Level|Up hosted another Wednesday Night Fights tournament, which is a Super Street Fighter 4 competition, and had Seasons Beatings champion, GamerBee, on hand to compete against several southern California players.
valles ability to adapt in a first to 10 set is unparalleled. valle is going to lose like the first 4 games and then he's going to figure gamerbee out.
i predict valle 10 gamerbee 6.
@6
That'll never happen and you know it. That's every SF pro's nightmare.
they should have tatsu vs gamerbee instead...that would make a more interesting match
Valle has always used Ryu as his main. However, Valle's style is almost an exact duplicate of Daigo. (Daigo makes fewer errors)
On playful Streams he uses, unfortunately other TOP TIERS like Bison.
Congrads to GamerBee for winning this b4 it starts.
@11 Are you saying Daigo is the only one allowed to use Ryu? Calling someone like Valle who's been on the scene for years a wannabe is complete disrespect. I love how haters can try to call someone out for being crappy when you know that the same person you're calling crappy would smash you without so much as batting an eyelash.
@ipoopedmypants
All I ever hear you do is talk s-hit unless it comes to your glorious Nippon idols. Literally EVERYTHING. Marn won? Daigo was off his game, random ultra etc. Excuses excuses excuses.
Just go live in Japan so you can suck Daigo's dick if you love it so much you weeaboo f-aggot.
@ PoopyPants
U might enjoy this....

i have been trying to tell people adon is by far the best new character in the game watch next tier list hes goin be at the very least very high upper tier
on topic
cant wait to see this and to everyone dissing valle you need to get your sh!t together valle is the only reason SF has a scene in america and if you think otherwise your a moron
@poopy
Players use who they like to use, you aren't allowed to call him generic because Valle has been using Ryu for like 15+ years. And yes, Valle is on Daigo's level.
Just please move to Taiwan because you obviously are trying to pursue a romantic relationship with Lamerbee.
@#4 goron_ninja
My feelings exactly. Valle tends to take a while to adapt, losing the first few games, but after 3-5 defeats he's already figured the opponent out, and unless they change their game considerably, Valle tends to perform a devastating comeback.
Im glad to be regarded as the best Adon in the world all you have to do is spam jag kick and neutral jump HK. Amazing how bad these "pros" are they they lose to simple cross up and neutral HK jump at wakeup haha.
if People actually payed attention to anything they'd see that Daigo's and Valle's styles are far from identical, Valle is more aggressive than Daigo and and you almost never see Daigo use ex tatsu, which is something Valle is know for doing. they have the same tools but use them incompletely different ways. might as well say ryu and ken are identical too.
I'm rooting for Valle. Gamerbee is awesome but Valle is clearly under estimated. only good thing about gamerbee winning to me is he might be the reason the Taiwanese scene blows up if it does and the more gamers the more games get made.
so to get on topic, I say Valle 10-8
Right. Gamerbee took home first at Season's Beatings by playing just like every other online Adon. Seriously? The population of eventscrubs is so frustrating. It's really a shame the guys who run this site do such an amazing job.
Get hype! I'm leaving in 30 minutes for this s***!
@MisguidedAngel
There are plenty of people on the comment boards providing good and insightful stuff, it's your choice if you want to focus on the people who don't have anything to offer or just don't have a clue.
I'd recommend responding to the former though, as you can get some really good conversations going here with people that know what they're talking about.
@ Catalyst
You're correct, Cat. My apologies. And in focusing on the more constructive population I'll actually help the community instead of hypocrtically hindering it as previous comment has done ;). Frustration plants its seeds too easily.
But I can't wait for this match. I'm an Adon player myself, and was inspired to keep playing him thank to Gamerbee! And Valle will always be one of the best. Routing for Gamerbee though.
I think more people will be inspired to pick up Adon and not just play Ryu/Ken because of GamerBee. Seeing top players use off characters is a good inspiration for the entire community because it proves that you can use almost the entire cast and win at a top level.
GamerBee is proof of that.
Valle beat Justin Wong recently. Only bad thing about Valle is that he drops combos that even I can do in my sleep.
I'm surprised no one brought this up yet, but when Super was released, Valle played a lot of Adon and released some basic tutorial videos for him. I've seen him do a few casual matches pre-tournaments with Adon and he's pretty decent with him. At the very least, he has a decent idea about the match up at this point, so Gamerbee doesn't have that edge on him. I'm sure they'll be good matches.
@#28 VladDracul
I agree, he does that far too much. But hey, if the opponents are still falling for it, what can he do? The opponents need to step up their game, then we'll see how GamerBee reacts to that.
If you put Daigo against a scrub, he'll look like your average fireball spammer, too. Interesting matches depend on both players being reasonably skilled on the matchup.
So much hate in the world. Gamerbee is an extremely good player and if you don't have his skill level, you won't get anywhere near his success with Adon. Even if you figure out his shenanigans, you still have to beat his execution, his reaction, his mixups and his ability to adapt. Although I think his greatest ability is his control over flow of the match. Against bad matchups, he will patiently bait the other player to make a mistake and then punish them. If the other player is just as patient, he becomes more aggressive until the other players takes the bait. This only doesn't work against super turtle characters like Honda.
I think in Valle vs Gamerbee, it will come down to who can get the momentum going first. Both are aggressive players with the same set of options and counters.
Actually Daigo was using Ex tatsu alot to punish tech throws in Vanilla but he seemed to stop doing it as much in Super.
Real excited for this match. First time I have viewed a live stream of a street fighter match up. Rooting for GamerBee for sure!!!
It's weird that everybody thinks this is free for Gamerbee.
Valle has been playing Adon for a long time. He's got this.
@Kaizy, WOW! bro you've been sipping on that hate juice. Why don't you take on Gamerbee and show us how it's done.
gamerbee plays daigo alot. i think he already know everything about Ryu. Valle needs to go to youtube watch some daigo vs gamerbee matches.
RushThatShiitDown just got changed to MyShiitJustGotRushed
@58 Yes, because shenanigans is what got him through EVO at one of the top. Shenanigans is what got him 10-2 against Valle. They can know the match up as long as they want but that doesn't make GamerBee a less solid player. He's been playing consistently with some of Japan's and Taiwan's best players so he knows his stuff. Now get the hell out.
Great stuff- but have these guys heard of sound mixing?
Wow gamerbee is going to skew the rankings, makes adon seem godlike. As far as valle, he cemented his legacy already. top alpha 2 player, one of the best alpha 3 players, beat daigo in 3s at evo.
Gamerbee has alot on his plate now because the SF focus has shifted on him, he's the one everyones gunning for now.
I cant understand the Gamerbee hate. The guy is a really decent player, theres nothing lame about him. I can guarantee all you guys that 'think' you can beat him wouldnt win a round haha
"All he does is..."
Why is it that if GamerBee has a sub-par, limited arsenal, he's doing so well? Bunch of armchair champions, why aren't you up there proving your theories?
thats what happens when you practice with the best.
@59: You wouldn't beat average SRK Adons. Your comment shows you know NOTHING about the matchup. Tooth hard to punish? No, that's the easiest move to punish, that's why GB and other good Adons never do it. You can ANY reversal or just standing jab, or you can air throw if your character has one. There's about 6 million ways to punish it, choose one.
@Ipoopedinurpants I am sure if Truth wanted his own comeback, he would have wiped it off your mother's face :)
And Ipoopedinurpants's comment 85 just reeks of lonely guy struggling to sound smart on the internet, because nobody likes him in person. It's ok Ipoopedinurpants, I will be your friend <3 Don't cry little panda, it will all be ok, even if momma and papa don't love you and you got picked on in school.
Yeesh... it was kind of unbearable to watch Valle get destroyed. I mean he's still one of most solid players in the US, but GamerBee was just too dominant. I gotta admit, this guy is making more of a scene than Poongko could ever do, but he has the skill to go straight to the top.
If they meet again in SoCal Regionals, I hope Valle will do a little better.
i bet you all once adon's wakeup becomes the same as everyone else then gamerbee won't be as dominant.
10-2 is a definite blowout... but valle is still the man, hopefully he will do better next time.
#100
Adon won't be as dominant in general? Or Gamerbee won't specifically? He seems to have the skills to excel with Adon even after a nerf to his wakeup speed. His reactions and links are excellent. Plus, it's not like he's been killing everyone. Top 8 at EVO and winning SB5 isn't really dominating and he did get sent to loser's bracket by Wong before battling back. I have to admit though, this set against Valle was very impressive, but let's see how he does at SCR against different competition and Sako.
Hey didn't valle play adon for a bit when SSF4 fist came out? I recall that he did. I would think he should know what the match-up better than any other. I really don't read into the tier list that much.
I only think that there are some underrated characters out there. Gen, dudley, Makoto being of some of those. Since gen is so difficult to master, I think that he need more time to get familiar with and not say he is so bad as depicted in the tier list.
Go Lainy! I play with this guy on weekends in Santa Monica and his Viper is a beast. He plays her all over the place and is very exciting to watch. He usually loses to Hugo101 or Shizza, but it looks like he was on his game for this tourney. Kudos.
why are the moderators on this site such a bunch of nazis?
They ban accounts because people have opinions?
Opinions?!?!
Yeah, god damn those opinons, horrible things. Nobody should have opinons. Nobody should be allowed to say alex valle sucks because that is an opinon. Opinons are evil guys, eventhubs has confirmed that for us all.
Instead we should just all throw flowers at each other.
Ever wonder why people dub this site eventscrubs? With stupid admining it's no wonder.
Isn't this site american? Aren't you guys in favour of free speach? When did the nazis take over this site? Is it still 1940? Is hitler about to invade europe?
This is a privately run web site - free speech applies only to public (government) institutions. I believe places that receive government funding are subject to this as well. The admin/mods of this site are free to do whatever they want, just as you and I are free not to read/post/join this site.
Basically its their site, their rules.
#81 lol you know nothing then how come Mike Ross has been so far one of the main ones to defeat him in Evo and in the 5vs5 on SB5, with that being said Gamerbee sees Ross as rival in the U.S. saying he will defeat him someday. Also props to Gamerbee his Adon play is very intelligent and he is dare I say the best in the world right now.
@Cantbaitthis you cry to much over nothing grow up.
well he did try headbutts as an escape and punish at evo and paid the price for them. Plus he completely decimated Henry Cen's Honda.
Jaugar stand up make them Ryu players sit down.
and I'm sorry but god damn that hurt to watch especially seeing as Valle does know basic Adon and was in fact pimping Adon shortly after SSF4's release.
At first I was thinking "Yeah it will be another Combofiend FT10" but when it hit 6-1 I was like "Okay sh*t is going down" when it was 8-2 I was simply "Yep Valle got bodied pretty hard however he might not get fully shut down" and when it was all over and done and Bee swept it 10-2 I felt bad for Ryu and made me think how had it's going to be in a tourney setting for one to win against Bee's Adon, since Valle knows basic adon and got bodied.
As for Mike's Honda VS Bee's Adon, at that moment at EVO 2010 Mike was a slightly weaker player(like Marn to Justin weak) however his character's advantages over Adon helped him get on the level and the fact Bee got shook at the end of the match(Not jumping away from Honda's U2) really helpped him
How do you ever get used to something like Gamerbee's Adon? He is so freaking fast...
"supposedly gamerbee is crashin at alex valle's house"
JAGUAR SLEEPOVA
@#97
Could you be anymore b1tchy? The guy is a pro, he'll just adapt plus I'm sure they'll give Adon another tool to compensate for the nerf. Jeez, the hatered........
Does anybody notice Chen says around the 6 12 minute mark " gamerbee eliminated diago at evo 2010 right before final 8". Doesnt he mean Justin Wong? Almost positive on that...
Yea, Daigo won the tournament. Weird he would make that mistake.
Go GamerBee and Alex Valle.
