Seasons Beatings Redemption takes place next weekend, Oct. 15 - 17, and will feature Daigo Umehara, Justin Wong, Momochi, GamerBee and many other top players battling it out. Hit this link for last year's results.
They could've hired a 12-year-old Ken flowchart user and he/she would do a better job conducting that interview with Justin. That chick's abysmal...
I could not get through mor than 5 mins. That girl sounded like she was at gunpoint ......
Man what the ****. That chick hadn't read the questions even once before they recorded that interview. Nevertheless, I have a better opinion of Wong now. We need more interviews with famed players. Only part I disliked is him looking up to himself. That's just plain cocky. But I guess you need that to be a winner *points at Kuroda*
I really liked where he talked about how anyone can beat anybody. Specifically how he loses to Daigo but he beat Ryan Heart, but Ryan Heart beat Daigo. Lots of people don't really acknowledge that kinda stuff and just go on a hate rampage. Really informative interview, good stuff. ^^
to me justin wong is like the george w bush of the street fighter community n thats why i dont like him...... i hate him more than all the people out do all together lol.............. the beast lives on
jwong always has great things to say.. and does great commentary.. but every scrub on this site still hates him
@10 n your the only one that keeps on dick riding him lol
Looks like a bottle full of piss. Its a cool interview. Can't wait for marvel 3!
respecting justin as a player doesn't make u a dick rider.... but hating on ANYONE for no reason does make you an idiot....
Good interview. I liked hearing the breakdown of why Justin used Fei Long in the last season's beatings against Daigo and why he stuck with Rufus in their first to ten.
Justin has been playing a lot of Cammy lately and I wonder if he'll use her against Daigo when/if they play in this tournament.
@Struggs: I'd doubt he'd be as enthusiastic to use her after seeing how Sako got dominated in GG.
Is the interviewer learning to read? Dear god...seriously also is this the best shot they can do BEFORE uploading it to youtube?!? Were they on a tight budget where they can't spend more time on perfecting the interview?!? Jesus Christ this is sad.
its rarely that we see player THIS intimately answering questions or even talking, lets appreciate what we have.
LMAO at the 1st few seconds.. J.wong chuckled a bit prob thinking "..am I smarter than a 5th grader?"... LMAO.. decent interview
The thing is it's obvious she didn't read the questions before hand. She is always using a monotone serious tone when asking the questions, even if it's a really silly question (i.e. "are you going to be a douchbag now?" XD)
And to make things worse, she always answer with a really annoying "Okay...". It's like she's not even listening to him or doesn't understand/care what he's talking about. I'd rather see someone who actually knows something about street fighter interview top players.
@ kidkash. whats your problem? cant stand that these "g oo ks" are the best at your favorite game. you sound like one of these whiny f ags that rage quits and gets salty after losing and wants to start a fight. beat it you coward.
@ DynaDASH:
What are you? Her bf? Please...when you put the amount of effort this girl and the rest of her crew did towards the interview they deserve to be criticized. We're not asking for Brian Williams (Dateline NBC) type quality. Put more interest in what you're asking. Seriously I bet she doesn't talk like that towards her friends or family. Call me what you want, I'm standing by what I just said.
Hey, how come it says "video has been removed." How do I watch this? Even when I try to watch it at youtube it says the same.
The vid was removed by the guy who uploaded it... and IIRC it was because people were insulting the girl a bit too much...
The guy who removed the vid stressed that it was not planned on her part, nor had she done anything similar beforehand... she was simply nervous and shy/timid...
It`s a shame, I never got to see the interview... people nowadays lack manners... you`re getting this stuff for free... if you don`t like it then stop watching and do something else...
it's pretty plain that she was a poor interviewer. it's nothing personal and i appreciate that ppl went to the trouble to do this in the first place. but once it's done, if u know there are quality issues with the recorded video, just get someone to transcribe the interview and post it. i'm surprised the person who posted the video didn't realize it would attract some negative comments regarding the interviewer in the first place.
the quality bar has been raised b/c of the community's past efforts ppl. gootecks, juicebox etc are obviously amateur productions, but they do show some minimum level of quality. release things that you can be proud of. the video of this interview isn't something to be very proud of. it has good information, but it's obvious that execution is off. review your work, and if it's not up to snuff, extract what you can and think about how to do it better next time.
I like all the hate this interviewer is getting considering most of you guys are such chick magnets *sarcasm
seriously the misogynistic attitude in the community is hilarious considering most you only seen a pussy in a mirror.
and yeah the interview wasn't great but I doubt it was all her fault. you guys need to be realistic considering most women could careless to talk about SF out of all the things in the world to converse about.
hang out with women for once
Alright guys, it's time for some real talk.
I didn't watch this interview. I wanted to, but I put it off until today, and it's clearly been taken down. I don't know how the interviewer acted or what was asked, but I do know what the community response has been.
If an interview is poorly done, you leave a comment saying that the interview was poorly done. I don't care if the interviewer was a woman or a man - I will leave the comment claiming that the interview was poorly done. If the interviewer seemed ill-informed or ill-prepared, I will also comment on this fact. This is something that should be done no matter what, and it has nothing to do with sex.
From what I can tell, this woman gave a poor interview, was ill-informed, and was ill-prepared. As a result, many people posted comments based around this fact, which in turn caused her to pull down the video. This is a good thing because it has taught her that we expect quality, and if you cannot deliver quality, there is no point in presenting anything. This has nothing to do with the interviewer's sex.
Tokyobassist, for example, is being incredibly disrespectful to the interviewer. Despite admitting that he did not enjoy the interview, he claims that we must "be realistic" and consider that "women [don't care] about SF". Tokyobassist (and others like him/her) are being incredibly sexist. He/she is treating the interviewer differently because of her sex. She had the ability to perform well, and she did not.
I'd like to remind you all of Adam Sessler's performance at EVO. He performed abnormally poorly. Nnobody expected him to know the intricacies of the game, but he didn't even come informed enough to know how the rounds system of the game worked. As a result, there was some minor, yet justified, community backlash. If Morgam Webb had done the commentary, there would have been the same backlash. The fighting game community, as a whole, is not sexist. We call it as we see it, and if you are giving someone more leeway because of their sex (like Tokyobassist), then you need to do some self-evaluation.
This is unbelievable. People act like they paid $100 for this or something. I see why so many people hate the street fighter community. Times like this I am ashamed to be a part of it. So many elitists that like to think they are something special when they arent. Just a bunch of retards that feel tough when they talk shi-t on the internet.
@56
That's what exactly what Brosephski was talking about; You're being sexist because of her gender. It don't matter what your age, race, or sex is, people only care for your performance. I saw that interview and it was boring as hell. She shouldn't have acted so monotone. If you don't want to do your job, fine then, but don't go ahead and try to pass it off as high quality jounalism.
Please, can someone upload the video or point me in another link/video uploader who has it. My curiosity regarding this vid is killing me softly...
Very monotone but pretty good nonetheless
