Here's a roundup of some of the interesting things happening in the community.
• The process of character balancing for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is nearing completion according to an entry on the official Japanese MvC3 blog.
• Yoshinori Ono posted a teaser image of Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition, nothing too exciting, but you get to see what appears to be one of the menu screens. Ono also noticed a nifty, but fake Urien photoshop showing what he might look like in SSF4.
• Marvel vs. Capcom 3 pre-orders are starting to show up all over the place. The title is listed at $59.99 and you can get it off of Amazon.com for the PS3 or Xbox 360. By earlier accounts, we should be seeing this game some time in March 2011.
• IGN got word that Capcom is going to provide yet another update to Street Fighter 4 on the iPhone. This will add an option to accept challengers automatically while playing arcade mode, just like in SSF4 on the PS3/360, and another character to the roster. This update will be available free of charge some time this fall.
• The original Street Fighter 2 will be available as a 'free-ish' iPhone game, complete with touch screen controls. Users will be given free tokens that replenish every day so they can play on the go. A full cabinet can be purchased for $4, so you can play it forever without worrying about running out of credits, or you can keep buying more tokens for a dollar after you've exhausted your free supply. More Capcom games will be released in this manner in the future as well.
• Street Fighter Devotion posted some images and a brief synopsis of older Street Fighter gamers on the GameBoy and NeoGeo Pocket portable systems. Also, SFDevotion added the 5th installment of their Street Fighter merchandise collection, which includes music, pre-order incentives and more.

i bet there gona put urien in the game. i rather have somebody better! not too thrilled but im sure "some" ppl will be. alex and elena from 3rd strike should be in the game theyre more popular and would be used more! and they should put fighters from other sf games. no more 3rd strike they have a game coming online!
#1 It better be an HD remix SF3!
#2 The Online gameplay HAS to be smooth or parrying more lenient
#3 Does Capcom itself have pre-orders 4 MvC3? It would best to give the $ to them directly!
#4 How come the Iphone gets all this free stuff?
#5 The Urien model looks WAY better than what the SF4 team would do to him. Have you seen Ryu and Dudley's face compared to the former versions?
#6 I hope Capcom knows about the DoomBug in MvC3. Eventhough he's one of my main's it's kinda dumb to keep in!
That Urien looks a little too good to be a SFIV model.

That is probably what that one guy was talking about with Dr. Doom. Looks like you can't get too many more hits from it because Doom keeps getting farther away. It seems to do about average combo damage as far as MvC3 has shown us to date, and I really don't expect a keepaway character like doom to force you into the corner with projectiles then somehow get in your face without you doing any thing and then not block while standing.
However being that the commentors seem to like overreaction I'll just take this moment to say it is kind of fun that a character I already liked will be slightly less popular (less understood/have more surprises) due to people thinking he is cheap giving me a small advantage by using a dishonorable character.
I hope sf3 doesn't have the same problems as mvc2 online on ps3. Its so annoying after a ranked match that it takes like 5 minutes to leave the room or getting kicked out of friendly matches because of network errors.
^ wat.
Anyway, if Niitsuma-Sama says the balance it's almost completed, that's means dat the infinity of Doom will be in the game? Hoping for a more harder way to do it....
Also, hoping for a NYCC build and comment's,let's see if the game is balanced. Anyone here is going to NYCC?
The game in amazon is date to April 19. I think march 2011 it's the time will be see the first reviews made by pages.
Already have my Marvel Vs Capcom 3 pre-ordered, pre-ordered it a few months ago from Game.com, but its gonna be legendary! Come one Zero and Magneto to make up my team with Dante!
And come on for Third Strike HD!
Third Strike should be awesome when it comes out as I got my SFIV TE stick today for the PS3 and should beat using a X-box pad anyday of the week (no offence any X-Box guys out there ^^"), yet to try it but feels pretty good, I'm going to put some kick ass Iron Maiden or maybe Metallica art on it something like that, just mirror the Life After Death art possibly as that could look cool. It will be something metal anyway.
@24 I know what COTA is I use to play the arcade version and I'm aware it was released on Saturn and a crappy version on ps1. But he got them mixed cause aswe all know COTA was a one on one fighting game that start the insane fighting engine found in the VS games. Hell even akuma was hidden in it!
Vote up Hatboy suggestion ty your help is appreciated.
85% is not that hard to achieve with many characters as many videos have shown. Dante has ways to get 100% without any assists as do some others if I recall. With Assists I'm pretty sure many characters if not all will have health bar destroying setups (For sure with DHCs and X factor respectively). Also as I have said in comparison to MvC2 many times Juggernaut could kill people in roughly (not just the low stamina characters and using the power up glitch was important, but everyone who actually used juggernaut did that anyway) 3 moves Air fierce punch, ground fierce punch, full level 1 hyper. That said Juggernaut is not used very often because (drum roll) one very strong "easy looking" thing does not make a character ridiculous.

That would be 1 part of how to use Mike Z's team in MvC2 notice how you never see any of those characters in teams that make it to the finals in tournaments after you see how strong they look. Truth is we are trying to call things "cheap" and "overpowered" before we even know how they work and how effective they really are. If you read playing to win you would know how scrubby (I hate using that word but it fits) that sounds. Anyway as I said before which some people chose not to read after seeing my first link "Looks like you can't get too many more hits from it because Doom keeps getting farther away. It seems to do about average combo damage as far as MvC3 has shown us to date, and I really don't expect a keepaway character like doom to force you into the corner with projectiles then somehow get in your face without you doing any thing and then not block while standing".
Marvel vs Capcom 3 is going to be huge success, the graphics look perfect & the health bar design is awesome! All the characters looks great.
I would love to see Magneto, Haggar,& Strider make it :D
