Q: More than Yun and Yang, I'd like to learn about the existing characters' changes. Although, I can understand not being able to release information due to being a corporation and having to meet schedules and such. Still, I believe there are a lot of people to whom Yun and Yang mean nothing, so please do something...

Q: Yun's Genei Jin and Yang's Seiei Enbu (Custom Combo Supers) should have subtly different abilities, such as each of them enabling unique combos. Additionally, Juri's Ultra 1, Feng Shui Engine, should have clear differences from them, that would make me happy.
A: Genei Jin, Seiei Enbu, Feng Shui Engine are each different abilities. When SSF4 AE is released, please explore them by all means.
Q: Alternate Costume Classic Pack in March... Isn't that way too late? No matter how you put it, that's half a year. Please put it out in December!

Usually the answers you seek are in the questions they actually acknowledge, rather than the answers they give themselves. I'd bet dollars to donuts we're going to be hearing about one or two of the new characters soon, that's why they picked that question to give a cutesy vague answer to.
Hey, bring Charlie back already, we know his a$$ ain't dead, nobody in Street Fighter is dead. Hell, if that were the case Dan would have died BEFORE his debut in Street Fighter (so critical of my own favorite character). Oh yeah, bring Joe, Geki, Retsu, Birdie and Eagle back. It's great that they may consider releasing Alts sonner than later. March is way to long of a wait for an alt for my favorite characters (Gen and Fei) A little too spread out IMO.

THe way the game looks right now we should see nothing but buffs in the character notes. And any nerfs should come in small tweaks, ie saving off frames here and there. Things at the loc test like seth not having yogi sniper i highly doubt will make it in.

Alot of makotos problems come from game super defensive game mechanics. They said this was supposed to be more agressive then sf4 and that cant be further from the truth.
Still waiting for them to reveal Alex. He's got to make it in this time around.
to fix makoto
1. have her fukiage's hitbox improved, or just have her arm raised infront of her instead of behind her on fukiage. so that way it can hit opponents on the front.
2. ex hayate be armor break(done)
3. extend the range on her normals, especially c.lk.
4. improve the hitbox on her j.mk so it can cross up better.
5. increased walk speed won't hurt.
6. make her hayates safe on blk

@15 Alpha would be Dan, Rose, Cody, and Guy by your logic.
Also, since the playable cast in Street Fighter consisted of only Ryu (and Ken), Alpha would be Adon and Gen's first game as playable characters. I think that's what Capcom was going for when they put them in the Alpha channel.

Did somebody really not know that Genei Jin, Seiei Enbu and Feng Shui Engine were very different from each other? That just seems absurd and ignorant.
Bison needs less recovery frames, Guile's flash kick should be safe on block, Chun-li's Fireball doesn't need to be a charge. Ryu's hadouken's need to be more like sonic booms in terms of Recovery, and Ken's Shoryuken needs to have no recovery on land. As for Gen, They should take away some of his damage, it's way too high he is like a hundred years old. Dan god his taunt stops everyones ultras and supers and like all the moves in the game, and his Koryuken is invincible and is way too strong nerf that. Mankoto, well obviously she can dash all over the screen and doing that double punch over and over again makes her a god. And don't get me started on Hakan, when he oils up, my jumping Hk flow charting takes way, way too long to kill him he has like 6000 hits, and his move where he runs in place and then does some type of grab dive is way too cheap and impossible to avoid, he should be nerfed to hell so he will be a fair character, like Balrog. o-o Read dis Ono and make it happen! lol

You do realize that no matter who they add, people will whine, right? People most likely just want to see the characters that they play as included in SSFIV.
I play as Elena in 3rd Strike, and I'd like to see Elena in SSFIV. She's a very unique character whose traits don't lump her into the category of characters that are ridiculous or out of place. As a character that only uses her legs for attacking and throwing, she can be very tricky opponent to fight, and would be an interesting contrast to characters who box as a profession, such as Balrog and Dudley.
(Quicker costumes would be pimp, but does that mean quicker characters? I think the last release date has to do with new chars...)
yes PLEASE change the release dates for all the alternate costumes, March is stupid, December (before Christmas) seems more reasonable

reducing dmg doesnt do anything but slow down the gameplay. 1)no more invin frames on backdashs(it still gets u out of throws but not out of meaties) also wake up focus dash doesnt have armor(only on wake up, it works the same when standing) 2) no more croch teching 3)close the reversal window back to turbo standard 4) shrink the stages to turbo/alpha size. There u go, all the offense u want. Only other thing u could add besides that is GUARD METER.

I can honestly see them screwing up rolento is the process of "sf4ing" him. Theres characters that just didnt make the jump and remain intact, ie deejay.

I'd like to see Gill Please, like a 3rd strike version of him without all the bull like unblockable super arts, or ressurection etc, just a character thats balanced like akuma or seth :)
Unlike the release of SSF4, they haven't said "now we've announced all new characters" like they did when they announced Hakan. So it seems pretty likely there will be more characters. Given that they're leaving it so late to announce any new characters, and given that the official art (the poster which has Yun and Yang with all the other characters) is also being released without concern for being incomplete, I think it's likely that whatever character(s) they haven't announced will not be a member of the main cast: a secret character (or characters) who must be unlocked and probably won't be announced at all, leaving it to the players to discover them.

Juri buffs is all i need, make her ex pinwheel have throw invincibility, then she'll finally have a wakeup option :D. and faster walking speed, but keep the sexy walk animation ;). jus make it more faster. and i guess anything else added would be a plus, like being able to U2 off a cl.fierce, or any of her ex fireballs for example.

u know, not everyone supposed to have a ryu wake up game right? he has optioins on wakeup u just need to lrn to use them, and dont forget that theres always an option to BLOCK

Removing her dive kick(hers is no where as bad as rufus's) just makes her not worth useing. Without it she doesnt have that big pressure tool makeing her offense laughable.
Rolento, Karin, Charlie, R.Mika are the best picks at this point.
Just give Sagat his Standing Lk back and i'm cool.. Buff the characters that need it ( I don't care who cause I'll figure them out anyways) And keep it moving.. If anything they NEED to work on there ONLINE NETWORK!!!!!!! This is the #1 Fighting Game on Earth and there Network SUCKS!!!!!! Lag is Fundamental and, Should be handled 1st... Above anything!!!! They Have no Excuse to why they can't improve Lag with there "Unlimited resources"and Capitol ....

i dont play sagat much but i kind of like his standing lk hiting twice, u can still cancel it but by itself it pops focus's so it always nice to throw it out. If anything i think sagat needs more health. For a character his size/speed he shouldnt have as much health as ryu.
But yea the network could use a look. I hate when i search my area and get people from three time zones away. ANd then theres alot of times where they will join a room with full green bars for the match to start and ill be underwater and back in the lobby the guy is no bars.

Characters that'd be nice to have: Alex, Q, Rolento (Rolento barely missing needed)
Buffs we NEED: I really would prefer vanilla Sagat over this freakin turtle fest thats going on. Increase Sagat's stun/HP, give him his LK back, and that's all. Make Gen's Stance-Switching normal move cancelable, so that way you don't have to sit in crane stance for an anti-air attack. Also, His wall dives are still slow as S***. you cant even punish a Hadouken with ex straight dive. AE Hakan buff are all that was needed, Same with Guy. (120 dmg is a little low though...) Makoto needs more priority on Karukasa+AE buffs. NO CROUCH TECHING.

As a matter of fact, they should make it Towards grab to tech a grab. Turtles are too good in SSF4. Also, Rufus is literally the only character that can apply REAL "pressure". This is not okay.
ANY reversal works against dive kicks. ANY armor move also works. If someone is spamming dive kicks, Any focus besides Gief or Viper will work. If you panic, you will die. >_>

No crouch teching, But something i really think we need to bring back are holds. I dont understand why they droped them out of the game in the first place. It made the throw game alittle more interesting since u could do something like kens back throw and throw them in the corner for positioning or u could get in close and hit them with the knee bash and depending on the range go for something else after(in turbo after the knee bash u could follow up with a jump in right away). U could have it so that the hold is a techable knock down and maybe even have the whiff animation last alittle longer(i mean alittle, not as long as a whiffed command slam). That why chooseing between regular throw and hold requires alot more thought.
Balrog,ken,honda,blanka,sakura,zangief,dhalsim(this might give him a reason to attack), t hawk,sagat(he has one in alpha) and guy need to have there holds brought back to sf4.
I think Eagle is more likely because he is more realistic, offset's dudley and Vega and is a little more SF4 basic.
I wish everyone would stop complaining about turtling. Defense is just as important as offense and I think fans forgets that. Two speeding trains will collide, but it takes a lot of skill to make a game that forces players to play both sides of the coin.
I also would like R.Mika and more grapplers as well as Elena and Oro, but really REALLY just want a new character or two. I LOVE Hakan and Juri. I love fresh characters.

I hope yun is better than he looks, cause in the "Yun and Yang Reveal Trailer", Yang looked WAY MORE BADASS than yun. @54 reducing damage and adding meter wouldn't slow the game down, more ex and super moves would do the opposite. Invincibility on dash can be handled with option selects. I agree with the minimized reversal window with the condition that characters with weak defensive options have at least one solid reversal with throw invincibility. Crouch teching should be gone.

Dude dmg scaling is already ridiculous. Anything over 4 hits isnt even worth doin and adding more ex meter to it wouldnt matter since longer combos are pointless. And if u want to have ex build faster u need to change it so u are no longer awarded ex when u take dmg(this should have been in to begin with). its silly that u lose and not only get an ultra move that can take 40% dmg but i give u the ex to fadc into it.
not every character has option selects to catch backdashs like ryu so u end up in situations where the attacker has do something insanely risky, scoreing a knock down should mean something, it shouldnt put the attacker in an akward/bad situation and thats just what happens in sf4. And characters with no solid reversals normaly have good offensive tools that warrant not having it. Mind u that mostly everyone has an ex move that could be used to reversal out of a meatie.

Capcom made SF4 with the intention of players who had no skill and knowledge of the game to play and feel "instantly" satisfied. Think of it as....an instant win button, lol, or how you can aim and get a bunch of kills quickly in CoD.
I believe they want to maximize profits by letting weaker players get by with stupid stuff, which is why we have to deal with crouch teching and huge reversal windows.
I think we'll get a few more characters. Whoever they will be, Capcom will do us right!
@VegaBisonAbel, this is what i believe is really needed to fix makoto.
1.) ALL hayate's armor break. EX hayate would also have super armor. if balrog (boxer) can have both, why can't she? having it also safe on block would be amazing but i think that would be a little too much (although i would love that)
2.) Karakusa should have as much priority as abel's command throws. c'mon 9 frames? i get beat out by regular throws.
3.) better fukiage hitbox would be nice, but im not complaining, its not too bad to me.
4.) Have ultra 2 start up slightly faster so you don't have to use it right when the fireball is leaving the characters hands.
5.) Your right increased walk speed won't hurt. that'd be really nice actually.
I think if those changes actually happen, she won't be God but she will be a hell of a lot better, and thats all i want.

No, it shouldnt. But it might not a proirty problem and it be ur timing, i have throw hondas out of there ochio but this is cause there trying to tick into to fast. Maybe they could do it so that if she does her jab throw it gives her alittle more reach(similar to abels strong tt) but the difference would be is that the window to combo would be reduced, not allowing her to combo the ultra but to get a regular combo, and maybe give her ex throw instant start up along with the armor, that way she would have a reversal that could get her out of a pressure situation and allow her to gain momentum with a combo or ultra.
her throw needs improvements but the fact that she hits that ultra off of a throw makes the move really hard to balance and thats why i kinda understand why capcom did it the way they did.

@87, you made some good points. in all honesty, because she can combo into her ultra from the grab, one way they could balance her is to tone her damage down. i would be completely fine with that as long as they upped her grab priority as well as the hayate buffs. im not asking for t hawk grab priority, just so that it can't be outmatched by a normal grab. normal grabs beat out the ex karakusa as well. and trust me, when you lose a match like that and you could have came back from it, THATS infuriating. lets just sit back and watch what capcom does.

I honestly dont except them to do much with her. They might give her ex straight punch armor, make the axe kick armor break, speed up the grabs but thats about it. THe sf4 game mechanic hurt her more then anything else and i doubt there would be anything u could give her that would compensate her for it without breaking the character.
