Update: A few more notes about Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from PAX West were added to this story.• Seth Killian said that there's a character on the Marvel side for MvC3 that is one of the craziest things ever put into a Capcom fighting game. He added that this character would be broken except the designers figured out a clever way of implementing things. This was submitted by Darts.
• Seth pointed out that fans should take the MvC3 silhouettes with a grain of salt because some of the characters may not be in the game anymore. The most notable silhouettes to date have presumably been for Frank West and C. Viper, although a lot of people have also claimed to have spotted Spider-man.
• Killian confirmed that Mega Man X would NOT be in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This doesn't rule out another version of Mega Man being in the game, though.
• One of the best SSF4 Akuma players on the planet, Tokido, shows you how to get into and stay in the Vortex in real matches against top competition. Video by 0ShinAkuma0.
• Shadowloo.com posted a nice set of clips demonstrating how to avoid chip damage against Blanka's Ultra 2 in SSF4 — for almost the entire cast.
• Vesper Arcade uploaded another SSF4 tutorial. This one focuses on input methods for charge characters and some other tricks of the trade.
• MoD1ns1d3 created a SSF4 Guile combo video involving his shades (glasses) move, not practical by any means, but entertaining.
• ComputerandVideoGames has a solid introduction to the current Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster. If you're unfamiliar with some of the announced cast members, there's a little bit about each fighter, except for Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu.

That's the Mega-Buster, classic Mega Man's weapon. X's is called the X-Buster.
Regarding shades combos, I still think certain normals should be cancelable into shades, which should then be cancelable into ultra. We'd call that a Caruso Combo.

I guess will have to wait and see which Mega Man makes it in. I know Mega Man in general is not confirmed no to be in the game at all. It seems like they are taking characters from TvC and adding them to MvC3 and it wouldn't surprise me if it's Volnutt. Isn't that Mega Man level based off of Volnutt? Still though the leaked list sounds like someone saw the actual characters, but the decisions were not final could of been a rough or this guy is a good guesser because MOST of the guesses are accurate.

On a side note, I believe that Viper is the one out, since she only appeared in that one picture, and Frank has probably not being announced yet because he is Spidey's rival and they want to release them as such. This......makes me somewhat happy, since it gives CapCom a chance to come back to the game.

Being honest, X just have projectiles, be it ice, fire, drills, huricanes, they are still all projectiles. Of course, some will say he has a saber, but that should be left with Zero, since he actually uses it as its main weapon, where as X would use it as much as Zero uses his buster. So, it's either Volnutt or Classic, I would say they'll go with Volnutt, but if he is in, they better do a lot of tweaks on him, like they did with V. Joe, to make him a better character, maybe give him landmines and improve his weapon switching.

Huh. And here I was half-expecting X to be in the game, with all the fan demand for him. Oh well. Personally I'd prefer Volnutt over Classic or X, but we'll just have to wait and see.
As for the sihlouettes thing, I think he's probably referring to the C. Viper thing more than anything else, considering that's the more recent news concerning the silhouettes before this. I still think Frank West and Spider-Man will be in the game, considering they're kinda staples.

The Blanka dodging video is missing Hakan's, which is basically to use his Super move with the Hard Kick button. You'll probably miss him with the actual attack, but at least you can dodge the Ultra.

I don't think it's meant to be a "crazy" character as in being ridiculous and all, but more of a character who would fight differently ("broken") instead. Example: Phoenix Wright shooting out speech bubbles to attack opponent (too bad he isn't in the game though).

I understand that he isn't a simple Copy and Paste, but it seems that they are just sticking it safe by recycling who they can for the sake of development. It's great that Morrigan has her much loved/needed Shadow Servant, but besides that, she's just like TvC (I loved her in TvC, she's a main of mine).
If they were to recycle Trigger, they had better MvC him to no end and make him more suited. Not that he isn't good in TvC, it's just that MvC3 is going to be at a MUCH faster pace and his advanced strategy of switching weapons to continue combos might not translate well into MvC3 (I almost main him, and I know what I'm talking about by experience).

Oh well I was hoping for x since volnutt sucked in tvc. I'll settle for zero though. I understand everyone has opinions but everyone complaining about the roster,graphics,controls etc have to realize this a new game and not mvc2 hd remix get over it! Besides Capcom is going to make a sh!t load of cash even if the hardcore fans don't buy it. At the end of the day the vs series appeals to everyone believe it or not. I'm also guessing silver surfer might be who Seth is referring too?! Cosmic being has to be broken IMO. Then again Thor should have been more insane since he's a god! I do hope it's Frank West AND C.viper that is not in, but for the most part Frank West, let him stay with TvC because to me adding TvC characters is starting to make it feel like it's TvC 2, but with Marvel characters lol...

Cyclops not being in it got me real upset but i will still get the game. I don't have any one from my team from mvc2 yet but like how many told me on this site, someone i like will be announced eventually. The game will be good either way. It sucks that everyone wont be satisfied with the cast

yes it sucks ass megaman x is not in it,i thought him in it was a no brainer,i just hope they put in O.G megaman protman or zero instead then.i will still buy the game regardless because it already has a bunch of characters i really like (like deadpool,okami,and superskrull hellyea!)but X,strider,cap commando,and jin not in it,does suck.

Quite a few of my favorites were already denied long ago (Phoenix Wright, Gene from God Hand, Strider, list goes on) and I really don't mind that much. Guess what? I was hoping X would make it in as well.
Do I still wish they would be in the game? Of course. Am I going to cry like a baby and throw a fit because they're not in? No, I won't. Because I understand that you can't please everyone. No matter how hard they try, they're going to disappoint people with their choices, while making others happy. It's impossible for everyone to be happy over their choices.
So, I respect their decisions, even if I don't agree with them. Also, I'm not playing the game for ONE character. Even if a few of my favorites didn't get it, I still love both Marvel and Capcom, and certainly have an assload of other favorites that did indeed make it in. As an example, I wasn't expecting Amaterasu, but she came in, and is certainly a pleasing addition for me.
I'm not expecting every character I love to make it in, and you're foolish for thinking every one of your favorites will make it in.
Grow up, really. If you don't want to buy the game because a character you wanted isn't in, then don't buy it. You haven't even seen the full list of characters yet and you're already complaining that nothing coming up will change your mind.

I can already tell by your name that you have to be what, 13? Regardless, X is the most overhyped character in the megaman series. So he is megaman original, except a whiny wuss. LETS GET HIM IN HERE NOW! Or you know, how about less known characters to you know... make variety? Nah we don't want that. The roster is much better than MvC2 so far, just based on the variety. Not having X in here is perfectly fine, I'm sure some incarnation of megaman will appear so quit your whining you little tween.
