Keyboard..i did all trials of ken on keyboard before,it was really hard though..!
keyboard in my opinion is better than gamepad (overall).
if you don't play characters with 720s or TK motions (like Viper's super jump cancels), you have no disadvantage whatsoever.
the reason you don't see many keyboard players is because fighting games were traditionally arcade games first and console games after.
keyboard players are mostly people who started fighting games on PC with emulators (GGPO/2DF)
I use a keyboard, it's no big deal really. I think it's actually easier than with a regular controller because you can have all the attack buttons in two rows instead of the whole shoulder button thing. Even 360s are easy enough, though 720s are pretty near impossible for me.
How is shoto's cr lk-cr lp ** srk is easy on keyboard..its damn hard to cancel srk without shortcuts..!
Like others have said, playing on keyboard is actually pretty easy once you get used to it and the good thing about kb is that pretty much eliminates any accidental inputs, i.e., you're never goin to press, say, down-forward when you meant to press forward on a kb.
The downside, apart from 360s and other long fluid motions, is that most keyboards can't register 3 or more key presses at the same time (sometimes not even 2 depending on which keys) so you need to use shortcuts, i.e. map 3 kicks to a single key, etc. I bet that's the reason why the guy in the video is pressing a single key to do the focus attack.
I play with a keyboard (coming from an emulator background). Its a hell of a lot easier than using a pad or a stick. I also play gief on keyboard. 360's, Guiles ultra motion.. i can do it all easily.
Keyboards are awesome for every character except those with 720s. Guile/Vega ultra motions are very doable with practice and calm, you do the input too fast and you're screwed. That kinda sucks.
Anyway.

Instant Cannon Strikes and Viper's SJCs are easy if you treat them like fireball motions, but instead of pressing P you hit up. You don't even have to do it that fast.
For example EX Seismo D,DF,F+U air burn kick and EX Seismo D,U ground burn kick come out pretty easily. Meterless FADCs aren't hard either.
I had some problems with SJC Ultra and SJC Seismo but I didn't really try that hard to figure out the inputs since I don't main her, plus my overall execution sucks.
I would really, really like to play SSF4 with a keyboard but I have no idea how to set it up, I tried plugging it into the usb port but the xbox 360 didn't register it.
Anyone got any ideas? any help would be much appreciated.
Update on post above: I can navigate the xbox 360 menu's with the keyboard but when I start Super Street Fighter 4, none of the keys do anything. Except the windows key, which brings up the xbox 360 sign in menu.
kenthirdstrike : Capcom and most console developers never bother adding kb support in their games, even though ps3/360 support keyboards in their OS
Gameplan: if you play with WASD (directions) and 789 456 (from numeric pad), you can press 6 buttons at a time on most keyboards. you can do ultras without 3P or 3K hotkeys for example.
Chryo: i can do instant cannon strikes very easily with Cammy, but i have trouble with Viper's motions.. i guess i'm not understanding her too well since she's not my main
btw.. this is my "arcade keyboard" mod: http://shoryuken.com/content/keyboard...
@Aqua
I was a long time emulator player and I'm pretty sure I tried a lot of key combinations including the one you say and never got it to work, at least on the keyboards I had. It doesn't matter anymore because now I'm using a TE stick and finally I'm able to play all those classic arcade games the way I played them back in the day. :D
Shoutouts to playing SF with a keyboard. It's what I do with SSF2 in lecture classes! It's really not that hard though. Map all the attacks like a fightstick does. Map the directions to WASD. Quarter circles and DP motions are easy as hell. The only thing hard is 360s and 720s for Gief and T Hawk. Parrying in 3rd Strike is actually even easier with keys than a stick in my opinion haha.
