Also, Desk put together another awesome Chun-Li video showing a 51-hit combo performed without using any meter and a short HD Remix Akuma clip as well.
Kudos to The_Chap for the tip.
pfffft, I pretty much invented that combo like 5 years ago.
ill never be the best, my hands are too slow compared to the pros lol
For 50 bucks, no way. Make it 500 and you got your self a bet.
so what if you and i wont EVER be the best. yeah i wanna be competitively good, but mainly i just wanna have fun playing my favorite game SSF4. making videos like this is nice, but it mainly implies that unless you can't perform this combo, you can't play good. don't believe it. i may not play as good as you, SO WHAT???
@Darko
Making this video does not in any way shape or form imply that you're not good if you can't perform this combo. That's a dumb comment.
Most of the top level players probably couldn't perform this combo and they're the best players around. It's a difficult thing to do, Desk is offering a reward to those who can do it, if anyone can. Nothing more.
Darko, I don't see where your comment is coming from at all. It's weird you made that assumption.
Oh well looks like we have a winner already,
and the winner is....... well look at that it's Desk
lol @ people who wont combo for such a measly sum of cash. We've got combo divas here on Event Hubs, folks.
Great moves ....that is flawless execution. But then... it is easier to do it when the computer isnt trying to hit ya back lol. STILL tho..... I could never do it. Maybe I should get a joystick finally? My hands are too big for the directional pad and often mess up when trying to input move sequences. Oh well.... I am not a pro and dont ever care to be;)
after seeing this i have to ask, why are gens mk hands removed? it wasnt a real loop. worked only twice and did no real damage. i still dream of sf4 gen in ssf4. with his old jump arch and the beautiful, but nearly senseless mk hands-mk hands-FADC-mp-mk hands-mk hands combo. i still havent found a new main in ssf4, because no member of the cast feels as good as sf4 Gen!
is chuns loop removed in arcade?
@Tsu83: I don't know about Gen's MK hands combo but regarding Chun's loop, first of all it starts from a cr.HP which starts up in 7 frames. This isn't very fast and it doesn't reach very far so you're not going to land it often outside of jump ins (which are easy to AA with Chun's floaty jump), focus crumples, and punishing unsafe moves.
Second, linking another cr.HP after the HK legs extended into MK legs is 1 frame. And it's not just any 1 frame link because there's a lot of delay after the legs, so the timing is very late compared to most 1 frame links (think Ryu's f.HP into cr.HP).
I think the largest difficulty in executing this combo is finding a reliable piano technique for cr.HP xx legs that allows you to plink the HP. You also can't plink the ultra unless you rewire your back/select button.
This loop has been in the game since vanilla so I don't see them removing it in the AE. Maybe they would if Sako mained Chun and made the loop look practical like he did in the few videos I saw of him using Chun.
And oh yeah, DAMAGE SCALING.
@ fermented: thanks for your answer. i have to admit that gens 'loop' was definitely easier to start and if there are 1 frame links in it those are 'easy' ones like ryus. but still its a hard piano move with 26 inputs. it only worked on some characters (i dont know about chuns) and because of the damage scaling it was better used to push opponents back than to take away much life.
i've never seen it online, only used by yeb in tournaments.
the thing is, gen was always considered to be one of the weakest characters. so why does he loose his 'loop'(i dont wanna call it like this because it worked twice) and chun keeps hers. even fei longs loop was removed (and this was a super hard 1 frame link, too)
dont get me wrong. i dont want chuns to be removed. i want gens to be added again! he was never strong not even with his combo.
those one frame links, specially the ones not programmed intentional, make us produce and enjoy combo videos. (like the one made by LiangHubbb(wich included chuns loop in a match):)
@Tsu83: I agree that Gen should have kept his loop. They made a lot of questionable changes with him in SSF4 as you illustrated.
And I wasn't referring to Ryu's f.HP to cr.HP as one of the "easy" 1 frame links, I was using it as an example of a 1 frame link that is timed very late just like Chun's cr.HP link after legs. An "easy" 1 frame link IMO would be Chun's jab to st. fierce or Ryu's jab into cr. roundhouse.
oh okay, i got you wrong with ryus example. i dont really play him that often, so probably seeing daigo perform this every match made me think its an example for an easy one xD. but i know what you mean. i made a chun combo video and i know that connecting something after the legs is really hard. (fei longs chicken wing - hp is probably a good example too)
stuff where it's hard to hear the rythm, because the pause is pretty long.
