Yoshinori Ono Tweeted that the Arcade Edition DLC package he pitched to Capcom USA's offices wasn't approved, but went on to add that he has a new project in the works. So what happened with the Arcade Edition DLC characters proposal Ono-san?
Ono: I couldn't got approval from [upper level staff], but I'll continue [the] proposal!!
Good luck on getting your bosses to approve DLC.
Ono: Thanks. So, I got approval from my boss, Keiji Inafune, but I can't [get] it from [upper level staff]. ;(
My hype died! I give up on wishing for Arcade Edition DLC for SSF4 since you didn't got approval! =(
Ono: I'm not giving up yet. ;D
While it's a bit of a surprise that Arcade Edition DLC wasn't approved by upper level staff at Capcom, Inafune was at least board, and it may just mean that the proposal needs to be altered a bit to get full approval. It definitely sounds like Ono hasn't given up hope.
Thanks to Whitey_Deluca and Megadautilus for the tip.
lol He's not keeping us up to date! of everything that's going on. Don't think for a split-second that the whole DLC issue wasn't decided a looooong time ago.
Ono would have dropped it if it weren't happening; he's not going to string the kids out to smack them down. It's(DLC) going to happen, don't worry.
My 2 cents...
They may have not liked some of the aspects that Ono pitched and wanted him to change the proposal.
When Ono talks about his Darkstalkers proposal, he basically says how it's rejected outright, but with this, he sounded pretty optimistic still.
Arcade edition in dec, then in the following summer we will get super street fighter 4 turbo with new character(aswell as the arcade characters) new ultras, stages and also some additions to the gameplay(GUARD METER).
This "saga" is a PR trick. It's a farce and it's boring. Of course we will get everything on console. They would not have invested the time, money, resources on creating new characters just for the arcade. They admitted a long time ago that they don't make enough money from the arcades.
@11
we have no need for darkstalkers. With sf4 still current and marvel 3 and sf x tekken on the way having darkstalkers would just kinda over saturate the fighting game market. I doubt they will do it. Capcom vs snk is more of a possibility but snk would have to make a more of a push for it(and something like that wont happen till after sf x tekken).
@20
Oh really? Third Strike Online Edition for Steam then! Also some CvS3 wouldn't hurt.
I am pretty sure that this is all just a bunch of HYPE... to keep the Street Fighter community active and alive until MVC3 or Street Fighter X Tekken. Either way, I am already sooooo OVER this. Super Street Fighter 4 is a great game no doubt, but if they do not release the new characters as DLC its not going to kill me. Atleast I still have Soul Calibur 4. Not to mention, the new Mortal Kombat looks killer!!!!
Either Ono is the greatest troll in the world, and we're secretly getting AE DLC afterall, or Capcom is being extremely stupid.
I don't think Ono is lying or telling the whole truth. DLC is going to depend mostly on costume pack sales. Unfortunately sales have been a bit mediocre. If they are able to make a lot more money then the cost of releasing DLC they will do it. But since sales have been down I don't think it will come out for awhile. Money speaks a lot louder then our words.
If it's another $40 disc add on with six new characters and balance changes etc. I'm probably gonna buy it anyway like most of you will. So I'm not even gonna bitch, I'll just bend over and give Capcom my money, and then I'll do the same thing with MvC 3 and it's DLC. Capcom is the pimp and we their chickenheads on the corner.
you guys are really dumb to think its not gonna come out! of course it is they do that to tease us and see how badly we want it and then they either A. drop the dlc for $20 or B. release a new ssfiv titled arcade edition and rape our pockets once more. As much as we complain we love street fighter so much that were gonna go and buy it regardless if its $59.99 or $39.99
How dissapointing I thought it would be a sure thing. All that talk about Super being able to support DLC and it being the last in the SF4 line may be wasted.
@35
Tell that to the arcade operaters that dish out good money(WAY over 35 bucks) to get upgrade/full cabinet that what they have wont be exclusive thanks to a 10-30 dollar console update. The arcade needs it to be exclusive for atleast awhile. Like i said before, arcade edition in dec and then capcom will follow up with a bigger update(super street fighter 4 turbo) with the ae stuff plus more for consoles for 35.
I personally dont think that a dlc for arcade edition should be put through. look, arcades in general are having a hard enough tim staying a float. if they have the choice of picking up some of these arcade units, their profits might grow and the arcade scene might too. I feel that this is the reason that up level staff isnt letting it pass. they know that the arcade version of vanilla didnt do too well so they needed something exclusive. and thats what Yun and Yang are. I know its exciting to see knew characters in the mix but we cant get content starved.
I hope it is Darkstalkers, but WOW...NOBODY caught the hint?
"I'll [get] back to [my] desk and enter Meeting for New Proje... Oops!! See you later. ;D"
AHEM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_... says hi.
Damn, you guys are totally slippin'. Project Justice and Rival Schools IS in the same canon and "universe" as Street Fighter and Final Fight.
If for some reason they make another SF disc based game, it will be worth money and everyone will buy it. It's just too fun not to play. Why doesn't anyone complain when they have to pay an extra 50 bucks each year for the next expansion of WoW? You're going to play it just as much.
Lol, so many scrub comments here. Come on, it's not like anyone of you have a better idea of how Capcom works than Ono. Saying you do only shows how ignorant you are. Just read the news and move on. Nothing to see here.
Also, lighten up. :)
Most people here are jumping to conclusions. Capcom would be stupid to announce AE DLC for home systems before the arcade version comes out. It would be a total slap in the face to Japan arcade owners. Remember KOF12? It came out for home systems a month or 2 after the arcade version came out.
They will most definitely announce the AE DLC some time after its arcade release and hell, they might even add more to the DLC.
SF4 vanilla arcade --> 8 months later home version released with a ton of new content.
hmm, if they want to do another disc it better have alot more than just yun and yang on it :\
Well don't worry, I'm sure the four people planning on playing Super Street Fighter 4 in the arcades will LOVE Yun and Yang!
#19. So your saying that they wont do something like Capcom vs. SNK at least until 2013 or 2014, since Street Fighter X Tekken is not due until 2012. If they do, then Capcom should make it.
@39
thats exactly wat i been saying. I remember when the concole verison of sf4 came out it killed a good amount of arcade traffic since it was not only cheaper but it had exclusives. Arcade operaters wont invest the money if they know there machine wont offer anything unique over the consoles. For the third time, aracde edition in dec, that following summer super street fighter 4 turbo is released(the smart thing to do would be a simeltaneous relase on both arcade and console).
@19
No, WE DONT. It doesnt offer anything that sf4 doesnt other then retarded looking characters. Capcom just jump started the fighting game genre again, you cant overflow the market with games.
I can understand wanting to allow time for the arcade edition to sell and remain exclusive for sales reasons. That much has always been obvious to me from the start of this DLC rumor talk... but why don't they just release the DLC outside of Japan on the same day the arcade releases. We won't get to play the arcade as it isn't being released outside of Japan.
Sure, some lucky people in New York or Cali will have a local arcade import one... but most people won't have access. That would be the benevolent course of action. Maybe Capcom loves us non-JP residents?
Don't fall for this BS publicity stunt. I hate Ono and his lies.
@29 Do you mean that by the time the arcade edition DLC comes out, the game will be obsolete? I don't really see any fighting games that will dethrone SSF4 in the near future... MvC3 in Spring; Tekken Tag 2 is coming to arcades in Spring, so probably Fall/Winter 2011 at the earliest for consoles; maybe VF5:FS comes out Fall/Winter if we're lucky. SSF4 won't be obsolete until 2012 at least.
And hey, that's when the world ends... so it'll never be obsolete. (joke, obviously)
Capcom = Stupid
On the whole ?i agree with most that it could be possible that the AE when released needs some time in the arcades then we could see it in April or so.
Personally i'm tired of this. Either say 'Absolutely not' or "Yes but not till Arcades get a chance' one or the other. Don't give us this "If we have enough requests" etc. WE are fans of SF and of course we want the DLC. If at all at least give us the tweaks or balance changes so we can compete with the best when tournaments are scheduled.
Also Where are the other characters that are going to supposedly be announced? That iswaht I'm interested in.
Here in America we wont see many SF4AE cabinets at least here in Arizona. I'm not going to spend $2 on a game at a place like Gameworks or D&B.
Why are people complaining it's a PR stunt by capcom for the following reasons The AE:DLC will happen within 6 months:
1. Let's take Daigo. Which would he do Practice at the local arcade on a rebalanced game or practice on a PS3/360 version that most tournaments run on. It makes no since to waste his time on a rebalanced game that will throw off timing and tricks in tournaments.
2. Ok So They drag arcade cabinets to tournaments (highly unlikely). This would put the international community outside of japan on a very unleveled playfield. How many cabinets do we expect to see in America, Europe, Korea, Australia, etc. Very few.
Capcom has pretty much Backed themselves into a corner with this one. Either they will have poor arcade sales because there is no need to play it outside of the new factor. Or they suck it up release the arcade version knowing japan will eat it up if it is going to be the tournament edition but they can only have the content be exclusive for so long before it becomes unfair for the rest of the world to start Practicing with the rebalanced cast.
Ono is talking trash again, yay!
If he really is working on a new project, it better be a new Rival Schools! I really missed that game and would totally pass on MvC3 and SF x Tekken for it.
More love for Rival Schools, please. <3
This is just totally stupid. Now one of few things will happen.
a.) Capcom is gonna spit out a 3rd version of SFIV now after saying they would not.
b.) No one is gonna take the arcade version seriously now and the console versions are gonna be looked at as the one of choice considering tourney's are played on the consoles.
c.)It does get passed, it just wasn't to their liking how it was first pitched to them.
Honestly if capcom doesn't release the arcade updates as dlc/patches there is gonna be a huge sh!t storm from the players.
@65
NO! BUT THERE ARE NO PIRATES WHATSOEVER ON THE CONSOLES!
/sarcasm
Seriously, good way of looking at this.
I'm sick of the argument that "arcade owners need a way to make money first! What about the precious arcade owners??"
Screw the arcade owners. If you're DUMB enough to still try and operate an arcade business in 2010, you deserve to go bankrupt and have your family starve.
It's like feeling sorry for someone who owns a Koosh Ball store, or a Blockbuster video.
#67 tell that to Henry Cen, anyways my two cents is that it is coming maybe Ono's way of trying to sell it to the higher ups I don't know just sucks or maybe they saw the balance changes and went Bison's U2 a charge motion now oh hell no.
Also to chickenwings yes to Guard Meter this game really needs to speed up a bit.
#31: "I don't think Ono is lying or telling the whole truth. DLC is going to depend mostly on costume pack sales. Unfortunately sales have been a bit mediocre. Costume pack sales greatly exceeded expectations, to the point that additional packs were commissioned. This was publicly stated on a number of occasions, and documented in news stories available on this website.
It will be released several months after an arcade release. Just like movies in the theaters, you exhaust one crowd and move on to the next, maximizing profits. Easy breezy. Business 101.
this is just a marketing ploy
porting content over to any other platform is very easy, the little effort required goes into integrating the new characters with trials and story
if people with no access to the dev tools can port Alt2 costumes and even new models (DeeJay) to PC, imagine how easy it is for Capcom to port Yun & Yang to consoles:

They Were Doing It For The People Outside Of Japan I Mean Really Theyre Not That Stupid
I don't understand why people want more characters if all you see playing are Ryu and Ken.
The new characters will grow old fast on the players and will be going back to those two.
BTW, I think they will release a turbo version of SSF4 with all the additional characters since they know everyone will buy it...again.
@56: I seriously hope that you don't believe that the world would end before 2013. If you do, then you must be on drugs.
Anyway, I won't even be surprised if they bring out a 3rd disc based game featuring all of those things that they've been putting out on DLC already, including the upcoming features right now.
I seriously doubt that the AE content will ever see the light of day on the consoles. The whole reason they made the new stuff arcade exclusive in the first place was to give people an incentive to ACTUALLY GO TO AN ARCADE and spend money on something that would otherwise be an exact copy of a game they have at home.
Making it DLC would make decent money in one sitting yes, but with the arcade cabinets, they have to potential to make more money over a longer period of time depending on the AE's shelf life.

all comin out on Super Street Fighter 4 Turbo
just watch
lol, if now people in the US knows how people in Japan felt about SSF4 being console exclusive. It doesn't matter though since people in US have always played the latest console version while people in Japan has always played the latest arcade version. Your local scene will survive.
you people do know its only a matter of time till the ae version comes.they also did some balancing with the current people.the community would be split if they didnt bring it to console
think we have to be grateful to ono for keeping us up 2 date like that, they will not be another disc release as ono said sf4 is finished now, but to the people moaning about another disc release, ea keep dishing out the same s*it every year with fifa and people run to it £40 a pop and lap it up, where as capcom give us 1 update for half the price and people b*tch about it?
lol @ the rubbishy shovelware characters Jiz and Goo not getting the nod to fleece Live and PSN 'tard kiddies of their allowances!
Seems Crapcom DO have some scruples after all...!
they dont benefit too much off AE release...you realize retailers will buy the cabinets from capcom then thats it..all the quarters go to the arcade owner, sure they might buy another cabinet or two but in the long run, potential thousands of people on 360/ps3 paying for the DLC is much more money
Like most people here, I doubt it.
I mean, really, would they leave all the console players in the dust and only keep arcade players up to date?
That literally sounds like throwing money and popularity out of the window.
If Capcom decided not to release the current AE content it only means they are prepping more content for a future release. One thing that Ono keeps saying is that there will not be a new (by name) version of SF IV but this does not mean there won't be a crap load of new content coming our way as DLC. They can't afford to release DLC now at the same time as the arcade. Once the arcade is out, and after MvC3 starts dropping from the charts there WILL be new SSF IV content for sure.
Don't care about the new characters, just patch up the old ones.
Like Eventhub said it's highly doubted that Capcom USA would reject its AE DLC entirely because they didn't want it in the console version. They know the arcade scene is basically dead in most places in U.S. so not having this available for DL is a stupid business decision. No one needs to know about business to know it's a dumb move. Unless Capcom USA is trying to revive the arcade scene with this move. Who knows. It's a big gamble in my opinion. Either you successfully revive the whole SF arcade scene across the U.S. or you'll be pissing off the mass majority of your SF fans with this move and risk people not buying SFxT or whatever comes before that.
I couldn't less about this game any more. To me its already out of date and dry. Will be trading it in for MvsC3.
by te time they decide to release that sh!t, SfxT will be maybe months away. there is a disturbance in the force. i sense a plot they will try to milk us again
this is wha we are in their eyes
everyone STFU, be patient and stop making assumptions that u clearly dont sht about! that is all
Any real Street Fighter player only plays on arcade anyway. There are too many cheaters and pirates on consoles. Games on consoles = bad business. Fighting games are made for arcade, not consoles. Buy a cabinet if you want to play the game.
Now console players, how is it to be on the other side of the fence?
If they do not make this DLC I aint buying it simple as that Ill be still playing super.
@114 "If they do not make this DLC I aint buying it simple as that Ill be still playing super."
and u will be online by yourself lol
Yep, this is definitely a PR trick. I'm not even remotely worried about not getting the update for download. They have to make their money on the Arcade version for a little while before they just circumvent its release with console DLC. It's just good business.
It has to be somewhat tricky though when you think about all the balance adjustments and changes the arcade version will get vs what we're all playing now. Is it going to be an expansion type thing that upgrades standard SSF4 to the Arcade Edition, pay per character(or character packs). A lot of developers always bitch(especially with MS) about the certification process they have to go though(and pay for)with any DLC/update. It could be as simple as Ono wanting everyone to get the balance changes for free and the bosses telling him they have to make a profit on every piece of DLC.
I don't see how they could even try to pitch us another boxed game(especially at full price?) when SSF4 was released at a lower price point even because of how soon it was out after SF4.
No racism, but that's why American corporate leaders are pieces of ****.
The weird thing is they made the AE promotional art with only yun and yang. I hope they will release more characters but it seems unlikely if you take into account the release date and artwork surrounding it. I also think if it is released as DLC then they will most likely add more characters to prolong it even further and raise the price.
I'm not convinced this is just a PR stunt. I reckon what happened was Ono wanted to give us AE as DLC for free, given that it will devide the community between arcade and console fans again unless everyone has access to it, there was a noteable negative reaction when SSF4 was announced to be its own retail game, and it's not really enough of an upgrade to warrant charging for it. The higher ups at Capcom on the other hand, will just see it as a possibility to make more money out of SF4, and if there's money to be made damned if they're not gonna try and make it...
The way I see it, there are a couple of realistic outcomes; either they'll end up releasing it on a disc (called SSF4 Turbo or whatever) with a load of extras on top of the AE additions (new modes, costumes, endings, rival stages, galleries, etc.), though this would kind hinge on there being at least another 4 characters yet to be revealed which I'm less than 100% convinced of at this stage. Otherwise (probably the lesser of 2 evils), they'll release it as a free DLC with all the AE re-balancing and everything included, but you'll have to pay to unlock the AE edition characters even though you technically already have them as is the case with the costumes at the moment.
Only time will tell though.
@ the people who keep saying that more new character would fade out because everyone still picks there old characters. STFU! Just because you use the same as you did in vanilla doesn't mean everyone else does. Most may but some people are bored over the rest of them.
If they make a new Project and its another version of SFIV, I wont respect Capcom the way i used to anymore. If they gonna make a New Capcom Project, let it be a Vs. Series, A Brand New Series, or and Old Series like Captain Commando, Strider, or a new Final Fight.
I swear, you guys really love to cry when something doesn't go your way... like little kids.
I'm not being an a**hole or anything, but damn, you can't always get what you want!
Guess that means they're working on Super Street Fighter IV Turbo for consoles? Capcom needs to realize that if they keep pulling the same old s--t they did in the 90s then it's all gonna come back in there face and fans will have to wait another 10 + years for a SFV! F--k you Capcom!
well it'll suck if it doesn't actually happen.... all the changes they have slotted would make people play completely different game on the arcades as opposed to the console. that's kind dumb if you ask me, and many people will be PO'ed, leading to not many of them not playing the arcade one.
@83 Can you read? Following that statement I wrote (joke, obviously) because I figured idiots like you wouldn't get that it was a joke if I didn't specifically state it was. Yet you still managed to miss that glaring point when I did state it bluntly. Way to go, now I have to figure out how to dumb down my jokes even further for the dense internet crowd.
Ono's proposal: Free DLC in order to avoid a split in the ssf4 community.
Executives: Fu(k this sh!t. Makes no sense at all!
Ono's proposal 2: We charge $30 for DLC. We got these suckers by the balls, now all thats left is to reel em in!
Executives: Fu(k!ng brilliant! APPROVED
@125 i totally agree....americans man...what can u say....
Retarded. They better make AE as DLC or something, so console players can get in on the action. I dunno about US/Japan, but I'm pretty sure that in the rest of the world, number of console players are vastly superior to arcade players... Screw the idea of Capcom making tons of money with Costume Packs and possible with AE as DLC, it's a question about the huge playerbase that don't get to play AE for various reasons.

D: sad news... KEEP PUSHING ONO. or stop lying about how you already know whats going to happen... either way get it to us!
Don't give up Ono. You have our continued support. You can do it.
Anyone who believes this little ruse probably also believed that Darth Vader/Yoda was not coming to Soul Calibur 4 as DLC even though they had a freaking blank spot for it.
The news that AE updates are coming to consoles will be about the most obvious announcement when it is made, unless you are gullible.
Lol,CAPCOM don't f*ckin' cares about your awful Darkstalkers
lol its funny... its pointless to show the new characters and what they can do, if most of the ssf4 players will never get to use them... its like window shopping all u can do is just stare... really an truly if thats the case and we cant get the new characters.. stop showcasing them... mostly i think ono just like screwing with ppl and want to see the reactions from the ssf4 players... BS like that turn me off from the game. u know whats a good idea if anything new is to come out.. let us know 2 weeks before when its to be released, dont want no stupid run around BS.... keep the stupid info to yourselves until release time

Speak for yourself. I love Yun but they aren't getting my money for a brand new disc.
what is so wrong with buying a brand new disc? seriously people, that would mean lots of new fighters, stageas and new content, i already played vanilla street fighter 4 for like 200 hundred hours and ssf4 for like 150, i cant ask more for my money than that, and a new edition would give me even more, thats freaking awesome in my book and i would gladly pay 59.99 for it, in fact thats one of the best news posible to me.
Tell me this. How can they not release it? They are pushing SSF4 as a tournament leader . How can you have 2 completely different version being playing in tourney's ?
If they want to keep their game as one being played seriously then everyone has to be on the same playing field
What they need to buffer is Juri's taunt moves. Especially the taunt that launches her into the air. When she gets launched into the air, her dive kick is JUST SHORT of reaching the opposition. This has happened on a NUMBER of times. Her dive kick seems to land just IN FRONT of the opposition and often lands right into a fireball. WTF?!? That dive kick SHOULD reach all the way across the screen and NOT stop just shy of the opponent. I hate landing in front of a fuhking fireball that( in my opinion) really should not have connected. UGH.......
I am only ranting......Sorry. But I really feel like Juri is one of the cooler street fighter characters to come out in a long time. She could use a little more health too lol. Come on !!! She's a KICKER !! LOL. Anyone who knows anything about martial arts, knows that Tae Kwon Do requires a helluva lot of endurance lol. That is all...... I am going back into my cave now .......It is time to feast on newbie meat lol.
Ono's one crazy Deutchbag....He's just messing around......Expect a DLC with new characters & stages and what not.....After the arcade edition of course.....Dont think fans will b happy about buying a new disc and earning there trophies all over again...Especially if its gonna cost another 40-50 bucks...Unless they put all the new characters and stages and AEs and costumes on a brand new disk for $59.99 then i think capcom has a deal....I guess iL earn my trophies all over again...Just have to wait after the arcade edition comes out...Just wait & see
@115: No, I will be online with him. As will casual players who don't care enough to try to be "up to date". Beat-em-ups have to work damn hard to compete with FPS games in terms of market share, and making it so that people who are only kind of into it have to spend more or go back to FPS games will ensure that they go back to FPS games. If they wanna re-use the SF4 engine on a game that also re-uses many of the SF4 models (thereby being able to sell well for relatively little development cost), they could simply continue developing SFxT. If they wanna increase their market share, they have to pick a release and properly get behind it, not undercut its market saturation with a slightly newer version every few months.
SSF4 was a good buy because it was drastically cheaper than the original and was better in almost (it didn't have some of the old gameplay modes) every way. Unless they plan on selling this hypothetical SSF4T at around 15 bucks new, they can't really say the same for this one.
I will (GUARANTEED WILL) buy DLC characters or DLC game modes; I will NOT buy an entirely new disc at (I guesstimate) €25 for 2 new characters and some tweaks. And quite frankly, Capcom aren't going to spend money developing any more characters when they have plenty of new games to work on, so either they're going to try a disc release with not enough changes to warrant it, they're going to release Yun, Yang and the few rebalances as DLC, or they're done with the SF4 series and SFxT is the new big thing.
#144. Do you notice that when you say something about Street Fighter or Poison, or Street Fighter X Tekken to Ono, he's all like Oh, i'll ask the Executives about that, but when you Mention Darkstalkers IV or Capcom vs. SNK 3, he's all like, "Um, i don't have time to make that right now, or I'll work on it in the Future, or im concentrating on Street Fighter X Tekken or all this other load Crap". Don't expect Darkstalkers IV or Capcom vs. SNK 3 anytime soon.
Although i want both Darkstalkers IV and Capcom vs. SNK 3 very much.
DLC's coming. Relax guys. Capcom has so many new and upcoming games im looking forward too.....SFxT FTW!
I agree...Put a end to sf4 and give us DLCs of what the fans want.More stages-A few more characters & AEs...Wanna start playing a new strategic fighting game already....Still looking foward to MvC3...SSF4 will be here for along time-TRUST ME

It's people like this that makes Capcom think their justified in what they do. Not in just what they do but whatever they decide to pull.
May they continue to beat your hollow head like a drum.
Kenshiro-----I like what u said-But for$59.99---Theres other games out there instead of buying this game for a third time..Even tho im a huge sf fan.
@ Kenshiro
If street fighter is ever going to be more of a sport, what's wrong with have an iteration every year? Madden and ilk are doing just fine that way. If you don't like the mechanics of SF4 series, there are plenty of other fighting games out there just like there are plenty of different sport games out there.
It's not that fighting games should be more like sport games but why not? It's definitely something that is constantly touch upon but never fully explored.
I agree....You certainly wont see me buying a new disc just for one or two characters that I might use ...... No thanks. In this kind of economy, I would rather use that money to buy a game that doesnt like to re-invent itself continuously.
@ 163
"It's people like this that makes Capcom think their justified in what they do. Not in just what they do but whatever they decide to pull"
y dont u STFU and keep buying those yearly call of duty's & fifa games 4 top dollar making Ea & Activision even more powerful, swear people like u & a lot of twats on here wont be happy untill capcom goes bust
Good... i hope they will never be released... actually i want them to threat you exactly how they threaten the PC community for 1 year.
Fine. Bring on SSFIV Turbo/Arcade Edition, I'll buy.
You have to love how EA, Take-Two(2K), Activistion etc. can get away with putting put the same products with upgraded rosters, or new campaign mode, or a new song list, all at a premium price. But Capcom gets so much flak for doing the same thing at a lower price.
Please let someone tell me that CoD4 to CoD5 was any more of an upgrade than SFIV to SSFIV.
But the ones complaining, arn't even the target audience, so I guess it's no skin off my back.
Saw this comming 2 games ago for all you new comer's this is Capcom where talking about. Every Street Fighter Series has to become a new game been happing sense 1991. So just get ready in April 2011 to trade you SSF4 in to GameStop/Play-N-Trade again to get the New SSF4 AE/CE.
And don't lie you know you will buy it I know I will been in the Street Fighter scene for a long time you learn to deal with it. Well I wont buy it I'll just have one of my buddies give it to me for free that works at Game Stop so I get it free!!! Like I did with SF4 & SSF4
LOL > I TOTALLY AGREE with #172..... What else could the "NEW" proposal/project that Onosan is talking about ???I wont be purchasing it though. I am tired of being a play string for Capcom to pull around. When I was in my early teen years and had the money to blow on EVERY iteration of SF that they released, things would probably be different. But as it is now..... Got a house to worry about, cars, bills etc.... Sorry Capcom.. I am no longer your fool and you will only get my money once. Not like I'm missing out on anything.... Mortal Kombat next year!! woot woot
Mortal Kombat9............ &Hopefully Killer Instinct in the works

yeah because you would have such a bad time playing a version of street fighter with more content, because you wouldt buy it right? im just supporting something i like and guess what, capcom will keep beating your hollow head too even if you dont like it, if you prefer spending 20 bucks for few pieces of content instead of 40 for a full game with tons of it is your choise, but dont insult other people because you have no sense of whats better.
Okay kiddies, a little lesson in logic:
First and foremost, what is CAPCOM?
CAPCOM is a business. Businesses are all about making TEH MONEYZ.
Now how does Capcom make TEH MONEYZ? They develop/produce games, distribute them, and then make TEH MONEYZ. They pick the most efficient medium through which to distribute their games, ????, and then profit.
I know what you're about to ask:
HOW DO U DO DAT? I R TEH STUPIDZORZ, HERRRRRRRP DERP DERP DERP DERRRRRRRRRRP!(This is the sound Sand People make)
It's simple. Think for a moment on what the most efficient medium to reach the maximum amount of customers is, and then you'll slap yourself for believing that we console gamers won't get AE DLC.

"If street fighter is ever going to be more of a sport, what's wrong with have an iteration every year? Madden and ilk are doing just fine that way. If you don't like the mechanics of SF4 series, there are plenty of other fighting games out there just like there are plenty of different sport games out there.
It's not that fighting games should be more like sport games but why not? It's definitely something that is constantly touch upon but never fully explored."
Lol no Madden games are markedly different with every 2 releases. I'm not so much against Capcom releasing another game as I am against DLC being shot down. For a new disc there needs to be new stages and atleast the 6 characters rumored plus rebalancing.

"y dont u STFU and keep buying those yearly call of duty's & fifa games 4 top dollar making Ea & Activision even more powerful, swear people like u & a lot of twats on here wont be happy untill capcom goes bust."
Wow what a dickheaded post. I don't like watching soccer let alone buying the games to just collect dust. And I only have 1 Call of Duty game. If you wanna continue fellating Capcom by purchasing ugly ass alts and whatnot that's your business. Don't forget to castrate yourself and present it as an offering to the higher ups.

This tool bag would continue to buy game discs if Ono promised the entire SF roster.
ROFLMFAO. There's no reasoning with people like this. Wow it must be grand having mommy and daddy spoil you rotten!

Never fully explored? I guess KOF 94-2006 is just my imagination then. Fighting games would be oversaturated and uninteresting if released that frequently. I'm fine with SF mechanics each series except EX...
>.< why why not let DLC now we have to waste our money to buy another disc >.< makes no fair why not Dlc instead
its another disc for sure, and it wasnt capcom who said there would be no other ssflv game disc. ono said he didnt want to make another, but capcom doesnt care they want money plus they're the ones who give ono his pay check.
Yeah I'm annoyed. If I had my own game being given rules I didn't agree with, I would've FADC'd into their face XD
But yeah damn, this sucks. If they bring out the Arcade Edition to Troc in London then that'd be sweet.
Would like to play Yang and Yun
I told you so. http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2010/oc...
If the higher level staff dont comfirm to ono that the character dlc won't be coming to consoles they can all go and eat a d**k, Im so hyped for these new characters to come to consoles, f**k these shi**y arcades i want to play at home and online with these new char... Im starting to get pi**ed off and really losing intrest.
How is it a surprise that the AE won't be DLC? I think Capcom would rather disc that IF they plan to give it.
