@4 She parried Urien's c.hp for both hits which kept her suspended in the air. When she started to fall down she did he hp in the air (maybe mp).
She just did it so close to the ground and after two air parries that it looks different
@Ermac
Go **** yourself. YOU KNEW this was a tool assisted video yet you decide to stick your nose in here to be an pretentious chode.
For what purpose this video was made for (entertainment, not sure what uppity ass place you come from) it was pretty solid.
Ugh...had to get that out of my system. Off to the buffet.
I like these videos because it looks like the two actual characters fighting each other rather than players. & of course some of this stuff in impossible that's why it's tool assisted.
(I like how makoto grabbed K.O.ed his manhood, lol. These vids are cool, especially since I didn't play any of the SFIIIs *hides and protects self with flame-resistant suit*)
i love makoto's second ko. super art: taunt death palm
entertaining-but lets go all out no holds barred player vs player---dont understand this tool assisted crap but lets go back 2 the good ol days....
I think these are a good idea, but the actual execution comes off a bit short. I've seen more impressive REAL matches than this. They need to work a bit on the choreography if they want to do something like this, because as it stands now, even with tools the matches are less entertaining than a real fight.
@24 The person who made the vid pretty much has a program that does the inputs automatically. He set it so that it imitates button presses right on cue. These reactions would be near-impossible in real life so this is like a synchronized fight.
Tool-assisted is also used for game speed runs. If you ever wondered how so many people can perfectly make Mario Bros 3 jumps? Either they practice like mad or they Tool-Assist it.
THIS IS WHY I THINK URIEN WOULDNT BE GOOD FOR SSF4. HES JUST NOT ENTERTAINING AND APPEALING TO THE OVERALL CAST. HE LOOKS AND MOVES LIKE SETH. WE DONT NEED ANOTHER CHEESY CHARACTER! HE WOULD RUIN THE GAME IMO.
Meh. I dont get why it needs to be tool assisted considering all of that parrying (for the most part) can be done without tool assists.
Meh it was kinda interesting I am just more of a fan of real matches.
And LOL at a dude saying Ultra XDDDDD
@ LexX0ne718
first off urien came out first so technically seth is a knockoff from him, and 2nd seth has moves from alot of characters and isnt a cheesy charactr wat so ever,he taks skill to learn, and cuz u hate on him u must b a ryu player, so quiet down ya noob.
@30
The TAS's for 3S are pretty fun to watch. Mainly because it's just a character going to town on the CPU who's doing nothing.
@ LexX0ne718
Lol, allow me to add to the hate. SHUT UP! jk.
But Seth, if anything, copies Urien and Gill, since he came much later... and don't talk in caps it makes you sound special. SPECIAL IN A BAD WAY!
But Urien wouldn't fit into ssf4 IMO either, but for different reasons. It's just too hard to translate his gameplay. Just never call him cheesy, Urien is one of the most badass characters in SF history xD Gettin pounded by a half naked guy. Wait...
@ LexXOne First off the combos in sf3 were in some cases harder to pull off then sf4, and Urien would probably be good in SSF4.
@31 Also agree Seth takes some skill to learn, actually it's more patience and making less mistakes. Every mistake you make with Seth could cost you the game or a huge portion of your life.
Anywho that parry at the end during Urien's reflector while he was still attacking was hot was tight by Makoto.
nice post dude. lol i like the way i understood every single thing he said about her moves XD
btw the vids are fun to watch... very unrealistic but fun nonetheless. if you don't like them don't comment easy as that. oh makoto and her kaoken attack
(DBZ reference) :D i have to get one a day!
I don't feel like looking it up this late at night but Kuroda has done a similarily complex parry with reverse parrying in a reflector mix up. Also any of the great Hugo's can standing 720 so this stuff isn't really pure impossible things it just shows what the characters are capable of (I have seen most if not all of these things happen in at the very least "similar situations"). These videos show of interesting bits about 3rd Strikes engine and they do so rapid fire. Enjoy entertainment. It is a lot more fun than hating it.
Why would I need to be mad? Spend too much time on the internet much buddy?
Don't get salty for getting counter trolled for whining about the "realism". If you want "realism" then go play Fight Night or UFC. Simple solution. I'm just surprised how anal people like yourself can be about some video clearly made for entertainment. I'm just saying. Its a video game. Have fun, its not science class..
Can someone explain the low parries at 2:56-2:57. Why are the low parries crucial between the high parries?
^ The Aegis Reflector (SA3) hits both standing and crouching. So the hit pattern goes High low high low etc. So he has to parry according to that.
I think urien would b nice addition-Just dont think he would fit n.........I think seths a cheesy character-having stole some characters moves and what not---mayb capcom didnt have time 2 create a real formidable boss....Even tho i dont take seth likely-having grabs projectiles and shryukens & teleports...Still capcom has alot of choices especially creating a new boss like seth for sf4 & ssf4... I hope sf5 doesn't have another urien look alike .... el fuerte(FTW)
Did any other Urien player cringe when watching this video?
I mean, sure, we get it (damn you Cesar) you've got perfect execution because it's TA, but all the charge partitioned headbutts were painful to watch.
Take into account that Urien was mainly using MP and HP headbutts and the scripting for the fight shows the inexperience of both Urien and Makoto (Urien for exposing himself to massive punishment and Makoto for not capitalizing on any of it).
Flashiness is cool and all but at the expense of smart play, I'd have to draw the line there. It's like a shoto hitting with a fierce uppercut over and over again because you scripted it to happen. So yeah great you did it, but realistically would a real opponent have allowed this to happen?
I was expecting the Urien to do more complex corner juggles and FAS (unblockable) setups. Urien only did one FAS setup at the end that was escaped out of but on top of that... yes because he dashed forward first before doing his reflector he could confirm that Makoto did not quick stand from the throw, but I have 3 problems here:
1) It's character specific since some characters have a really slow quick stand where the dash would not give enough time to see that the opponent did not in fact quick stand.
2) Good FAS setups are those that force the opponent in to a FAS situation. Most often this is done by having the opponent be hit once by the aegis itself to prevent the option of quick stand for the opponent.
3) The Makoto should have quick standed after the throw. There's almost no reason not to. The only possible downside is if Urien opts for a dash over ground cross setup which bets on the fact that Makoto would quickstand. Even then, from the Makoto's standpoint in that situation having to deal with a possible sneaky ground cross situation would have been preferable to having to deal with a FAS setup to which Urien had 3 options. Urien player could opt for a mid attack forcing Makoto parry standing, the Urien player could opt for a low attack forcing the Makoto player to parry crouching, or the Urien player could throw Makoto since parrying is considered a neutral throwable state.
Any of those 3 situations, if Makoto took the wrong action, she takes "terrible, terrible damage."
@ Apollo13 i know urien came from 3rd strike. i played 3rd strike its a different game from ssf4 and seth is in that game so im sayin why waste a slot on a character whose similar.. i would like to have different style characters and u have no idea on who i use what does me not liking seth have to do with bein a ryu player? i use different characters pretty well.. i think he's a cheesy character bcuz every seth i encounter online does the same crap which gets annoying.. i like variety and i think thats what ssf4 needs not a character who has a few moves to exploit which makes the game boring and repetitive which i think urien would fall into the same category. CHEESY!!! just looking from a broader perspective...
@ Mr pavy u sound upset at "my opinion" lol i dont only use shotos. my favorite character is vega/claw then fei-long. so u sound like a noob u dont know what ur talkin about! Not everyone is gona like seth or urien and i think hes dumb.. SO DEAL WITH IT! is that special enough for u?
i dont get these matches... they are not very special or impressive to me... sense?
