you wanted to go rush down, then choose Akuma and if you wanted a zoning character, then choose Ryu. It is just a waste of a character when they could add a totally different character because E.Ryu does not really excel more at one play style compared to Akuma and Ryu so it is really not necessary.
Ryu, Ken and Akuma are already quite similar so why add another shoto who is similar to the list? The difference with the high demand for Nash is because there is only Guile and no similar character which is why adding Nash would be beneficial. Its basically like having SF with only Ryu and no Ken but then E.Ryu is totally an unnecessary addition.
E.Ryu is not a unique character. He may be a bit different but he is not unique. Definition of unique is "existing as the only one or as the sole example" and obviously E.Ryu is a mix of Ryu and Akuma's move set, looks and play styles thus he is obviously not unique. Oni is unique as he is the only character with a air dash sort of move, a totally new and useful move, an air fireball ultra, a air dashing super grab (Air raging demon) different playstyle from Akuma and he is not a combination of characters.
You should stop wasting your time trying to talk sh*t because it only makes you look more scrubbier and makes your argument less valid.
