watsup with people dropping the webhead's combos? Does he have poor hitboxes? Also, his new web sling move doesnt seem that good. Of course this is all speculation, but his new web sling seems to be no better than that bosses move from blazblue continuum shift.

Calm down boy. You played the TGS build? If you don't so, anything you can read against spiderman is baseless and pure crap.
Spiderman looks better than his mvc2's version, which is an improvement. I want to see a better Spidey too, boy. The game it's not released yet and Killian always say's than the builds are NOT the final game. The most we can hope for is to see a balance in the gameplay much better than mvc2, included bottom tiers like Spiderman, Chun li (that looks much better than mvc2, is more like the TvC chun-li, who it's amazing), Ryu (better than mvc2 version, looks like TvC) and Wolverine.

spiderman does look better in mvc3...his best move in mvc2 was his web-throw, which if combo-ed into correctly was half life (more than a super)...you didn't even need supers with spiderman if you can combo web-throws. point being, in mvc3 it looks like spiderman has a lot more options this time around whether it'll still put him in bottom tier or not the fact is, he's a lot better then all of his prequels combined.
Weak or not, Spidey will always be on at least one of my teams. If you know how to use him, you will use him, its that simple
from what I've seen its looking like my teams will be
Dante/Deadpool/Wesker or Chris
and Spidey/Cap/ and one of the 3 above. Ill probably be mixing up teams between these 5. I deff wana try out Ammy too tho. Just throwing that out there

on an interview from G4 coverage at TGS with Seth Killian, Seth said that X-23 is the most fastest (for now) character in the game and that she has ridiculously a lot of combo strings potential and an all around versatile character!
wesker is not the new magneto! (gameplay or even villainy) wesker is mostly focused as a combination of defensive/counter type and advanced combo setup! (i haven't seen anyone using him as rush down player specially with his insane teleport move from all the videos out there!) i might be wrong but we will see when the game comes out!

i play mvc2 tourny's and won a couple few here in s.florida! and i guess u haven't seen the rest of the videos about x-23 gameplay! look around the net boy there's a couple few out there that u haven't seen! and by just seeing those videos out here on eventhubs and u already decide she plays like marrow! gtfo! she's not even close or similar on marrows's gameplay!
idk about this whole x-23=marrow deal...for me at least x-23 reminds ME of old school wolverine in all the vs. series before mvc2 when wolvie was top tier and can handle a whole team by himself...i've never seen high level marrow play so i can't speak on that but...all the marrows i've seen get smashed on. x-23 looks like she can hold her own

Exactly, who is saying the opposite? Spidey looks BETTER right now. Yeah, right Spidey has a low damage combos and other things that need to be improved, included web swing combo follower etc., but the game it's not released yet just wat you say. Both things apply to X-23 too.
If you play the TGS build, maybe you can explain better your point detailing the goods and bads of the four new characters, do you think?
as far as seeing the assist system they have in mvc3, they still have the same and look the same assist in mvc2, but a different effect now in mvc3, example is doom's aaa (molecular sheild) watch the videos again, mvc3 is a whole different game from mvc2 (its slower and assist spam is not that effective anymore), u just said x-23 is weak, cuz what? u compare her from marrow (which by the way imo she's totally not) and she can be only be good with assist... wtf? seriously!?!? u cant rate a character prowess thru assist helps, and for me i dont need high gameplay i prefer higher skillplay to bring out the best out of a character!
@43 yeah...speakin' on this build, if you watch some of the new vids Doom's molecular shield doesn't keep spinning then shoot out...it just does one revolution and then sprays, which means Doom may not be every trap character's BFF anymore. on top of that, there's a longer spawn time to recall assists out. I already have a trap team in mind, though it can't be certain until i have my actual hands on the game....and homeboy comparing x-23 to marrow is pure bullocks only b/c the game isn't even out yet. i think you should use phrases like "x-23 reminds me of marrow..." instead of claiming "x-23 plays like marrow..." b/c then your statement has no validity without any evidence
omg magneto...i was playing MVC2 earlier today and it was so hard to hit the dang son of a gun. ( cant cuss here so yeah)
it seemed like he could easily float in the air for the entire battle or something. it was annoying just trying to jump up and hit him
@61theiceman your saying you played the TGS build and therefore know how Wesker, Tronbonne, X-23 and Spiderman play, none of which were actually playable in the TGS build so please STFU, you know about us much as everyone else about the final balance of the game.... nothing. Not even Capcom know at this point.

has anyone fought againt magneto in mvc2 and magneto was the ai and just fly to the top of the left side of the screen?
man he did that to me earlier in MVC2...if they do add magneto please fix that...took like 30 seconds for him to finally come down so i can smack the hell out of him

Don't hold your breath for Jill Valentine. Apart from silly things like summoning zombies & the Tyrant, Chris Redfield is pretty much the same character: RE person with a lot of guns. Also Frank West is totally gonna have the zombie summoning thing once they confirm him.
