Video explaining Tiger Knee motions for 'instant' moves

Vesper Arcade posted another video tutorial explaining how to use Tiger Knee motions to perform instant air moves with some of the cast members of Super Street Fighter 4.

You may have heard the terminology "Tiger Knee Motion" or "Instant" air moves thrown around before, but if it's something you don't understand or struggled to execute, this is a terrific walkthrough.

The clip also goes on to explain Kara throws.

is true, cammy is not loger able to do it, but i think its fair, that move is too good and cammy was overpowered

Great Demonstration bro. Ur a beast lol. stay away from me lol!!! Does anyone know how to do a Juri Kara Throw? And I assume it would be easier to do this on the arcade joystick than it would be to do it on a controller? Thanks for the info. Peace

LOL what happened anyway she wasnt overpowered it was to good of a way to get 30% of health off of anyway in the game to strong and giving the fact that this game is easy to link she was really good this would help Abel and Sim get her off of them now

it probably has nothing to do with her being op. but it was very strong, and they probably werent happy that cammy whole game plan based on that one option. yun yang rufus, dive kicks were meant to be instant, cammy's wasnt. but then u would argue you'd have to remove all instant air specials. akuma viper ibuki. and that they'd have to buff her else where

As someone who can't watch just every video offered due to bandwidth limitations, I'll just tell you instead of being snarky: back in the old days, Sagat's Tiger Knee was executed using the input we associate today with Fei Long's chicken wing, and the input necessary to get an instant Cannon Strike is somewhat similar.

Yeah, the video says you can kara throw with her command grab around the 13:40 mark. Go from a Forward L-Kick into it.

Someone doesn't know their match ups to call her op. shes far from it. Most her stuff is unsafe and has always been. But if you hit confirm or make the right guesses shes good. She could TKCS in SFIV and she was low tier. I see no reason to remove her TKCS. That really gimps her meter build and a lot of her combos from a knock down.

Calling her op once she got in is like calling anyone who gets close and failing to block or guessing wrong on wake-up correctly is op. I guess Makoto must be top tier and op in your eyes if this is what you believe.

I had no idea you could kara into anything besides a throw. Makes sense now that I think about it though.

Since the author did not, at the time, know them all himself, does anyone have a list of SSFIV's current techniques that kara-canceling applies to?

i think she is OP cause the she is able to link constantly using that shortcut, as the guy explained in the video if you use that move over and over against a noob, probably you will win 90% of the matches. that makes cammy a regular main for noobs.

dont get me wrong, i love cammy and im a noob too, but that move was too good.

there are some things that i hate in SSF, the constant crossups and the spamers, for that reason i will never play akuma or cammy.

but is only my opinion, im have not big skills

I can see where you are coming from but to me she is not and never has been OP. She does cross up and dive alot but you gotta realize she doesn't have an overhead attack despite being a rushdown character. I mean even Rufus and Feilong have it why not Cammy.
Also, her uppercut FADC Ultra doesn't even connect fully and her Ultra 2 is relatively useless even compared to Feilong's counter Ultra 2 (because Cammy already has more reliable tools to get out of crossup/anti-air situations than Feilong). She was low tier in Vanilla SF4 and giving her a second ultra didn't even help her matchups, unlike say Bison or Abel.
So you can see she already has a lot going against her plus the below average "girl" health bar. I dont know exactly why she's ranked as arguably the best "motion-input" character on the japanese tiers, but its subject to change and there are probably a ton of great rushdown lovers who are good with Cammy in Japan.
She instant cannon strikes to build meter in order to back up her very unsafe special moves. I hope they dont take it out, and I'm not even a cammy player. =)

Nah i was talking about for her axe kick i can already get the kara-karakusa. The thing i cant get is a consistent height on my axe kicks

I'll be grumpy if Cammy's instant cannon strike is taken out. That's like the main thing about her that makes her fun to use. ..and it is not overpowered. This game shouldn't be ruined for everyone who really likes it and has been playing it forever just because the noobs don't know how to deal with the instant cannon strikes.

probably you are right, i agree that she has a lot of weak points, but in the right hands is deadly, specially in a japanese player, but the thing is.....the people form capcom have decided to take it off, and im sure that they have a good reason,
