Ode to the 2-hit combo, throwback videos

Posted by Jonathan 'Catalyst' Grey • October 11, 2010 at 2:39 a.m. PDT
A series of videos that premiered back at EVO 2004 were uploaded in HD by Maj, dedicated to the art of the 2-hit combo.

These feature a lot of old school fighting games, and even though the consecutive hit tally doesn't go up very far, these movies are stylish and fun to watch.

There's nothing quite as beautiful or elegant as a well placed 2-hit combo.

@deBLOO

Your post was as significant as your reputation.

Wait... you don't have one. =/

It kinda got old after the first minute.

Yeah we get it, you're doing 2-hit combos.

I am NOT sitting through 18 minutes worth of two hit combo videos. It is just not worth my (or anyone's) time. Sure, there is SOME degree of style points, but why not just take the most "stylish" ones and put them into a 2-3 minute video?

Anyone's got somewhat of a list of the games they used? I saw alot of SF2, SF3, CVS, Garou, SF EX, KOF, Samurai Showdown, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, but I want to know about the other games they used, they look pretty cool.

The infamous cr. jab, cr. jab or cr. short, cr. short.
These two hit combos have ended many close matches and thus are the most dominating of two hit combos. Thus making them the greatest combos of all time!
