Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Simple Mode mode video walkthrough

Posted by Jonathan 'Catalyst' Grey • October 9, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. PDT
ChunLi noticed a video up on GameTrailers with Seth Killian running through Marvel vs. Capcom 3's simple control mode.

Unfortunately, you don't get to see Seth's hands as he demonstrates what you can do with this new control scheme, but he does a great job of narrating as he executes the various moves with Dante with a single button press.

This is what makes most my non-fighting game friends more inclined to play a fighting game like Super Smash Bros. other than fighters like Street Fighter.

I don't like the way fighting games become more and more "casual". It's okay to make a game "nonelitist" but keep it at a level where you can still see develop a lot. Street Fighter took the first step with its lenient input system, but this "one button special" is the next setp. I'm afraid what it'll be at some point in the future. I allready dislike this feature.

Wow, they are implementing it perfectly. I love it. This game is going to be f*cking spectacular, for everybody.

The industry as a whole should stop showing so much damn love to noobs.

The gaming gangsta in me is tired of it.

@MCseblo

There's been other simple mode videos? This is the first I've seen. Explanations? Yes. Videos? Not that I was aware of.

It shouldn't really matter that you can't see Seth's hands since he plays cross-handed, though I guess being Simple Mode that could be a different story.

Easy modes like this have been included as early as MvC original, its 100% nothing new and won't compromise the game in any way.

zUkUu they only have the ability to access 1(from what it looks like going to be there simple Double fireball motion) super they still have to build meter and only have about 4 special moves, if that's really bugging you then you worry way to easy

Ah beginner/simple mode, in the words of Rachel Alucard from BlazBlue.

"The so-called Beginner/Simple mode is a delightful new addition designed for... a certain class of person. It is most perfectly suited for persons unfamiliar with fighting games, persons incapable for performing combs and infants."

Yea that sounds about right lol j/k naw man everyone should be able to play, whatever their level and when this game comes out its going to be legendary, I just need Zero now to join Dante and Magneto for dream team ^^

Thank god for this! None of my friends would play SFIV with me because their casual players or because they just got their asses handed to them. Thanks to this it'll be much more even playing ground!
