Didn't Seth say they were having trouble balancing MODOK? I really hope he's not top tier with all those shields and such. If I'm going to see he same person every time I play online, I don't want it to be this ass-face.
All of the other reveals were pretty good, though. I never played Ghosts ' Goblins, but Arthur's playstyle seems interesting. Spencer seems like a higher-tier Spider-Man and Magneto is more balanced, it seems.
M.O.D.O.K's theme reminds me of Ghostbusters :o Anyways, even though most comic book fans hate him, I kinda always like MODOK...although it's mainly due to how ridiculous he looks. Regardless, he looks pretty awesome so far. His opening quote was made of so much cheese though lol. Magneto's look good too. His voice...will take a little getting used to, imo.
Arthur, Spencer, M.O.D.O.K, and Magneto...definitely the most interesting set of reveals so far...
Can't wait til more info on Magneto comes out. Hopefully he is super fast like MvC2, there is a good chance but that video has very little movement. MODOK looks just like Petshop from JoJo's but I doubt he will be that broken.

MODOK is definitely the crazy broken character, he feels somewhat awkward, but sort of interesting. Why worry how broken Magneto would be MODOK is much more broken, look at the combo he does near the end--it's very cheap and broken. And a 98 hit combo and pooping out glowing triangles, this character will be very cheap. For some reason, it would seem fit to put either Urien or Gill in the game to balance MODOK off.

From what we have seen Spidey zip to you from full screen at any angle combo into web swing combo out of web swing into a launcher air combo into web swin air combo out to a dunk then use an assist to pick you up and go riight back into a launcher or just go for the hyper web throw. Just because we don't have videos of the highest level of execution/creativity/we have seen 2 videos of Spencer doesn't mean we can easily guess how characters will fall in tiers so far. Lets chill and say things for some characters look powerful, easy to start, or effective at certain times. I hate to keep going back to the same reference but if MvC2 got these videos for every character we would be saying Juggernaut ruins the game forever due to 3 hits into level 1 super = ko. However his all around game which was discovered in actual gameplay really hurt him overall.
It looks like Modok's 98 hit super was a counter to what Trish was trying to do. Being that he said "Nice Power!" and it looks like a juiced up Super of the other beam super he had. Maybe her projectile gave him a power boost or something?

Wow. How could they make such a vaunted character of not only the fighting series but of the marvel universe so... horrible in this new iteration? Horrible new theme music, horrible new voice actor, they KILLED Magneto. Yes, we all wanted him back in MvC3 but we didn't want him piss poorly done. Not to mention that second rate chosen-at-random-from-names-in-a-hat selection of MODOK. WHO the hell decided he'd make a good choice? Both Capcom and Marvel are seriously starting to disappoint.

No, you are not the only one who wants RED HULK. I was expecting him because they said something about showing current Marvel Characters. People would say he's like the Hulk, but the funny thing is he's actually 100% different other than super strength. Red HULK is more different than Green Hulk, compare to X-23 to Wolverine (different genders but the same exact powers). Red and Green Hulk powers are completely different other than Super strength. Just saying that if someone else read this..

You know MODOK isn't a huge surprise considering that Marvel has been using him a recent series of stop-motion comedy vids. They're pretty fun to watch, actually.
M.O.D.O.K. is not the broken character. It's a ruse... the shield won't be very effective on rush down characters that get passed his projectiles and his health is sub par at best.

Since noone has noticed how MODOK's laser hyper move works, it looks like he has some sort of charge system like dormammmu, in the character trailer when he does it, his forehead was glowing purple, and he said max power, in the gameplay there was no glow and he just shot a lazer, kthxbai

FIGURED IT OUT! It's the move where he says, "Anaylize Juice" that charges MODOK's forehead. His forehead glows when he does that move. He hits Tron with it twice in his trailer, once right before the cut to him hitting Dante' with the super so you don't get to see it well, then again towards the end but the camera pans up and you don't get to see it well again. But it's there.
Magneto is awesome especially with his Lv3 Gravity Squeeze... amazing. MODOK is purely awesome especially with a Hyper Combo that reaches 98 hits... can it pass 100 maybe I don't know but I'm liking it.
and by the way what Magneto says at the begining, in my opinion, shows that in the story he will probably be fighting as a third party, but will probably fight against the other bad guys because he wants to keep the world alive so it can be the way he wants it

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Had around about 59 characters so we should only expect alot of characters in MvC3

@#80: Totally agree. And they're expecting many clone &/or obscure characters from the last MvC game to be back in this one? As well as many X-Men characters like last time? Fat chance that's gonna happen, especially when the Avengers are more popular than they are now.
Plus the reason WHY there are so many X-Men characters & WHY there were such a larger cast in the last MvC game was because most they were copied/pasted off from X-Men: Children Of The Atom through regular MvC 1 (That's about 42 characters altogether). Not only that, Cable, Marrow, & ANOTHER wolverine were added (with no Avenger characters) & 11 more new Capcom characters were added into the roster.
This time around, we'll be looking at more Avenger characters & less X-Men characters this time around. And don't expect any more of those Ryu/Ken/Akuma team ups, either (say goodbye to those).

I knew it, He's a projectile heavy character, Low movement speed who has traps, also has a better(smoother and easier to control) version of Ruby's charge super(which is awesome) however his main attraction seems to be his traps who seem to be either timed or based on a few hits, I don't see him lasting that long in competitive play unless something really amazing is shown by Seth.

I have a couple reasons to believe that there will be 40+
characters in the game.
1. In an interview with gamespot seth said that they had announced around 50% of the characters by the time they announced x 23 and tron bonne which brought the roster up to 20.
2. Kensk from NeoGaf forums said that there will be more than 40 characters in the game. This man is to be trusted as he leaked the news of mvsc 3 before it was ever announced as well as juri and hakan before they were announced

MODOK needs mad tuning. He looks fair but that damage output is insane. Marvel being all Nazi-mode is going to ruin the game's balance since they are more focused on character representation than balance.

i just hope all the characters left for reveal are girls on the marvel side, only x-23 is the girl on marvel side, while marvel have the greatest women characters from both companies, cmon jean grey/phoenix, storm, psylock, squirrel girl, black cat, elektra, kitty, EMMA FROST, Marrow, that Marvel Girl, MYSTIQUE, Just to name a few, any of this in my opinion would be a great addition to the lacking girl side of marvel.

for anyone that thinks MODOK took tron's meter away...i thought so too but watch it again, it's just video editing. the MODOK can't take meters away the editor just cut to another fight which happened to have MODOK doing the same move to dante with a super.

Admittedly, I know very little about her (she appeared during the period when I lost interest in comics...and even when I started reading them again a few years ago, I never really read much about her...), and it's very likely that it's reference to something that happened in the comics, but...could someone explain to me how she turns invisible? o.O'
Also, if Phoenix Wright SOMEHOW makes it in, and then SOMEHOW ends up being a decent fighting game character, She-Hulk has to be in - Lawyer Fight :3

@190: Gambit's cool an all, but they gotta restrict how many x-men characters there are. So far, we have Wolverine, X-23, and Magneto. Deadpool's in the X-Force too, so he technically counts. I wouldn't mind Gambit, but only if Rogue appears too. But then perhaps there are too many x-men characters :/ As for Dardevil, he could've been interesting. There are more interesting picks though imho. It IS a shame that the daredevil comics aren't getting much representation though, with Daredevil AND Hawkeye deconfirmed.
Also, people keep saying Magneto doesn't sound evil enough. Probably because he's not evil anymore, in the comics =)
I'm against MODOK being in MvC3, honestly I';d rather have an empty slot instead of him. He looks utterly idiotic, it's an eye sore to look at such an ugly model, and his playstyle looks overly defensive, just what MvC doesn't need, an OP looking character with a turtle complex.

Looking at it with a positive perspective there's a reason for those characters like MODOK to add something different to the gameplay. I don't care what people say, Magneto is better than before, his MVC 2 version felt a bit more generic- like the voice acting was a bit plain- sounds like the typical type of villain. He feels more alive on this one, plus Magneto is a professional and even a genius, the MVC 3 version sounds a bit more professional. I guaranteed, that the people who say that won't buy the game on this forum, will eventually buy lol. The game is awesome;take into account that Capcom is not just looking at ONE type of Audience, others have needs to...lol

Well knowing that the roster "maybe," slightly over 40 characters and that the plot is focusing on Wesker and Dr. Doom gathering Villains, it's almost inevitable that M. Bison is in the game. I know for sure there has to be a villain from the Street fighter series. Just my opinion,I would hope M.Bison would have his moves from MVC 2 and SSF4.(Psycho ball move AND Psycho crusher). Plus, still there's only one Capcom villain and only one Marvel girl,we'll just have to wait and see.
