Macros aka Mapping Inputs aka what buttons do on a console but with a PC you can do it freely and if you hack right I can press the A key and Do a hadoken without even pressing forward.
I'm not sure why they're doing this if it is real(which it's still a rumor kinda like hmmm INGRID). They have no idea how SF4 Arcade will preform and if it will be profitable to do this, especially with the PC crowd getting the shaft like this for so long it might get MORE Piracy problems
You guys really need to stfu, lol. Anything that is released for PC can get pirated, ranging from any game to any piece of software. There is no preventing it, if you want to do that you just don't let it get on PC in the first place.

Um no there is no chance you can play against daigo and them because pc online play doesn't crossover with xbox or ps3. You only play other pc players. Would be interesting to see what the retail price of the game is when the game will be released at least a year after the console version.

I find this to be instulting the person who you are flaming and everyone is rite macros are wrong and that people will download this you are just debating something you cannot win and I refuse to believe. That you can program macros the information you supplied in the matter was insufficient programming is not easy on windows and must be done on linux. this rant is for people who encourage macro usage its ok but do not insult people who say that it is bad or wrong because in a sense it is what your doing is deviating from the liscense and agreement of purchasing the game. Also people are rite the PC version is easier to hack because you can find the cache in the folder easily but programming the macros can be tricky and might damage the game causing a re-install so again do at your own risk but I am not encouraging macro usage only a few people can learn this. Having red the comments here I think that the PC version would actually be a great addition. I mean just because CAPCOM can make more money off this and the PC users will finally join the fight. Aside from that I am also looking forward to the new skins that people will be adding.

For once to an extent.. I agree with MALDA... I am happy that the game will make a PC run again... I am just kind of saddened that people would actually pirate this game instead of showing your dedication to the company and coughing up 30-40 dollars for this game. For the enjoyment you get from this game at that price.. its a good buy. I have no problem with the character moding even though some of them in my opinion are not well done but its the thought that counts.. But.. Why steal the game.. I know most will just continue to do so but would you be okay if thousands to millions (maybe) people were to be cheating you on your money if you made a product?

I second this.
The problem is you cant stop people from stealing games some people just cant afford the prices 50$ + per game. So they just Torrent it and download a Key Generator. If you ask me CAPCOM should lower the price so that less people will try to steal this. But then again they would just be shooting themselves in the foot. If however they release the game for a cheaper price but sell the DLC Packs and keep making more of them and Releasing a Collectors Edition which they probably will eventually. then I can see how they make a profit.
I so wish it was true. I would get this for sure, hopefully they'd move away from GFWL, and I would get a proper arcade stick, instead of just plugging in my PS3 controller.

To all of you who are crying about macros and stuff, you probably never played SFIV on PC.
The biggest problems are Lithuania, Poland, and other poor eastern european countries. They do not only have the highest suicidal rates in the world, but also hold a record for unemployment.
Because of this most of the players from these countries are running SFIV on a computer that isn't even close to meeting the system requirements. So when you're playing them, your street fighter will be running at 15-20 frames/second as well. It gets really frustrating when you play 3 matches in a row and each of your opponents is a Lithuanian.
I'm glad to hear that the PC version will be the same as arcade version. I hope capcom will make it so that if your computer won't meet the requirements the game simply won't start, instead of going to bullet time mode

You could just bind some buttons to an AutoIt or AutoHotkey script.

As we already knew ofcourse, you don't have to charge for a move for 2 seconds, but as you can see in the script, 1080ms is sufficient.
I have tried My hand on doing this for the Xbox360 and Ps3 but it is tremendously hard and exhausting. I have red comments here regarding macros being bad. Well.... all I can say is I cant blame you, you are rite to get angry at me or anyone for that matter and I will accept anything you call me. But grilling people for saying mods is wrong wow. Why should you debate them? They are rite mods are wrong is just like using auto aim for CS and MW2. I know what I am doing is wrong and you should call me all kinds of stuff because I deserve it. I will never share my knowledge with anyone this script will only work for my mod tool so if you are planning to copy the script go ahead it probably wont work for you.
SSF4 on the PC is good I will enjoy making Macro's for this game. Hopefully like I did with SF4.
BTW I main guile and I find it impossible to do his Flash kick FADC into Ultra 2 with my controller that came with SF4 for the PC.

Its not all stubborn, its logic too - hard to easily and logically warrant buying a console and alll the extras when it is technically inferior and outdated hardware vs what we already own. Its feels redundant and a bit wasteful.

@Timefall here in the Philippines we have stalls that sell fake PC and XBOX 360 games except for PS3. I have not seen any fake PS3 games yet but Original is always the way to go because you get your moneys worth and a warranty.
I am sure SSF4 will come to the PC. CAPCOM wont miss an opportunity to make another buck.

Stop putting words into other people's mouths to prove your faulty logic. Nowhere in my post I stated piracy was excusable, I only said the piracy excuse for not making a port was getting very, very old, as the XBOX 360 is just as vunerable and has just as many illegal copies of SF4 as the PC counterpart.
I didn't think that they existed people that played with macros on the PC version. As long as you don't use it online where other people play it's fine but for us that really try hard to become good it's a pain.
I still hope there is a PC version, maybe I'll ask some of the capcom people at TGS if otherwise.
