MoD1ns1d3 posted a new Super Street Fighter 4 combo video for Guile. This starts off with some of his bread and butter combos, but works its way into some very tricky and impressive stuff.

Wow that was crazy

Amazing Guile vid, but I expect nothing less of MoD1ns1d3. His guile vids are always pretty jaw dropping.

Very impressive.

Also, T. Hawk is just stupidly large.

@ubervillain

Yes sir, on FREAKIN PAD !!!! The best Guile out there IMO.

Posted by Rose on September 1, 2010 at 3:08 p.m. #10

I'm so impressed, I'm restyling my hair into a flattop and putting on some shades! The high heels, however, will remain.

Agog,
Rose

@ #9 *f!ckingfacepalm*

I actually thought that Gilley's was more impressive. And it really had a lot of the exact same stuff in it, I guess aside from the FADC Ultras but those are pretty BnB.

Posted by n00b_saib0t on September 1, 2010 at 3:24 p.m. #12

yet another guile combo video with a couple minutes of the same stuff everyone else is putting in their guile combo vid. not that the execution isnt impressive, but *yawn* i'm tired of seeing the same guile combos.

Posted by Wardog on September 1, 2010 at 3:24 p.m. #13

At the end, that dude went bananas! great job. also is he doing this off a ps3 or xbox controllers or arcade stick?

Posted by PsychoCrusha on September 1, 2010 at 3:39 p.m. #14

@Wardog - He uses an xbox 360 controller.

@n00b_saib0t - Show some respect. This guy has been maining Guile since the SF2 days, and paved the way for "some of the same stuff that everyone else is puts in their guile combo vid". Not to mention that he pulls off combos like these in actually matches pretty often. and with a 360 controller, no square gates to assist him.
The nerve of these people sometimes...goodness.

Posted by Wardog on September 1, 2010 at 3:56 p.m. #15

@PsychoCrusha. Thanks for the info. this is crazy!! i can't hardly do a FADC on a ps3 controller without my character still doing his charge attack. this dude is a beast.

Posted by samuraix025 on September 1, 2010 at 4:54 p.m. #16

maybe because I gon't main a projectile user I may be mistaken but to be able to combo a sonic boom into a sonic boom seem a bit broken lol. I use Guy and I can be in guile's face honzato through his sonic boom and he can react before the attack animation of the sonic boom is done. he may only have 2 attacks but that don't mean much when he can eat your face with them

Posted by his1nightmare on September 1, 2010 at 5:18 p.m. #17

Remy is still 350 times cooler.

Posted by kingofthesharks on September 1, 2010 at 5:49 p.m. #18

guile's theme never gets old

Posted by Raven on September 1, 2010 at 6:02 p.m. #19

@samuraix: Doing combos like this isn't broken because it takes tremendous work and skill to pull it off in a live match. Broken is beating people without even really having to try, or you're very hard to punish due to safe specials.

Besides, most people like to call something cheap or broken when their inability to adapt to it starts to shut them down mentally.

I could listen to that theme forever. Awesome video.

Posted by tidestick on September 1, 2010 at 7:44 p.m. #21

lets see him do it in a match not practice

Its a shame Mod didnt compete at EVO. i wonder how far he would have gotten...

there ya go

Posted by Amnesiac on September 1, 2010 at 8:16 p.m. #24

I don't get how FADC into Sonic Hurricane is possible... Doesn't the forward dash cancel out the charge?
What am I missing here?

Posted by shaolindk on September 1, 2010 at 8:25 p.m. #25

Those were sick combos;-)

Posted by JIHADJOE on September 1, 2010 at 8:35 p.m. #26

@Amnesiac

You combine the dash cancel into the Ultra. It's the same with any character who has a back or down/back charge ultra.

this guy is a true family man

Posted by geodude on September 1, 2010 at 9:41 p.m. #28

that guy must have epic wack-off sessions. c'mon, i'm just saying what you were thinking.

Posted by IrPanda on September 1, 2010 at 9:56 p.m. #29

Guile has some of the easier link combos to do.
Some maybe 1 frame but the timing is pretty easy once u get into it imo.
But still nice combos.

Posted by anddudewaslike on September 1, 2010 at 10:54 p.m. #30

I hate Guile.

Posted by n00b_saib0t on September 2, 2010 at midnight #31

@PsychoCrusha

respect? because the guy mains guile? i dont "respect" daigo, jwong, valle, choi, or anyone based on them being good at a ****ing video game, kid. i dont respect michael jordan just because he is good at basketball (also just a ****ing game). i dont know the guy, he doesnt have my respect, its that simple. he does, however, get common courtesy from me. i cant respect someone i dont know, but i never insulted him or put down his combos at all. quite the contrary, i specifically mentioned the skill required in the execution of said combos (i dont give a **** that he's playing on a pad though, thats just a preference of his and isnt a handicap for him). i just dont think another guile combo video with the same stuff thats in every guile combo video is news. what ever happened to combo videos needing to show something new to be good?

Posted by topdawg122 on September 2, 2010 at 1:32 a.m. #32

Noob_saibot "i don't respect Michael Jordan"

Lol

Posted by SmoothJK on September 2, 2010 at 7:31 a.m. #33

#32 it's OK, your opinion, and it's valid. Probably no one respects you either, so I guess you just live in a respect-less world, which is fine.

I, for one, was very disappointed to hear MoD's visa didn't get approved. It would've been awesome to see him at EVO.

Posted by n00b_saib0t on September 2, 2010 at 11:36 a.m. #34

@ SmoothJK

i didnt say i dont respect anyone, i said i dont respect people i havent met. i dont disrespect them either, i'm neutral on their existence. i gave props for the skill required, and thats all anyone gets out of me that i dont know personally.

Posted by br79 on September 2, 2010 at 1:32 p.m. #35

@ n00b_saib0t.... I hate to troll you, but you need it.

Props = Proper Respect

Popularized in the 1980s by rappers who shortened the term "propers" which was in turn being used as an abbreviated version of "proper respect" at least by the 1960s. The increase in this term's usage during the late 1980s and early 1990s coincided with an increasing fascination with the mafia within rap circles. Both communities have traditionally placed great emphasis on the importance of earning and giving respect.

Posted by Enter4none on September 2, 2010 at 2:19 p.m. #36

@n00b_saib0t: I'm with you dude, giving respect just out of a great gameplay video? that waters down the meaning of such term... I'm impressed and like what I'm seeing in the vid, but respect? really? seems respect has lowered it's standards lately.

@br79: yeah thats very nice, but it keeps the ball (t)rolling around here, and soon this boards will get invaded by "frist, 2nded,..., ninth, etc", which only makes baby *insert your deity of choice here* cry.

Posted by n00b_saib0t on September 2, 2010 at 3:21 p.m. #37

@ br79

i guess i learned something new today, lol. and what you did isnt necessarily trolling. trolling is done to get a response and often involves saying things you dont actually believe just go get said reaction. what you did is called "correcting".

@enter4noone

i'm glad someone gets what i'm saying. respect is earned by your actions toward the person you want resect from. after "respecting" chris benoit, i'll never do it again. if you guys dont know who he is, look him up.

Posted by throughsilence on September 2, 2010 at 5:37 p.m. #38

@tidestick, Mod has done many of these combos out of training mode....watch his videos.

Posted by br79 on September 2, 2010 at 9:53 p.m. #39

:) correcting is better then trolling, i figured you for a 15 year old punk who wouldn't take the truth well.. good job on proving me wrong. Mod is a dope Guile, I've never met the guy, but i can 'respect' his skill. Lil kids trying to act buck on the interwebs is just bulljive, and i gotta call it as i see it.

Posted by PsychoCrusha on September 3, 2010 at 7:21 p.m. #40

Ok this is my second and last response because I dont have time for minor arguments. First off, dont call me kid, because I could be older than you and you don't even know it. Second off, I mentioned that he mained Guile since the SF2 days to show that he wasn't some bandwagon Guile player, and was actually one of the first people to do some of these combos. Third and finally, I only mentioned that he uses the controller to show the level of execution that he must have had to pull off these combos, because most 99% of these other players who do Guile combo vids use a stick.

P.S. You dont have to know someone to respect what they do.
