Peaceful Jay has launched a live Super Street Fighter 4 stream that runs 24/7 and is attached to an Xbox Live Endless Battle room.
You can find more fights on Peaceful Jay's YouTube channel.
I've played on this stream twice, got ruined repeatedly. I think I won two round combined out of both times. I need to level up. Though playing in front of hundreds of people, to an online scrub who has only been to one small town tourny, the pressure is pretty intense.
holy shiz.. what a nifty idea! 24/7 live online stream for everyone to see and join! I'm surprised no one thought of this sooner. Props to the one who thought this up!
Im loving this stream, been watching it last couple of days, video & audio quality is bloody amazing and I hardly get any lag from it despite being in EU. Noteable players seen so far:
Zen - Amazing Seth
LiquidSRK - Great Dudley
Calipower - Alex Valle
Lamerboi - Sikk Guile
Grimmz - Great Ryu
ANOTHER FAKE MVC3 LIST APPEARS!http://playstationlifestyle.net/2010/09/14/potential-full-marvel-vs-capcom-3-roster-leaked/
This is whats so great about the SF community. If you play basketball, there's probably no chance you'll ever get to go one on one with Kobe, or if you sing or play a musical instrument, chances are you'll never play with your favorite band, but with this, you can dive right in and challenge some of the best players this genre has ever seen...
Good stuff.
Unfortunately most of the top players play 360 online. Can't really say I blame them either. PSN is horrible.
@ blood
because walking backward is styling on someone.
@15
dear fanboy,
if you knew anything about consoles and didn't just repeat what you here on xbox forums then you would know that the there is barely a between xbl and psn. especially not as much as you and your 360 buddies hype it up to be =| in fact.. i've played on 360 and i didn't notice any difference at all...
i know you feel that it is necessary to justify to yourself that you are not paying 50 extra dollars per year to Microsoft and that the $100 wi-fi thingy you had to buy was worth it but... i'm sorry sir... it was not.. please refrain from annoying anyone else with your fanboy garbage... toodles
Dear #21. I own a PS3...
You're an idiot. That is all.
#18 The 1 frame difference is garbage. I don't buy into that at all, but as far as matchmaking goes, the 360 is much better.
Typically I'll search (I'm on PS3), and the majority of the people I find will be 0 bars (grey) or red, 1 or 2 will be yellow and 1 or none will be green.
And again, like I said before, most of the top players play on 360. Itd be cool to have a PS3 room, but I doubt it'd be as successful as Peaceful Jay's.
I had once thought of doing something similar on the PS3 but like some have said it probably wouldn't be as popular. The other problem is I really don't know how I would be able to keep the room full because once everyone leaves no one would join a game with the host being afk.
alex just simply tried to cheese zone Juicebox...ohhh you Ryu!
here are some videos i recorded while i was on peaceful jay's stream vs. #3 ranked adon (ramen addict) and vangief :

the host never plays and anyone who has douche attitude or bad connection gets booted from him by the host
About Lamerboi vs Marn
Can dudley's thunderbolt punish guiles sonic booms? I've seen many Marn vids where he use dudley but I've never seen he pull off this special in a match. I think thunderbolt is very underrated. Maybe if capcom buffed up the speed it would be used more against projectiles.
Yep.. Another outstanding defensive performance from Guile! Nothing wrong with the player and all, its just that Guile is harder to get in on than a Catholic nun.
@Hayate1984 Probably not since his godlike recovery wouldn't allow it as seen when he attempted to punish it with U2 even though it was a bit late on his part.
Woot live streams of bad matches on Xbox Live. Who needs this stream when you can just go the reply channel and watch them there haha.
@38 you're a random Idiot.
I love what PeacefulJay is doing. I've been following the stream and it is fun and awesome to see well known players get online and play "scrubs" that want to get in on a match. I mean even the stream is bringing in the number of veiwers that mostestablished well known Streetfighter streams aren't getting. Props to PJay for doing this.

The matchmaking code is literally identical. You just happen to live somewhere where you can't find a lot of PS3 opponents with good internet connections within shooting distance. Unfortunate, but has nothing to do with consoles or networks.
As for "most of the top players," this is also a fallacy. A lot of top players were given free Xbox360s and peripherals to try to attract interest to playing on it. If you've wondered why you see top Japanese players on Xbox Live sometimes when the Xbox community in Japan is extremely small, that's your answer. But even in the USA, where the Xbox360 is more popular, more copies of SSFIV for PS3 have been sold.
The bottom line is that both communities could benefit from this streamed Endless Battle idea.
For a scrub like me this will be good: take a few ass kickings from the best and try and get better by seeing how it is done first hand...I'm in! Be looking out for young nic2185
Be looking out for young nic2185 to catch some ass whoopings at the hands of these pros...maybe I can finally get some tournament level skills from playing with them
What an impressive Guile....such a powerful wall to overcome in SSF4. I really like this version, even though I main Zangief. =P I love putting in the hard work to overcome him, I'll never ask for a nerf like so many others.
Stream looks awesome, though I'm on PS3.
I'm gonna see if I can do some damage with Cody, he's the only character I can play with my way besides Bison...I can play with Ryu but it seems he's so played out I feel like I'm just copying Daigo because I learned most of what I know about SFIV Ryu from his matches
@ #40 - All of my friends own 360s and they don't have any issues getting games. They live in the same neigborhood. I'm in West Los Angeles. I highly doubt we have connection issues there.
As far as the community aspect, I don't know. I just don't think a PS3 iteration would have the same impact as 360. People come to see the dream matches. Valle/Lamerboi, Marn/Lamerboi etc. etc.
While it'd be great for unknowns to have a place to get together and fight on stream, I can't see it having 700 viewers on a Tuesday night, 11pm like the 360 version did just yesterday.
I actually went one step further and told people I'd host it myself and they told me they didn't think anyone would come. I would do it myself if people would actually use it. Pros and scrubs included.
Not sure, but I think they're doing OK keeping it up so far. I love this idea. Very, very cool.
