Damn too many cool characters already deconfirmed, i know ghost rider was like deconfirmed form like the start, but why? i mean he is so cool also daredevil,and gambit, damn i will miss him, for megaman x i would be too happy if he was in, but im a fan of megaman so im happy with every version of him, also too bad vergil didn't make it. No Gene, no Phoenix, no Monster Hunter, Silver Surfer or Dr. Strange is really too bad. ESPECIALLY Gene. He is PERFECT for this game on so many levels.

And Cyclops is not a big deal, I like him, but he was not in MvC1 and I've never really had much fun playing him myself. In addition, His play style isn't very unique, especially now that Ryu has an aim-able hyper fireball.

I have a feeling we are going to see classic Mega Man(buffed up and modernized w/ stuff from MM9 & 10) next, possibly along with Zero(MMX4, like in TvC).

Cyclops has decreased immensely in popularity since MvC2... and really what role would he serve? All he can do is shoot his gay little eye beams and is decent at hand to hand. Waste of space!

That said, it surprises me they didn't add Loki. Not only do they need Thor publicity atm, but he would make for a great fighting game character... so many different ways you could interpret him into a game.

Just give me Falcon from Powerstone and Valgas, the boss from Powerstone including Mega Man Volnutt and Pyslocke(or a female Marvel character with her playstyle) then I will be all set.

I'm eternally pissed that Megaman X or battle network isnt in. If they put Classic megaman it would be like a slap in the face; he'd be the the only kiddie character in the game (so far) :-(

I'm kinda over it that phoenix wright isn't it in the game now that he is revealed to be in another crossover game with Professor Layton. But people who think he couldn't be in the game because he isn't a "fighter" are just not thinking outside the box. The makers said its all about mixing conventional with unconventional and Phoenix has a lot of fans (myself included) that would do anything to play as him again, especially since the Ace attorney series moved onto other protagonists.
He would seriously be the Deadpool of the Capcom side, shouting Objection, Hold It, and Take That as his Hypers to varying effect. He could use the Magatama and psyche-locks as a special attack or assist. Various major pieces of evidence or weapons throughout the game could be put to use or he could just do fisticuff melee attacks for all I care. He would look ridiculous and it would be awesome. Victory poses would include passing judgment on the opponent (guilty or not guilty).
Also Cyclops should be in the game, I dont care if they change his playstyle to not be a shoto guy, he's the man shaking hands with Ryu on the front of Xmen Vs. Street Fighter and it would be sad to not see the man return.

At least with this we know whose in it and who is not. I feel bad that Gambit didn't make the cut. He'd be awesome to fight with especially if he has a Lv3 Hyper where it would dish out serious damage. I also feel bad that X didn't make the cut either though I wish that either the original Mega Man or Megaman Trigger (Legends) join the fight.

It's funny how people always talk about small cast = competitive game and that is not true at all.

Players always find a way to make the game broken and after see the early builds of MvC3the game is far not be balanced at all. We have a lot of characters that are wasted slots like Hulk, Thor and Felicia.

As other member said if they want to add a character and make it powerful they can do it but they are lazy... just look at Amaterasu and all the modes and moves the character have and the same case with Dante.

I have never played God Hand. But the way others speak about him makes me want in in the game; at launch.

Which brings me to my next point. These characters have been de-confirmed for launch. But, what about future DLC?

I really want Megaman X to make the cut and Gambit as well. If X made the cut, then I would choose him as one of my teams.

I still have hope for Vanessa from P.N.03 and Garcian Smith from Killer 7.

Since when another character taking an original characters theme mean that the other character won't make the cut in the game? There were multiple different themes in Mega Man Legend.

I don't get why they never consider putting any Breath of Fire characters in; or making a BoF6, for that matter. It seem like there would be plenty of options in there for fighting game characters, and maybe even some more interesting play styles.

I hope X get's chosen too. When X was originally "deconfirmed" by Seth, he said it was due to time constraints. Then there was a later announcement mentioning that they are looking to add some last minute characters which lead me to believe that X may still have a real possibility.

Also, the Darkstalkers de-confirm means no B.B.Hood. What a bummer.

Why do people want Megaman X? He has NO actual fighting style, he just shoots things. We already have projectile-based characters in the game, so X would just be a duplicate/fan service.

X strength can come from a variety of things. I see his advantange not really in projectiles, but a creative developer can add his increased agility and the use of various armors from the different series which were not all projectile based.

Plus in X6, he did use Zero's sword which would definitely add a new element to his potential gameplay. Not to mention they can add his ability to acquire other characters strenghths, probably similar to Rogue, if Capcom is creative enough to think like this.

I'd actually be very wtf is they didn't add one black character, even if it Crusader in human form, Crusader is a Skrull with a Piece of the Cosmic Cube so he can be the Seth of the game with alot of his normals and specials coming from other people THAT ARE IN THE GAME and have like 40 special moves(*takes a shot at Dante*) and him having one or two attacks to himself. (oh yeah if they do this I'm hoping they the have a Spiral like Super where she turns into everyone)

sean never learned the hadouken only just his super (hado-burst). all he has is a dragon smash, double hand shoryuken to the smackdown, and his tornado kick. plus the other supers he has are the shoryucannon, and the ryubi kyaku and that could be his lvl 3 hyper combo. and dont forget that he was a cameo ryu's ending in MvC1 and when the battle is starting when u use ryu or facing against him. plus he can shoot freaking basketballs. PUT HIM IN!!!!!!!!!
