Below is another set of Filipino Champ vs. Daigo matches.
Thanks to Hugo for pointing out the Arturo videos.
Incoming Daigo fanboys with a crappy excuse for why he lost in 3...2...1...
I don't dislike the guy, but you win some and you lose some. And his fans needs to accept that he can lose sometimes. Nobody is perfect.
@ 4 they mentioned that the game sounds were inaudible due to tournament background noise so they thought putting music was better. Sorry not everyone shares the same music taste as you.

Another Money Match Daigo vs Filipino Champ at SB5 FT5
Took place before the Arturo Match
Enjoy!
DAIGO WAS NOT HIMSELF DURING THIS SB....HE DID GET EXPOSED THOUGH...
funny how americans get so hype when daigo loses. really? do they think daigos the best in the world? if they do they're igronant in the sf community. there are people in japan that beat daigo on a regular bases. daigo represents only a small part of the sf scene in japan. if Arturo, marn and jwong can manage to win a sf tourney in japan, then Americans can start talking. as of right now I don't see it happening anytime soon. let's face it, US will always be behind japan in sf.
@OomackattackoO
Thank you for proving my prediction correct.
Love the celebration at the end of the 2nd Arturo vid. I think I've seen more expressions on Daigo's face in the past week, than the whole previous 2 years of SF4
Daigo lost: All USA people = Yeaaaaaaaaah, suuuuuuck, the Teast lost, yeaaaaaaaaaah, tks GOD,in GOD we trust, *.* is a great nic3 ultra player, same japanese level...etc
Daigo Won: All USA people = normal, no news, no diference, no problem, same 2 same...etc
Which of these players already won EVO/SBO?? NOBODY...LOL, USA plps frustrated again in EVO 2010.
Many JAP/KOR players beat Daigo, no news for this. USA plp take it personally. Silly boys.
Dhalsim: the character to play when you cant really play. FChamp sucks and so does Arturo they are garbage on any other character. Run away corner humper characters and players make me laugh.
Arturo has an amazing Rose and Seth so you don't know what you're talking about.
Blaming the characters: What people who suck like to do.
lol @ Filipino champ spamming yoga tower when Daigo had him in the corner.
Here's another view of the Daigo- Arturo match, not complete yet, but hopefully will be soon. Crazy that Art starts off with Seth...

Wow, the videos of Daigo vs Sanchez just make me sick to my stomach. I'm enraged at and embarassed by these utter morons talking smack and trying to bully Daigo. Are you serious? This is why EVERYONE hates America, we're labeled with a bad reputation because of the actions of people like the pure ghetto trash going after Daigo in these videos. First off, this is Daigo, not some online scrub. You can't just talk smack at him like he's not good. He would absolutley scrub all of those punks with big mouths in the background. It's also funny that they're making fun of some of Daigos decisions and calling him names when he comes back and takes a round he was losing. Arturo is the one playing scared in each round and Daigo gets harassed. "nah f**k that, f**k that" no, more like f**k you, you piece of trash. America needs better representation, someone who is a class act, unlike these parasites disgracing our country. I want an American to beat Daigo consistently and become the best, but I can't support someone with a scumbag entourage. Sanchez should've told them to chill out, I mean it's just not right. Juicebox, valle, mike Ross, Justin, someone rep us correctly please.
@ #11 (RandomJohn)
The problem with your comment isn't the fact that you claim Japan to be better than the US at SF4... most people would acknowledge this to be true.
The problem with your comment is your bit about how the US "will always be behind Japan" in terms of fighting game skill. That's a really dumb statement, even beyond the desperate nut-hugging.
Evolution happens. People once thought that man would NEVER walk on the moon. That was proven wrong, and you're still naive enough to think that American players will never equal the Japanese in skill at a FIGHTING GAME? Please. Footsies is not astrophysics, and global (as in US and Canada and Europe and...) progress is inevitable.
Until SF4, Japan had an enormous demographic advantage over the US. They have a massive population that lives in a relatively small space. Now, the whole world has high-speed, the whole world has XBL, the whole world has access to SRK and Youtube. The barriers are broken, and now it's just a matter of time.
Oh, and there are mannnny interviews floating around the internet in which Japanese players themselves say that Daigo is the scariest player to face in tournament. Are there better players in Japan? Probably. But is Daigo amongst the absolute cream of the crop? You'd be crazy to believe otherwise.
TL;DR: Never post again, RandomJohn.
correction to my post earlier, I meant to write something to Burn AND something to Hokuto...
@ Burn, its not a USA bashing thread. The behavior is universally inappropriate and disrespectful. Also, I do gotta say, during my time in Japan I spent a lot of time at arcades and can honestly say that the players that that defeated me never trash talked, but offered advice. Maybe I am just lucky, but my time in US arcades before they died was filled with being cussed at. As an American, I will say we can definitely be the most disrespectful.
Completely agreed about the smack talk and disrespect in the Daigo/Arturo set. Disgusting. I'm really glad Daigo took that set just to show them their comments don't mean sh*t to him.
I want someone like Mike Ross to be the face of professional Street Fighter. Even though he's not the best, he handles himself with complete class.
Yeah they probably do, it is a game of smack talk and hype after all. But that's not their rep, it's ours. We have the bad rep because of these gelatinous tapeworms. That's my problem. And you know Americans probably don't get harassed by the Japanese like this. It's street fighter. Tr best will wi. There's a reason why Daigo keeps winning the big events. If you can't take it, then find a new game you know? It's not like he did anything to them previous to this either. It's totally uncalled for.
@39
Ok, being the most disrespectful and just being disrespectful are different things. You must have gotten lucky when you were in Japan, because it can be absolutely brutal there.. I think there is a video on youtube where a US player is at a JP arcade and he gets smack talked. Lemme see if I can find it.
Well I don't doubt that Americans catch flak in oter countries. They hate us. Becuase of idiots like in the video. And from my expericence at China town Fair arcade in NYC, there are big sore losers and trash talkers there. My first day playing SF4 was a good experience overall but it was kind of lessend by sore losers. I had little success with Ken, my first choice. So I switched over to zangief. My first match is against a dhalsim player, ironically enough, who's cleaning house. I beat him, what does he do? He turns to me and tells me that I'm not really good and just got lucky. Haha so I just told him "yeah lucky that I trapped your punk ass dhalsim in the corner and piledrove you to death" next match, anothr dhalsim. I won again. Then finally they actually bring this kid over from the other side of the arcade to play me. He mirrors my zangief and beats me. I guess he was THE zangief player at the time and they wcouldnt beat me so they went out of their way to find someone who could. There's just too much hate against people who just want nice comp. People like scumbag and his salty antics never get any talk sent their way. Which is how itbshoyld be because those are the people who deserve it.
So he loses to a Dhalsim... I mean, imo, Dhalsim is by far the most lame character in the game. Played right, you will have little to no chance against a Dhalsim player, no matter how skilled you are. Dhalsim's 'keep away' game is ridicilous imo, and makes him by far the most boring and annoying character in the cast. I can't really spare any respect for top players playing Dhalsim, it truly seems that people playing Dhalsim are those who wanna win at the cost of the making the game extremely boring and one-sided. For me, turtling is the only negative side of the game, and if turtling was much less effective, I bet the game would improve a lot - both in terms of excitement but also in terms of player evolution and tactics. If you can't turtle out, you're forced to find different ways to handle different situations. I'm not saying we should have all out brawl with no defense, but turtling shouldn't be the answer to everything given the right character.
With that said, hype around Daigo can be weird. He's amongst the best players out there for sure and he doesn't play super boring turtling. I like watching Daigo play, whether he wins or loses, but the reaction to him losing is weird. We're all players here, and mutual respect is something we should show more of. And that goes to any player on the top scene, even those who play Dhalsim. ;)

I think your mention of bullying is what has caused this kind of gut reaction from people. No one likes a bully, and seeing what appears to be acts of it affects people on a different level. I think this is the same for the Andre and Marn matches as well. Daigo never talks and simply plays the game, so when you get people trying to mess with his head it looks like bullying. To be honest though, if you watch part 4 of those videos from Art MM, at the 1:10 mark Noel Brown (i think) says that Daigo is laughing after every round. I really don't think he cares what is being said in the background, whether he can understand it or not. Is it disrespectful? Yes to a degree, but you have people rooting Daigo on in there as well. Nothing sinister was going to happen, but it is always somewhat upsetting to see a quiet person get sh*t talked to. In the end though, he won the match, so that's what Daigo probably cares about anyways. I think he also enjoys playing Art because it brings out the best in his Ryu. He really gets into the zone and pulls some insane stuff out, i.e. the crouching fierce into super during the 5v5.
Sorry for the essay.
hahahhahahahah
the pic of filipino at the begining of the clip is hilarious, he seems to be the tipical arrogant sf player, i hate that people.....
seems like the indian is ryu´s nemesis.
as a ryu player i hate to play against him, is very dificult to get mid/close range and beahind that the only weapon that ryu has is the hadou.
even do he has beat daigo, that is something to be porud of
lets just say they were to play a 100x in a row how what would the final tally be?
All that "nnnn" groaning in arturo clip 2 was overkill.
The end of arturo clip 2 when the match was over was crazy. Not because of who won, but because Daigo actually had a big-ass smile on his face.
omegax9000--------------- id say 70-30 or 80-20.....Even tho i hate shotos.....Its a must u give props to Daigo....Non of daigos peoples were there and its not his environment either...Just looking at daigos face.He doesnt care..He was more irritated at the peoples around him and there comments....Fagchamp looks like a punk scrub.....Havent seen or herd the last of daigo.I can tell u that.. FAGCHAMP hes not a true winner at heart.
U.S is way better then that..But hell cant say about the countrys..
So does anybody know if Daigo had any other money matches against other players besides Arturo and Filipino Champ? Specifically with Justin Wong and Marn. I wanna see Daigo beat Marn to put him in his place!
Daigo is not cream of the crop in Japan. I'm not sure why people get so excited when they beat him. I have yet to see him win a major tourney over there. He's won some team tournies here and there but those don't count considering that his team mostly carried him. Sako and Mago are the top in Japan.
Lol what? Daigo may not have won many touney's over there, but saying his team carrying him is the most bullsh!t thing I've heard, you can see at SBO and japan nationals that all the top players are teamed with each other, that's pretty damn unfair. Look at both tourney's Daigo has been partnered with weak players or no names, and still makes it pretty far. Also Daigo has beaten mago 75% of the time, EVEN WITH vanilla Sagat. I'd say he's about tied with Sako.
@ Nukka, ^ Yea, you speak the truth! Much respect to Daigo. He's done so much for the Street Fighter Community. And he's most probably the most recognizable face of the Street fighter community right now.
On a related note, competition is good! It's what keeps the top players from being in top shape. And with all these players making a name for themselves, here in North America and all over the world, the fighting game community would only get bigger and stronger!
Just watch the Daigo vs Arturo vid
What a load of pr1cks in that room. A55 kissing tw@'s
I have to agree with all of the comments about trash-talking Daigo. It's understandable that they're all cheering for Arturo, hissing "YEssssssss" every time he scores a hit. I can understand that. Arturo is a US player and it's good to see someone who is representing us work to defeat a top Japanese player. But when you decide to start throwing disgusting slander at the competition saying, "Cmon, beat that n***a. Whoop that n***a. F**k that n***a, f**k him up", it becomes stupid and an incredible display of human idiocy.
A person in the video remarked "It's alright, it's not like he understands us anyways", but that's the problem with bullying, the person who's bullying is too stupid to understand how it feels. Yes, yes, Daigo probably didn't understand what was being said. He was smiling and he seemed fine, but that's only because he didn't know any better. It's essentially the same as someone talking garbage behind your back and you not knowing.
I thought bullying only existed in high school, but then again, half of the retards in those videos don't even look like they graduated with a high school diploma, let alone a GED.
Man, Daigo is on a bad streak. Started with losing to Sako after taking a big lead in the bo10, then came to America and underperformed. Maybe his confidence is taking a hit? Eh, all top players go through ups and downs. Both Daigo and Justin Wong will be back in form soon.
Lol @ all the guys backing/coaching art.. it was really daigo vs the everyone in the room by the sounds of it
@62
I don't know that he's on a "bad streak," I think the US is just stepping their game up. In the last year, the scene has exploded and there are SO many resources for people to level up.
Remember that Justin Wong didn't even make Top 8 at EVO this year, I think this is due to the same reason.
you hear the word "nigga" like a thousand times in the background.. they're just playing SF guys.
daigo vs arturo pt 2 @ 4:17
"he can't understand us."
why is there so much sh!t talking with all the black people in the back?
then everyone congratulates him LOL.
In the Arturo match Daigo plays well and is apparently black
Hi guys this is my first comment on Eventhubs.
I really wanted to tell you something about the trash talking against Daigo: you have to know that people around the world understand english!!!
I'm french and i learned english for years, I listen english music, I watch american movies and I'm pretty sure Daigo, as me, can understand when people behind his back are saying something like "f**k this n***a".
I'm sure this is why Daigo had such a big smile at the end...
for some reason the posts got split, so here was the comment I wrote when this and the Juicebox posts were together. Its on topic for this thread now and not the juicebox one lol.
Man, I personally HATE fighting Dhalsim. Fortunately I don't have too hard of a time getting in on him since Juri is so fast, but he is still my most feared match up.
