I'm not sure how many times it needs to be said before all you people notice, but the leaked list was already debunked personally by the director of the game. :P He debunked a couple characters that were on the list, such as Emma Frost. Otherwise, the list appears quite accurate because it features a ton of characters that were incredibly obvious and/or popular, so it wouldn't be a big surprise if it turned out they were in it. But regardless of how accurate the leaked lists are, they were already debunked solely because of Emma Frost and Niitsuma.

Wesker looked BEAST. Spidey was a surprise seeing the whole Activision having rights currently. Thanks to Marvel for busting their ass the get him in. If Strider can make the roster as well as Poison (Ono DID say she was busy) and Haggar. I'll definitely look past X's exclusion then.
I have faith we'll at LEAST see an updated Classic Mega Man or revamped Volnutt to promote Legends 3. I'd really love to see Zero series Zero return in a non garbade fighter too using his lance, chain, saber and blaster.

I don't think they needed to wrestle Spiderman away from Activision, man. Spiderman is THEIR character, Activision is just making some games with him. To think Activision could have more power over Marvel with one of their characters is simply ridiculous.

You know, the issue of licensing is something interesting. When a company has the license for some character, it's specifically for a one type or specific type of games.
Activision has the license for making all around spiderman games, except for fighting games. Remember Marvel Nemesis? The game exists because then EA had the license to make fighting games based on Marvel characters. EA lose the license after that game. In fact, google about a second Marvel Nemesis game that would have the participation of Thor and others new chars.
I'm so glad wesker is in very excited. Now I got my fingers crossed for Bison and Carnage.

You can't put Chris in the game and not Wesker.... Wesker was the third most requested character in the Comic Con streaming. It's sad that they do not want to add Mega Man X and Gene from God Hand who were the most requested characters at that time.
I'm also worry about Captain Commando and Strider Hiryu and looks like they are not going to make it. I really hope that this game can add more characters via DLC because so far the roster is just not enough. Not bad but not enough.

On the subject of hypers, anyone notice how these guys have 3 level ones? Either they're taking out universal level 3's, or some people will have more hypers than others by a bit.

YES spider-man finally gets revealed! now venom can be revealed! i am really loving his changes, the webthrow that now takes him to the wall if he misses, the web yank that takes him to his oppenent, and especially the new maximum spider and his voice from the spectacular spider-man which was a kickass show that was unfairly cancelled.
wesker on the other hand, is looking kinda meh to me. i know this isn't overly much to go on because i dont think we've seen his specials, but damn is he heavy on the teleporting. i do like his hypers though, but the counter one seems a little bit of a waste, look at the lack of damage. but hell, beggers cant be choosers, i've wanted wesker in here bad and i got him, i'm happy with that!

That's not it at all. Anyone can play Spidey perfectly and be devastated by these characters. Thus far it seems like he's not going to be great, he has no particular strengths thus far (Not even mobility, which I don't understand.), has terrible damage output (Except the web grab.) and pretty much he's going to be owned by the new characters. It's just fact, maybe you just haven't played MvC2.

It's about time, now that's what I'm talking about some SWEET Characters at last, the game is starting to look good again. Spidy is awesome, Albert Wesker is exactly like I would see him a-bad ass! That last silhouette is revealed and it was Wesker it's just that the person colored over it too much. I think the other one was Spider man- again the coloring was too thick on the edges.
So far the Leaked List is still winning and is still true. Now we have Frank West silhouette, She-Hulk possible silhouette, Silver Surfer specualion, and the Crimson Viper silhouetter... I guess next month would prove characters not on the leaked list..
spider-man is a f*ucking beast in MvC2, idk what you guys are talking about. i personally suck with him, but i know people that can just dominate with him, and now with his new abilities, he's going to be even beter. maximum spider is not his level 3, if you've noticed, whenever a level 3 is activated a different, more dramatic sound effect is played. watch the wesker vid right when he does the missile hyper, then listen when he does any other hyper. maximum spider doesn't have that sound
enough about this leaked list, to me it's pretty obvious what went down. that list was a rough draft. mr fantastic was replaced with skrull, and others were too. characters that have already been deconfirmed are not in it, they are replaced. there is no mr. fantastic and no emma frost. deal with it.

Yeah, the list was simply a draft. The list was definitely "real", it just wasn't final. There's no way they just guessed obscure characters like X-23, and the return of Tronne Bonne (Who hasn't been in a game since the last MVC and Misadventures: both games were a decade ago.
Need a few more Capcom villains- bring on Gill, Sigma, and Bison!
Marvel just needs 2 villains being Magneto and Apocalypse.
Don't know about you, but I thought the music was the best for these two characters, and Albert Wesker had a cool walk like K' from King of Fighters...

Why not? They could have easily simply given Reed a completely different set of specials/supers/hypers/whatever from Super Skrull. That being said, Mr. Fantastic can do a lot more with his powers than what we've seen so far from the Super Skrull demo vids.

Got some commments for these two characters! Spiderman has always been my favorite character from Marvel vs. Street Fighter to the present. I love how they improved on the visuals on his moves from MvC2. His web line dash moves make him even more nimble like a spider. The best is the re-edition of his Maximum Spider hyper.
Wesker looks like a top 5 tier player. His teleport is sick, too fast and make opponents too timid to attack. That super counter is just not fair. LOL! Poor Captain America. I really wish we can get some more videos on his other moves. That teleport and his dash punches can't be only his two basic super moves.

I wouldn't say Strider or Captain Commando is not in yet because those characters were not confirmed not to be in yet. The leaked list is correct, but not all of those characters will be in, some will be replaced- actually they are already replaced and you'll see the surprises soon-I can tell it's a part of the hype to make you think the list is true. My prediction is that Silver Surfer is the crazy Marvel character, Storm took Emma Frost spot, Taskmaster,and Juggernaut feel a bit iffy and may not be in (Hopefull one is replaced with Apocalypse (they put Apocalypse in I'll probably stop playing MVC 2 lol). Some of those Capcom characters you see maybe replaced, hopefully Akuma is one of them!!! lol Capcom give us some more of your powerful villains!!!

Hopefully they will bring a better upgrade to Wolverine as well, as he seems to play like his weaker MvC2 counterpart with a little more ultra link ups. If they fix him to play like his original MvC self, then I say he can stand a chance in this game.

the reason why Mr. Fantastic wouldn't be in it is because super skrull is there so that none of the FF would have to be because they couldn't get any of the FF due to licensing problems. and why would they put him in if he has a fraction of the capabilities for moves and hypers that super skrull has? it just wouldn't make any sense.
Actually Strider is jointly owned by Capcom and Moto Kikaku so actually there are no licensing issues at all, if they wanted to put him in, Strider would be in. Why wouldn't the Manga owner want Strider in if he knows he'll get profits lol.
Spiderman would be in regardless of Activision because it's NOT the same game. Marvel can issue the character to anything they want as long it's not the same thing. When MVC 2 was made, Activision also made a SpiderMan game in the same year in 2000.
According to Capcom's pattern in releasing info about characters (for fighting games) I would guess December or January would show the last characters before they show off stuff like game modes and extras, but they could have another plan this time around. Because the release comes up in March (hopefully they change it to February lol.

he can stretch his body into almost any shape. ryu, ken and akuma play similarly because that's how they play in street fighter. they all use hadoken and shoryuken, then differ in other fields. and as far as the licensing issue, that's just what i heard from someone. but to have mr fantastic, and someone who has his exact powers AND MORE in the same game would be ridiculous. look at super skrulls moves, they are almost all based on stretchy arms with thing hands on fire. he uses mr fantastic's powers almost as much as he uses torch's.
and how might you think mr. fantastic would play if he were in it? he'd probably hit you from afar with his stretchy arms right? what does super skrull do? see the problem?

I had X-23 and She-Hulk on there, I thought they needed a new bone claw, so I used her. She-Hulk is a fun and likable character, so I put her on there.
The only FF member that was even talked about being in the game was the Human Torch.
Dormammu was on the first poster for the game, and that list couldn't get that right.
You know who else was on that poster? Frank West, Super-Skrull. The DAY the game was announced, Wesker's VA posted the trailer on his facebook page.
You know who else appeared very early? Tron Bonne, on the Legends stage

Yes I would love to see Juggernaut in MvC3. I wish he was in that list everyone keeps talking a about.I would also wish they add Beta Ray Bill or make it a alternate costume for Thor. I have to agree with the #221 comment Juggernaut was in MvC2 it would make sense if they add him in MvC3. I think game play wise he would fit in perfectly.

In the last 1/2 hour I put up suggestions @ Capcom on why are Juggernaut, Arthur, Mike Haggar, Akuma and Shuma-gorath coming to MvC3 over more popular new choices instead like Rival Schools or Power Stone. Within 1/2 I got a message saying it was moderated...usually a moderated message stays in your box to see but not that one!
Think what you want...Im telling you Legit and you guys are gonna...
a) Kick yourself for not believing sooner
b) be mad at Capcom for lying
c) sulk in silence

@229: Because this is totally different game, that's why. Don't count on every single character from MvC 2 to make it into this game. If anything, there's only going to be half of the characters returning from MvC 2, & the other half being completely new to MvC.
So far, that's happening already; we've now got 11 returning characters from MvC 2, & the other 11 being new to the MvC series. If there's going to be a total of 36 characters (in which more of them would come through DLC), then most likely about 18 of them (out of 55 characters from MvC 2; not counting Bone clawed Wolverine) are going to be returning from MvC 2 (9 from Marvel; 9 from Capcom), & the other 18 being new (again, 9 from Marvel; 9 from Capcom).
If there's 38 characters, they'll be 19 old characters; 19 new ones. 40 characters; 20 old ones & 20 new ones. You get the picture.
hey wait i wanted to see mysterio and sandman those are new capcom villains they should add

@ 102 Yes he injected himself with not only the T-virus but other stuff as well. His body bonded with the virus thats why he seems normal other than his eyes and as far as Zombie-esk moves, he's basically a tyrant but normal looking..super strength and speed which was the goal of the G-Virus anyways

I'm curious what he's saying during the final super of that trailer (The Maximum Spider/wesker one :) ). He says "Useless _____!". What's he saying!?

I think Wesker sounds Japanese in the middle of the video, as well as that final super at the end. I just think they don't have very many lines recorded for him yet in English, which would explain his lack of an English opening line there at the start.
Then again, his voice is quiet as HELL. He needs to speak up a bit, I can barely understand him even when I do know what he's saying.
Pretty sure Wesker is gonna be too filthy. Nice to see a solid rush-down character with a good teleport. That was really my favorite thing about Strider is assist/ teleport cross ups.

I was thinking about what you said. What a bout MODOK he hasn't been in any MvC games. Do you and for that matter anyone else think he would make a good Villain that deserves to be in MvC3?
I think he has the potential to be a good addition to the already awesome roster of MvC3. I would like to see what they do to him if he somehow manages to get in the game.
in the parts where the fighting is in the tricel lab, he speaks japanese. the only english i could make out that he says is when he uses his counter hyper, he says "you don't stand a chance!" and then after he counters he starts to say "such a-" then he gets cut off. besides when he says "pathetic!" in one of his attacks, i can't make anything else out.
also, i find it hilarious when he's beating up joe. you've got wesker in his trench coat with this dramatic music playing as he beats up this little cartoon midget in red tights with a rainbow bridge and a pegasus behind him.

a lot of people have been saying how MODOK should be in, but i can't imagine why. he's a big fat head with stubby limbs that floats around. sure he has psychic powers, but how would that work in this kind of fighter? i'd say that carnage should really be in it. his ability to turn his hands into axes, shoot daggers from his hands, and how like he runs around on all fours would really make him an interesting character, not to mention his potential for funny dialogue.
people have also been saying how sandman should be in it. although i think he would be cool, i just don't see him being in it with characters like venom and carnage there to take his spot as the spider-man series villain, which i'm sure there will be at least one other spider-man character.

As far as Hiryu from the Strider series is concerned, a licensing issue will have to be settled before he'd be added to MVC3. The character is jointly owned by Capcom and Moto Kikaku. So without his okay first, Capcom won't have the green light for his inclusion.
Bayonetta, while a nice idea, is neither a property of Marvel, nor Capcom. The game would be Marvel Versus Capcom Versus Sega... Lol
The Kazamas are Namco's deal, so the person who said that, either here or at Shoryuken.com can keep dreamin'. For now anyway... Lol I want Norimaro from MSHvSF in MVC3, but that's another dream, heard only in whispers.

Hey Guys new here to the site and I was reading alot your comments on who is or isn't on the the supposed true list. And I know they(capcom) already have picked out the roster and it's done, but I thought about who I would like to see in for DLC if they go that route. First off, I'm a guy that thinks out side the box and likes those really different characters with wierd styles like Dormammu. He looks really fun and interesting. I like to see new faces and try different flavors, I love Magneto and Sentinal but how much better or different can he get with out all the hardcore Mag lovers whining. He's not what he was like in MvC2 he sucks now. I mean do we all wanna be playing mag,sentinal, storm the same way for the next 10 years in MVC7 no! lets change it up a lil right? and So I came up with guys and reasons why they would be cool to see or fun to play. I don't expect anybody to like them but just think about them and give an opinion. Now I sorry but most of these guys are capcom guys because I played alot of their games in my time. Sorry marvel but I didn't read too many comics but I did put couple guys in there.
1. Dr Wily (Go figure right?) He could be like captain Commando. Lots of cool asisst call-ins. I mean he would be a whole roster list in himself of which master robots he would use. Awesome hilarious supers using every one of his robot masters to dog pile you or pummel you with their rightful powers or use one of his giant robots or worse his flying saucer. And when he dashes he runs away cryin and when he ducks he grovels praying not to kill him.
2.Arthur (I know he's on that list but I'm rootin for him)
He could throw lots of different project tiles that have different flight patterns as well as damage properties. He would be all scronny in his armor and at certain life point he would fall out of his armor and be Meage ripped in his heart boxers. He could also get super shiny armor for a super and takes more damage (ala Colossus).
3. Nathan Rad Spencer (Once again I know he's rumored but I'm rootin for him) He can swing all over the place yeah just like spider man but he could shoot at the same time though. He can latch on to his enemy and zip kick and do death from above(it's a huge ground pound with his bionic arm) as a super. He would have lots of diferrent guns to use as well as grenades. Kinda bring back Cable but not as cheap with all the beams.
4.From mega man x not x himself cause they(capcom) said no. So lets do Vile. Xs' Badass arch nemesis. He has a shoulder machine gun and he can hover and drop bombs from his boots. For one of his supers he could call in and ride his giant mech he calls the Golliath and smash you with it.
5.Firebrand (from Demon's Crest)this guy is originally comes from Gouls and Goust, but he got his own game which was awesome. He can fly. Spit fire and he could change into 4 or 5 other elemntal demons that could change his powers and his moves sets as well as his apearence.
6. Marvel Side. Sandman. Just think of the possiblities he could create with his powers. His dash is like black heart but super duper faster. Supers endless imaginations. Big ass sand tidal wave??? Sweet!!!
7. Mysterio. (I know.. Bubble head dude?? Seriously?)In MvC3s' look, color and feel his powers would just look mind blowing and trippy. Now only if we could find away for those powers to be real and actually do damage.
Thats all I will do for now but I have more.

I bet Doramammu was hidden from that list because he was a boss and Capcom wanted to throw people off by including him.

MODOK would be sick!i forgot about him.I doubt hell be included though since characters like Dormmamu and Doom already have that evil fighting style.Im still hoping they give classic Megaman or Zero another shot.I agree Dr Willy or Mysterio would be awesome too, they both have powers that would look incredible in this game.And ofcourse my favorite Nightcrawler,hes just begging to be in this game,his powers are perfect for this game,I dont think he has a good shot of being included,but if he is ill probably have a seizure from pure happiness
capcom needs to cut the bull and just put in every single capcom character ever and every single relevant marvel character in the past 20 years and put every snk character in and just release this game in 2018 as a launch title for ps4. and call it marvel vs capcom vs snk 3: Ultimate omfg edition.
this way they can finish the trilogy for both marvel and snk at once and give the fans everybody to choose from
JUST BECAUSE MOST OF THE CHARACTERS ON THAT LIST IS CONFIRMED DOES NOT MEAN THE LIST IS COMPLETLY TRUE.
Capcom had to debunk the list because if they said X,Y,Z is not in it but A,B,C is then it would spoil the reveals because they knew some of the characters in there were good guesses.
However, that does not mean the alleged "leaked list" is true. Obvious guesses like SPiderman, Wesker are gonna be right because these are highly demanded characters and fan favorites who are also current in pop culture. But characters l ike Elektra, She-Hulk, Mike Hagger, Mr. Fantastic (Theres like a ton of reports on why) have been debunked by Nitsuma himself.
@287 I can sort of see why you'd want Cammy in the game (despite the fact that her moves need a serious overhaul if they're to be flashy enough for this game), but Viper? Viper is the worst female Capcom character of all time, how could anyone possibly like her? I don't give a crap about her moves, she's poorly designed and a terrible stupid b*tch that only cares about money. She's the most unlikeable character Capcom has ever made.
I must say I am pleasantly surprised. :) I never was truly a fan of Wesker, but I really think this guy will offer something new to this game. I just now hope for Arthur, and Hsien Ko
