Juanrock it's actually a pretty decent game(I almost platinumed it) it was dodgey at times but still handled well and was tons of fun especially coming off rearmed

I just saw Arthur's gameplay video and, honestly, i found him really realy interesting! But, I insist, that Spencer and MODOK (cannot believe it yet!) shouldn't make it in the final roster. In addition, the game needs more female characters! Especially from Marvel's side! PLZ Capcom, bring us Psylocke, Jean and Storm!

X-23 is a terrible written character, who is in this and other things for male fan service.
M.O.D.O.K is a beloved character in the comic book community, with decades of stories behind him(Come on, he was created by the King himself!). He is here as fan service for actual Comic Book fans.

We need more originals, not new blood that no one really cares about. Only good move here was Magneto, because it just wouldn't be a Marvel game without him (and so MvC2 riders could shut the hell up already) and probably Arthur.
My only concern would be if this would exclude a Megaman because he has one button projectiles and a wide-variety of tools, etc. Let us know already Capcom, the Megaman fans are dying over here.

Cornwad never said she did, the whole point of MVC3 and any other cross over is to make more money so saying that X-23 was added for her notoriety is like saying "you need water to live" it's a no brain-er. The fact she's in is fan pleasing(not exactly fan service in the terms I think of it,aka butt and bewbs) is alright, the fact she's an interesting character with a interesting twist makes it that much better
but I wouldn't just call her fan service especially when you look at how much they've done with her character in the game. No one even has a clue how MODOK plays and they are hating. As much as I want C. Viper and Urien I know I am not getting them(maybe Viper). Honestly, even though this Spencer has a lame hair-do the good one will be an alternate costume most likely. And Arthur's gameplay looks really good.

Okey. After digesting all new information, here's my opinion:
First of all,i'm a Marvel fan since Secret Wars II. Also i'm fan of Marvelvs.Capcom series. I finished Bionic commando 2009 and Bionic commando Re-armed.
After watched the Spencer gameplay i need to be honest. It's a good character. The only problem with him are two points:
1) Nobody wants a characters like him in the game, specially when you realized that other GREATS characters like Captain Command, Strider Hiryu, o Jin from cyberbots are not confirmed yet.
2) That dreadlocks Spencer. We all know that Spencer if the name of all characters from Bionic Commando games. Why capcom takes the worst Spencer instead this one?

I don't know. But still he is a great add to the game. Also Bionic commando 2009 it's a decent game. Good graphics, funny modes, and a medium-long game (i take 10 hours for the first walktrought).
Arthur. C'mon, he's great! finally playable in a vs. game. He's moveset remind's me at norimaro gameplay but better. Great add! is the funny character of this game.
Magneto: Okey, this one haves a problem. First of all, everyone knows that Magneto it's a Broken Character in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, overpowered and stuff. But, this does't mean it will be the same in mvc3. In Shoryuken most of the mvc2 pro players says, if magneto is in Mvc3, he not be the same...we know why.
Still, Magneto it's the most popular Mutant for those guys who don't read Marvel Comics. Deadpool (who also in my opinion does not deserve all the regular series he own), Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, etc.

M.O.D.O.K: In my opinion, the worst add for a vs. Game. This is the weird character that S-Kill says.
M.O.D.O.K is a villain and a great smart dude. In all he's story he does memorable things. The most recent is he alliance with others smart minds, like the Leader, Samson, Ghost,and others villains. kidnapped at guys like Richards, Dr. Doom, and Bruce Banner.
But...For a vs.game M.O.D.O.K is not a good add. Why? well, a head for a playable character? he's addition could means, probably no included others characters who REALLY DESERVED IT.

I first read about this announcement on Shoryuken, and everyone is genuinely excited about all the new characters.
Then I come over here, and see 99% scrubs whining and complaining about everything.
Just the fact that you fail to see how awesome MODOK's inclusion is in this game means that you have no taste, no sense of originality or humor, and are just a bunch of 18 yr old whiners. "whaaaaaa i want all the exact same characters from MVC2!!!"
Do you know how difficult it must have been for the designers to create MODOK in this game?? And figure out his moveset, balancing, art style, etc. etc. all based on a villain from the silver age of comic books. Just from the few pictures I've seen it looks F'ing genius.

I agree to an extent...sure he will be a projectile character that much we can see but we don't know what else capcom gave him they could give him kicks and punches that combo into some gdlk super who knows I'm just saying people should just wait and play the game for a period of time before they judge characters because these game demos don't prove anything they are just showing basics of characters and the videos we see of ppl playing aren't vids of ppl who fully understand the mechanics so we can't say who sucks until the game comes out

Doublef pretty much sums it up. Quit complaining, you don't have to play the character others will. That means it is not a wasted slot. Wasted slot arguments for a game like this are a waste of time. I already know people who want to use all of the characters they announced today. I have yet to see a character that has not made me say I want to try them. Stop complaining and just look forward to what comes next.

I'm probably going to get the game anyway, but I'm heavily disappointed and enraged that a perfect good character slot had to be wasted by MODOK, who for lack of a better word, looks like ASS.
Darts my favoirte character in marvel is Squirrel Girl and second favorite is Hank McCoy, the only dark and grim characters I like are Warmachine(love his solo stuff) Green Scar(the personality from Planet Hulk and world War hulk who's come back) and dark Beast(who is from the 90s).

You probably are spot on but this is mvc3 there is always something unexpected that can be put in it like dormammu is a zone god from what seth says but u can always walk up and play him rushdown it won't be as effective as his zoning but its another way to play...just cause u have an idea of how a character is gnna play doesn't mean he has to be played that way and doublef is right event hubs seems to be were the trolls and rejected scrubs crawl to after being bashed on srk I like ehubs as a site but when it comes to the people I feel like its where stream monsters unite

I'm excited for Spencer, regardless of the iteration that they used (I'm probably one of the few that doesn't mind it). They will probably be some Hazama comparisons, but he looks like a solid character. He will probably be on my squad.
Arthur looks fun; I liked playing with the lesser used characters in MvC2, so I might mess with around him.
Magneto is Magneto. Wasn't really a fan of him in MvC2 and my thoughts stand.
MODOK's design looks insane. This pick I never seen coming. It seems that he isn't going to rely on physical attacks as much, but who knows. I can't wait to see some video on him tomorrow.

I'm already liking Arthur right off the bat... Nostalgia with a side order of a remix. I love it!
Zangief and Bison were definitely reused art, but Jill and Mega Man looked brand new. Mega Man looked like the new Mega Man from Mega Man Universe, even. It is entirely possible that I'm mistaken, but it wouldn't make much sense to just post completely random characters around a Marvel vs Capcom 3 poster, especially when the random characters would be popular returning fighters with unique styles.
Newsworthy, in my opinion, it just needs a big bold RUMOR label.
Hooray, it finally happened. A character I am actually disappointed with. MODOK is one of the most retarded things I've ever seen, it's a real shame he's taking a spot that could have gone to... anyone Marvel has deconfirmed or will go on to deconfirm.
The others however, awesome. Arthur is one of the best additions so far. Capcom is awesome! Hoping for more characters tomorrow and Sunday.
I am glad they chose that Spencer, the game now has more diversity, plus that one is much more cooler looking, but he talks like Cody from SSF4.
Those who are disappointed will change their minds when they play the game LOL. I didn't like the Idea of the old Arthur, I actually like the Canon Spike version, but now that I see it, Arthur is awesome!!!! The only character I question is MODOK...
Marvel has all these popular characters @ their arsenal to add, Yet they pick Dormammu and ...MODOK?!? I mean really....MODOK?! These two made the cut over characters like : Ghost Rider, Blade, Black Panther, Daredevil, Silver Surfer, White Queen, or Beast even? Yet someone sat down and said 'naw dont add those characters, but MODOK would be COOOL!!!" .... *smdh*
Ive been impressed with the Capcom side so far, Aside from Trish and Amateratsu. But aside from Megaman, hopefully the next characters they reveal are a bit more badass, over 3 feet tall, or dont walk on four legs.

Spencer = ok i guess since capcom need someone to represent their bionic commando series, he's nothing special its just spider-man + scorpion for me... but i'll rather have Nero from DMC4 instead of spencer since he got also the Devil Bringer (similar to the bionic arm) and he can play like JoJo Bizzare Adventure style since he got the apparition of Yamato on his side!
Both those characters look ridiculously fun. I love the direction of this game. All the characters play so completely differently, unlike Street Fighter. More akin to Blazblue or Guiltygear.

These are professional game designers; no one in this thread has any idea how to even start something like that. They wouldn't put him in if he was going to suck.
Character appeal is heavily linked to how much fun you can have while playing a character and how well the character feels like themself (generally of course some people use other reasoning like looks only). What is when you play MODOK you can zone in such an interesting way and bait out moves making you feel like you have calculated all possible outcomes like MODOK would in the comics. What if his playstyle is really unique and quirky and goes beyond the 2 pictures we have seen so far one of which is 2 MODOKS trading hits which tells us nothing and the other looks simply like a grab. Heck if all we saw was Amaterasu's grab we would assume wind teleporting was a large part of her game. When they show another cool trailer probably tomorrow lets make sure we remember all of the people who complained today that way we can discredit their reactionary illogical outbursts based on next to no infirmation in future eventhubs complaint explosions.
Hope we get bison, we need another good capcom villain and other then dr willy i dont think there is anybody else that is as iconic. Would also be crazy if they had the nemesis from re3(but thats a long shot).

Well, we know not everyone is gonna be badass, but so far we have Chris, Dante, Trish, Felicia, Morrigan, Spencer, and Wesker is badass to the core, it is hard to get more badass than that, but if they really NEED more Capcom badasses I've got my suggestions (don't expect any to actually appear in MvC3 though, just DLC hopefuls):

While I do think MODOK is a strange choice, I'm sure he'll be a good character. Kinda like how Hakusho Daimao was weird for JP TvC, but was an amazing character.
As for the others? Oh my God they look awesome, though I do agree that it should have been RE-Armed Nathan Spencer or the classic Spencer from the NES/GB game.
Now I'm just hoping for a Rockman, preferably Shooting Star Rockman. (I'm probably the only person in the world hoping for this... T_T)
What sucks is the T rating they are going for totally kills the option of having any Tyrant in the game, because Nemesis would work too damn well in this game
You wouldn't expect Nemesis to look any worse than Onslaught's 2nd form...I mean at least his disgusting body isn't showing with the leather trench...then again, he would probably be best in his mutated form with tentacles so I guess...but this T rating sucks, no one is gonna buy this more than peopl at least a good 17 anyway

The only character here who is remotely random is MODOK (Who's awesome, and really famous in the Marvel world if you even take a remote interest), unless you're only 15 years old. This is one of the coolest reveals yet. I don't know why people complain so much about everything.

Marvel Super Heroes 2 would be badass, but only if they'd go oldschool and did high-res 2D sprites. BlazBlue looks sick as hell with their HD sprites.

On topic, I didn't care for Arthur at all, but he looks mad funny. Spencer is as random as it gets, and MODOK is someone I ain't ever heard of before, but I find him interesting. What can I say about Magneto?
He should have been announced before Doom. Magneto keeps the spirit of oldschool MvC alive. Broken or not he's as important to MvC as Ryu is to Street Fighter.

Why THIS spencer? Because unlike Author, Spencer from Rearmed does'nt have as many nostalgic moves as 2009 version.. How you expect to make a character from a game you can't reference enough info from?
But seriously it's not even his moves it's like people complaining about how he looks and thats not even the real reason. The 2009 game flops and everyone thinks because of this the look of spencer is a bad idea. Everybody only wants to be part of the no-fail crowd, thats their attitude.

Ah, Magneto. I was hoping you wouldn't make it in since here you are a buffed kick-ass super villian but in Marvel's universe, you have only a fit body but awesome usage of your magnetic powers. Your moves here are even barely magnetism. You may be Magneto by name but you will never be the real Magneto.
But hey, we have MODOK now too. Next, we'll have Professor X himself rocking that high tech chair of his. Uatu the Watcher? The big cloud that supposed to be Galactus from the latest Silver Surfer movie. The space is the limit.
There's a lot more than 4 more characters to reveal. Before these 4 were released, they said about half the cast was revealed. There's at least 10-15 more characters to go. Pay attention, noobs.

I guess this game will have special battle intros depending on each player's lead character.
For example, Spencer was talking about Stark's suit being bionic and Iron Man thought Spencer was too cheap to afford a whole suit.
Yeah you people need to quit whining about costumes and such.... they just showed spidey having alternates so its very possible other characters will too! And i think every character revealed so far has been a good choice... there are more slots people so quit crying about wasted spots.. everyone has their favs so no one is wasted... sheesh...

Ok... after watching Arthur's videos I'm sold on the little guy! Looks like an f*in blast to play as even if he is an odd character for capcom to pick. Magneto is of course an awesome awesome choice.
And the more I think about it the cooler I am with MODOK. He offers something very visually different for the marvel side and hopefully gameplay wise as well.

To be honest, I can care less about Arthur the Capcom side of the roster is getting kind of LAME to me with a few exceptions. These small characters are wack. I would have tolerated if they would have brought back Zero from Megman that they used in TvC. Where are the rest of the characters that people love by Capcom. Where is Strider, Gene(God Hand), Kenji(Red Earth), Donovan(DarkStalkers), Seth(Street Fighter4), Captain Commando, Jin Saotome(Cyberbots), Blanka(Street Fighter2), Jotaro(JoJo Bizarre Adventure)

What... are you stupid? They do not have time to scrap fully implanted characters and replace them. If you think they do you have no idea how f*in difficult it is to make games.
Besides, the only character I've seen that has received constantly terrible feedback is Spencer. Once people saw Arthur and MODOK in action the two were much more accepted. MODOK is a surprise but looks fun... and Arthur just freakin deserves a spot.
While Nathan might not be as cool as RADD, he did establish himself as the Scorpion of MvC3 by saying "Get over here!" during his special grab move in his gameplay video, which is kinda cool.
