So she's kinda of popular. She has claws out her feet and two claws and rage that's triggered by a scent. I'm saying this all off the top from the things I read on her here and there I might be wrong. She was cloned from wolvie DNA. She's wild some I'm guessing and hoping she's quick. It's nice that they have X-23 but it seems to break some of Capcom's logic in the past that they will not overlap characters. How will she fight? If they can have Wolverine and X-23 in the same game who are basically clones, why can't they have Punisher and Chris Redfield?

It's not that she will play different it's that she's just a dumb choice. With character like Storm, Rogue, Jean Gray, and Psylock MIA why is this character making the cut? In fact I question why a lot of character are making the cut. I don't see a lot of character in this game I want to play.
Oh I love X-23, she's even more crazy than Wolverine in the comics! She's a true killer, can't wait to see how she plays. A lot of people call her a wolverine clone( which she actually is), but if capcom does this right, they can make her an amazing character. I agree with someone above to make her style a bit like Cammy, she's got to be quick and savage like her comicbook counterpart. As a character I love her, I'm just curious to see how she will play in this game.

X-23 is genetically Wolverine's daughter because his DNA was mixed with the Lead of the project, Dr.Sarah Kinney, who was cloning wolverine. X-23 was trained the point where a certain chemical can send her into a rage, and unlike wolverine she has weapons training and taught not to always use her claws. Dr. Kinney Kidnapped her away from Weapon X but they were tracked down and X-23 was set off with that chemical trigger and killed her own mother. and soon was picked up by Wolverine and the X-men.

^your a fool if you think the game will fail. The fact that dante and deadpool are in the game or enough to push a million copy's as it is. Then there's still the fact that storm is still sure to make it in. Also x-23 is known to those who reads comics you know the people the game is targeted at as well as capcom fans.

I too bitch and whine bout some of my favorite characters not being in(X,venom,nightcrawler),but alot of them are,(deadpool,amaterasu,super skrull)so regardless of whos in and whos out by now,this game is already incredible,and i cant wait to play it and start kicking ass on it.even if dumb characters like x-23 are tacking the place of more worthy characters like X,cyclops,or nightcrawler.

I know comics to a degree, but not so much the X-Men. I only heard of X-23 in passing before.
of course I find this character choice a bit disappointing, but there's so many characters in the game that I like/find interesting that I'm not really up in arms about it. Other than X-23, Dante, and Trish, I've been 100% satisfied with the roster and that's pretty great

X-23 wasn't in the second X-men Movie...that was lady DeathStrike different character......
X-23 was created originally for X-men Evolution but she got a Harley Quin(Ported over from Cartoon to Comic) and she's been growing ever since mind you she was first shown in 2003

I remember them saying how they didn't want to put some characters in the game that are too similar to other ones, so this makes zero sense to me. Like, with their current mentality I don't suspect there will be Ken or Akuma, etc, since we have Ryu. I think that's fine. But this one I don't get since we already have Wolverine. I'm sure they'll make her different enough and all, but still. I hope some of the other characters people are wishing for make the cut still.
well the roster itself is in it's early stages though and plus the game doesn't come out till next year so we got plenty of time for capcom to announce who is in the game.

I knew it, the fake leak is REAL, there's ONLY a few characters that was confirmed not to be in. It feels like that list was at first a ROUGH till they decided to replace certain characters to say don't trust it. Even though characters were said not to be in, I still think that list is correct,but perhaps they just made certain changes.
I'm not excited about X-23 (that feels like a clone character), I was hoping for Storm or She-Hulk to be confirmed. I bet Storm would replace Emma Frost since they decided not to put Emma in.

X-23 looks fun... but what a disappointment. She's a real flavor of the month kind of character. Like the 2000's equivalent to 90's Cable.

LOL, those gameplay videos make her look like ass(nothing special about her character, she just looks like a worse version of Dante or Wolverine gameplay wise), and her voice acting bland and stilted "Get out of here before I really get mad!" Oh yeah? So mad you are bored reading lines off of a script? Glad to hear the good japanese voices for Chun and Ryu though. Those are good, Tron's is meh hopefully her english voice is good.

Just like always, every single freaking video they put out for these things gets me more and more hyped. Awesome trailer with some glimpses at some hyper combos. Weapon X hyper looks awesome as hell.
Also totally nice of them to show off what are very obviously Tron Bonne and X-23's Level 3 Hypers, yet still make them only take off 1 bar of energy.
I love how people keep bitching about the roster, while it's only 20 characters deep, and the final number is supposed to be mindboggling. A lot of the top characters from both franchises have yet to be revealed, but you all KNOW they're gonna be there. They gotta fill the rest of the 80 character (or however many are gonna be in) spots somehow, and personally I think they've been pretty awesome so far, except for maybe Trish.

Those are totally the Level 3s, dude. The 2nd Hyper Tron Bonne uses in her video, and the 3rd one X-23 uses are very much Level 3 moves. Compare how flashy they are to the other two moves you see them using, and I think those will eventually be their Level 3 hypers, although they will perhaps be a bit more cinematic.
This isn't the first time they've shown a Level 3 Hyper earlier than needed. Super-Skrull's first gameplay video showed him taking off half of Chun-Li's lifebar with a Level 1 move. This move was later turned into his Level 3 and made a lot more flashier. So don't rule it out.
... unless my hunch that every character is getting four Hypers is true. ;)
X-23 is the only character announced thus far (besides Frank West) that I have a problem with. I don't care how she plays, she isn't a good fit for the roster because of Wolverine. I don't have a problem with Marvel pushing their girl, but it should have been one or the other. Wolverine should have gotten cut if they were this hellbent in putting her in the game.
So X got trashed but Tronne Bonne gets a place in the roster?
Way to go Capcom, the game looks great but it could have been way better to put in X, she's lucky she has the Servbots or else she'd be a real letdown for MvC3.

why would people want storm? broken character in mvc2. doubt she will be in this game 100% sure. X-23 should be in the game as shes been out for a while. Those who don't know anything about capcom and marvel stuff should stop whining and talking like you know it all.
I find I'm always in the minority when it comes to these things, but... Am I the only one who has issues with the visuals? The character models don't look organic - more like shiny action figures and some of their animations look sort of stiff... In particular, I think I'm having an issue with Woverine; those long straight claws just don't mesh well (I really loved those big fat claws from his MvC2 sprite, slashing all over the place). Then there's the facial expressions during the win poses, which are pretty lifeless (do their mouths even move when they talk?). Granted, some of this could get touched up before release, and I could understand if it's a space constraint thing, but the roster's not supposed to make it over 40, so I would think they could make an improvement here or there.
I have a feeling that a year after this games release no one will be playing it. Everything about this game looks so boring. The stupid TVC engine, the characters nobody wants, the lack of the character from the original MVC2, the lack of the feel of MVC. Man I was so up for this game but I dunno anymore. The more I see the less it feels like Marvel.
@170 it's a new game times change this game is going to sell and by the way its hyped up I highly doubt it'll be put down. Tvc was on the wii that's why it's not as hype bit when u bring out a game that's been hyped up before it even came out and people all over played the other vs games not just die hard guys that compete in tournys you know it's gonna move units once it drops. I know people who don't know what the hell a framerate is that can play as good as one on a tourny level in mvc2. Poin blank capcom is smart this is all gonna pay off. For every person that complains in here there's about 100+ more out there that are going to cop come release day.

So far we only have Morigan Chun, Trish, Felicia, tron-bonne and X-23. first marvel girl is X-23 where are the other marvel babes?

I don't know this X-23 character but her fighting style looks like a half baked version of Wolvie. Too much fan service and not enough "umph". Tron Bonne...enjoying taking X's slot you P.O.S. It looks like a clone of Wolverine, acts like a clone of Wolverine but it isn't. She has a different moveset like that claw Drill kick ( looks like a rip-off of Drill Claw), a changeable Charging Claw attack similar to Rufus Mesiah Kick, a counter swipe move, two level one supers where one turns her invisible ( thinking of Twelve from SFIII) and a sick looking level 3 super. She even looks faster than Wolverine. Not a clone, maybe an improvement.
It's funny to me how a lot of mvc fan boys' knowledge of marvel characters is limited to which marvel characters appeared in previous capcom games. You guys never read the comics ???? The purpose of the mvc series is to appeal to long time fans of marvel and long time fans of capcom. Really, for the most part, these fan groups SHOULD be 1-and-the-same. So some of you should stop crying about the marvel character's they put in this game just because YOU never heard of them. All the REAL marvel fans know exactly who they are AND appreciate they're inclusion.

This is turning out to be the worst crossover cast in the series. So much john does and so many great characters left out. For every cool new character like Dante we get 2-3 idiots like Viewtiful Joe, characters whom the advocates for "originality" want to play AGAINST but not WITH...
This is seriously the least appealing character cast since Marvel vs Street Fighter.
I just want to say that X-23 and Tron Bonne both were on the Fake/Rumor list and maybe Dormamu was not on that list but we got 2 more characters from that list.
The bad news is that Captain Commando was not on that list and I'm very afraid that he is not going to make it to MvC3 :(
#236 you do realize that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 had a GIANT cast? And it had it back in the days where most fighting games had 1/3 of that number. So even with 2 Wolverines things where mighty different back then. I am all in favor of Capcom and Marvel taking these decisions themselves and so far i am loving what i have seen. Yet its expected for some people to be disappointing and while i am still thrilled over the game (a LOT) i did not really like X23 going by the gameplay videos, that is all

X-23 has been around in marvel for a while, but honestly, with so many wolverines in Marvel, no one cared enough, neither she could shine by herself. Plus, she acts like a teenager in permanent period, either shes feeeling insecure, emo, or just plain emo rage-ing. Marvel has A LOT of girls, they choose the wolverine clone. Bad =/

no, the list is true,obviously they threw in characters on that list that are not in the game to throw you off. The characters confirmed not to be in like Emma and Mr. Fantastic are just used to throw you off-to make you think it's fake. Emma will be replaced with Storm and Mr. Fantastic will be replaced with the Silver Surfer. The list was just a rough, but not the final cast--you'll see!
stop calling X-23 a fudging clone dammit. she typically has two claws and wolverine a has 3. Her moves are way different than wolverine. anyway her combos are pretty tight.

OH wait, I forgot, I'm on the internet, there's trolls here! lol If ANYTHING the only thing similar in gameplay is the fact that she has some claws and can slash them, doesn't look like the same moveset at all though in my opinion o_O...I don't remember Wolverine ever cannon striking or doing crazy ass kicks on the ground like X-23 is in the video, X-23 is an agile character, I assume she's going to be similar to Cammy in the sense that she looks like a Rush Down character and she can cannon strike lmao

They always show you the least cool characters, and then they show you the characters you're looking for. I don't think X-23 and Tron Bonne are the only characters that are going to be shown this month. I would hope they go ahead and show ALbert Wesker, She-Hulk,some other Capcom villain, and Silver Surfer or at least confirm the characters that will not be in the game so you would know.
