Normally, Mika would fight better, but Capcom could greatly improve and be really creative with Poison.. Not underrating Mika who plays fun, but a lot needs to be changed with her, whereas Poison can just get add-ons..
Come on, regardless of whether Poison is a he/she; we all know she's a chick without a d1ck.. With that said, she'll be the biggest girl character in SSF4...

As far as Poison not fitting the game... Capcom has a tendency to add fighters who wouldn't necessarily fit a fighting game. Rufus and Hakan being two recent examples.
In my opinion, Poison fits their recent method of operating pretty well.

Plus with ono talking about giving more than just characters, there will be probably more rivalries, i have perfect rivalry ideas:
Ryu/Chun Li: come on, who wouldnt want to see this as a rival fight, its always ryu and ken, well the man and woman of sf should have a rival fight. Stage: Old Temple or the china stage, day or night
Ken/Guile: there both from the USA, ken thinks guile is a military freak, guile thinks ken is a spoiled rich kid, this just oozes tension
Stage: Drive In At Night or the airfield
Yang/Ryu or Yun/Ken: this would be an awesome fight between the twin dragons vs the shoto clones, plus both yang and ryu are serious, yun and ken are over cocky and cheerful
Stage: Exciting Street Scene or China stage at night
Ibuki/Makoto: do i have to explain
Stage: Overpass(under bridge) the boat stage
Dhalsim/Balrog: Balrog killed dhalsims elephant, so looks like they have a score to settle
Stage: drive in or back alley at night
Vega/Balrog: they work together, but deep down they hate each other's guts
Stage: historic distillery or secret laboratory
Dan/Blanka: close friends teach each other how to fight
Stage: jungle or overpass
Akuma/Gouken: self explanatory
Stage: deserted or old temple, or crumbling factory
Sakura/Chun Li: sakura wants to learn how chun li fights, and chun li wants to test sakura's progress
Stage: china stage, exciting street scene
Zangief/Ken: zangief wants to prove he can beat the dragon punch and challenges ken to a match to prove who the better man is
Stage: train stage, drive in, or on sin cruise ship
Cammy/M. Bison: Killer Bee wants to learn who she really is, Bison is not giving any info and now sees cammy as a failure ready to be disposed of

I honestly believe Charlie should be in too. I feel as though there are so many plots in many characters stories that fit in with him being the missing piece.
I'd understand if he wasn't in. I know most people think he's just another clone, but he's honestly not. I think storyline wise is more important than a little disagreement like that.
I would be very upset if Poison makes the cut. Same with R. Mika. People like her, but not as much as most of the characters I mentioned above. I thought Capcom listened to their fans.

Nothing "possible" about it; for the Western markets, Poison is a post-op M2F transsexual. In Japan, he's pre-op. Directly stated by Ono. In the same interview, he stated this confusion made her inclusion in the game not worth it.
Even if he's changed his mind on that latter point, I don't understand why people are taking this vague hint of her very-uncertain presence in the game to mean she would be playable in it. That's jumping to conclusions (several jumps, actually). She was in Street Fighter III, but was not playable, and I don't think anyone is feeling inspired by her appearance in Final Fight Revenge. :)

Ok, If Poison is supposed to be transsexual, she should be referred to as 'she'(whether pre-op or post).. 'He/she' is very offensive and I should know because I myself am transsexual. ..I'm not picking on anyone. I realize most of you don't know much (if anything) about what being a transsexual means.
Anywayz.. If she is in the game, that could be cool I think. She'd be a new character to me, and she has a cool look.. hopefully a cool fighting style too.

Ever since I first saw Poison's sprites in the BGs of SFZ2 and in SF3WI (double impact/giant attack), I've wanted to play "her" as an actual fighter someday. I am far more pleased with the idea of putting her into SSF4 than I care for Yun and Yang even being in the BALLPARK for consideration. Sure, they play differently now, but like with Ryu's and Ken's beginnings, it was not always the case. If I could only have six character choices, AND absolutely had to have SF3 characters breathing the same air as my beloved SFZ/SFA characters, I'd pick Hugo, Q, and Elena or Oro to compliment Nash/Charlie, Rolento, and R. Mika.
I'd rather have Nash, Birdie, Haggar, Poison, Rolento, and R.Mika for all six slots. New characters I'd like to see are Karin's butler, Haggar, Dean, Lucia, and maybe Carlos. Lin Kurosawa would be awesome to at least have in MVC3, but all I can do is dream...

Poison would be an amazing opportunity for them to add a new character while still having an established name. It fits. Like adding Hugo in 3S, new character with an established name - andre the giant.
I personally don't like Yun and Yang, but love the direction they're going with these new characters. Take expectations, modify them and still try to create something new.

can we get more background stages... we know characters are coming. lets see some character specific backgrounds like the old days. yun and yang's street scene in the rain, vega's deathmatch cage, the giant buddha in thailand, the grassy field with the lightning, or some brand new backgrounds maybe more with a few character cameos of the fighters who most of us deep down know are not going to make it as playable....

a cool idea i think for a great background complete with an opportunity for great character cameos. this could be character specific as a stage for ibuki sakura fight. outside or near a school with a bunch of school kids watching and rooting the fight on but to one side of the stage is the taiyo high team from rival schools. batsu and kyosuke can seem for the most part not too impressed while hinata cheers crazy. unless a character performs a special/super/ultra near them or gets knocked down.
i guess it would end up more like the old temple and overpass background but still the rival schools fighters being there would add some uniqueness to it

Yun and yang are terrible choices and charlie is just as bad as them not many people were asking for them over characters like alex,karin,elena or rolento. If they would have got yun and left off yang then it would be good but not both.

I only hope they put in Elena. That is all I ask for. Anyone else is just gravy, tho Poison(female)seems very intriguing. I am just wondering what kind of fighting style she would utilize. I am just really sick and tired of all the Ken/Ryu/Akuma models. They all are great characters dont get me wrong, but they are all very much the same too. Thats why characters such as Gen, Juri, or Elena are so awesome. Because their fighting styles stand out from the rest. I just would like to see more original characters with new fighting styles such as Pencak Silat,Savate,Tang Soo Do or other styles.

He's saying Elena is like Poison in that they're BOTH CHARACTERS WHO ARE NOT IN THE GAME. He deconfirmed Poison for the arcade release of this game a long time ago, she's only going to appear as a cameo if Hugo gets in. So you guys can stuff it with your Elena requests.
Don't get me wrong I love Elena but I don't want her tainted by this game's sh*ttiness so it's for the best that she doesn't get in the game.

I don't think he's hinting at Poison being playable, and I don't see her ever being playable again. Her design doesn't leave any wiggle room, she's just a skinny little street thug with no spectacular abilities that have been established. Of course, Capcom can just use their imagination and think of SOMETHING to make it work like with Juri (which worked out well in that case), but the execution would still be awkward with Poison. Keep her on the sidelines with Hugo, or appearing as some kind of assist. For example, in a future Versus game, the Mad Gear gang appearing in the same capacity as Captain Commando and the Commando Team, with Poison jumping out and swinging with a pipe or something. People are welcome to their opinions, but I find it hard to believe anyone actually likes Poison for any reason other than fanservice. The last time someone mentioned Poison to Ono, they said "EVERYBODY wants her," which is simply not true. Posts across many communities have been pouring in about wanting Alex, Birdie, Charlie, Elena, Hugo, Karin, Oro, R. Mika, Rolento, Q, Retsu, Skullomania, Urien, Yun, Yang, and several others, but almost never Poison.

Ono isn't saying Poison is anything, and it's even a solid giveaway that Elena won't be in it. If Poison won't be in it, then Hugo probably won't be. Which means the 3S characters might be Yun/Yang/Alex? If it's going to be split down the middle, the Alpha characters will probably be Rolento/Karin/R. Mika. However....R. Mika looks retarded and I'd rather have Elena over her. lol
Besides, that African stage is totally hers.

I read a few comments saying "no one asked for Poison" and i thought "it seems no one checks the Unity forums". Poision has been one of the most asked characters since before SSF IV came out. Personally i would love to see her in the game because of 3 reasons: 1)she is an interesting looking character, 2)not being a selectable character before means she will pretty much be brand new and 3)would like to see the interaction with Hugo.
Having said that why do people assume she is in? Ono clearly said "she is busy" which is something he used before for a character who did not make the first selection of SSF IV cast. So his answer could lean more towards a NO than a YES for all i can tell.
As for Yun and Yang i think there has been a lot of complaining for nothing. We should be ecstatic that Capcom is giving us so much more new stuff. it doesn't matter if we don't all like em. It was obviously more easy to include the 2 twins cause they look the same visually so it would be less work. Their moves set is completely different though so we are getting 2 fresh characters which even if they aren't used by most people they will still make for some very fun fights as opponents in the arcade mode. Most people nowadays seem to forget that some of us don't necessarily like to go online and get beaten by hardcore fans and I for one enjoy playing on the Hardest setting of the Arcade mode more

I don't get the fuss on Elena. She's said as very popular, but I didn't heard any fans of her for years, only a few last weeks, and almost never saw her in tournaments... well I don't get it.

What if Yun/Yang are only one character slot? We don't know for sure they aren't, and it seems like they want to try new things (look at Hakan and hints at Poison). They could easily play like Gen and 3 kicks or 3 punches can have the other one jump out and switch characters.
I think that could be cool and a neat surprise since they are both similar to Fei Long and Rufus together.
