Here's a roundup of some of the interesting things happening in the community.

• Daigo Umehara (Ryu) and Tokido (Akuma) will be attending the SoCal Regionals, which will be running a $10,000 Super Street Fighter 4 tournament. They will be joined by international competitors Sako (Cammy) and GamerBee (Adon), along with a ton of top players from the U.S. tournament scene. This competition will run from Nov. 5 - 7 and a live stream will be hosted by the Level|Up crew.

• On Capcom-Unity they announced that the next Fight Club will be held at 585 Wells St. SW, in Atlanta, Georgia. There will be a live stream on October 28th (Thursday), and things will run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST.

• SpeedBrkr mentioned that the EVO lagless monitors are on sale for $158.99, after rebate on Amazon.com.

• DevilAzite posted another tool-assisted Street Fighter 3 Third Strike match between Sean and Akuma.

Also, again on Capcom-Unity Ryota Niitsuma said Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be at Jump Festa, which is an expo held in Japan on December 18 - 19, and there will be new information about the game there.

• The Ryu player Air has started a blog series detailing a few of Ryu's SSF4 match ups.

• There's a Akuma Xbox 360 case mod with screen shots and descriptions of what was done to it.

• Part 4 of 6 of the The Dr. Sub-Zero Show is available, which discusses the Third Strike scene and goes over the origins of Pyrolee's name.

It will be hilarious if GamerBee rapes Sako along with the other competitors there. Only saying this because I can't stand how people put their faith in players who beat daigo.

Anyway I wanna see a Hype tournament and hopefully the U.S player will take it if not my money is on GamerBee. Sorry I meant "GamerBeast" :]

Well said, Redether, this Sako dick riding phenomenon is nauseating! I mean let the guy at least win a couple of tournaments or something important before people start proclaiming he's the next Daigo Umehara, for Christ sake! Bandwagonners!

socal will be a blast. Maybe it turns out to be even better then Seasons Beating 5 which was after Evo2009 the second best tournament(stream) ever!

Daigo won't finish in the top 3. That's because he is so incredibly smart and he thinks about the future. I guess he won't win tournaments until the SSFIV arcade release. It's his way to stop the Ryu nerfing by Capcom.

But that's just my opinion.

I doubt Daigo is losing on purpose. He is human after all. I hope Daigo wins this thing, not that I am an uber fan boy I'd be happy if anyone took it as long as it was entertaining. Daigo is just the reason I started watch Street Fighter videos, his games are always hype.

People have to give him credit, you know his character inside out since he's the most popular, you know all of his tricks, his tactics, his reaction capability and yet he still grinds it through. I love that.

Wish Uryo was going, his viper is too beast.

When clicking on the link you see that it's a wide screen. As far as I know, SSFIV doesn't support wide screen resolution. I know this because I own a 24" 1080p (1920x1200) screen, and both sides are a little cut off because the screen is too wide.
Am I missing something here? It would seem weird if they sold monitors where you wouldn't be able to see the whole screen... like me.

Want to see a rematch of Daigo and Marn's dudley. Not saying Daigo should get his vengeance, but I want to see if Marn could defeat him again. As for Sako, he doesn't usually travel outside of Japan so it'll be interesting to see him playing against GamerBee, Justin Wong, and Mike Ross. Rooting for Tokido to win first place. Seriously, he needs a break.
