I don't see how that makes sense. You say he's not one of the best Blankas, but that he is the BEST offensive Blanka. Then you say he plays Blanka like Blanka SHOULD be played.
Wouldn't that mean an offensive Blanka is better, and that he is overall the no. 1 Blanka on XBL?

Just wait till Shizuoka Saikyou and Chari get their hands on SSFIV Arcade. He can deal a meaty amount of damage every time he gets the chance which is good, but I don't see even a decent level of yomi here. Too many random stuffs in each of those matches.

i dont hate blanka i just find him annoying
those combos aint easy. ALot of one frame links and really fast electric inputs(his paino input is one of the hard ones). Of course people are gonna talk crap cause its blanka but go and try to do that stuff urself, and not only in training but in matchs. Go try to win with him versus solid players. Yea buts scrubs easy but there scrubs, solid players arent gonna lose to random balls.

what way people play him? Because i cant turtle/runaway/throw random moves with another character? I just fought someone trying to do that, those are easy wins, learn to anti air, learn to throw pokes, u win.
Its funny how people talk trash about Blanka. He is just another character in the game. Why not give props where they are deserved. Im not gonna sit here and complain about boring shoto tactics (cr. med kick fireball all day). who cares Blanka takes alot of skill to win with these days. people understand his short comings. I have spent days on end with Blanka perfecting 1 frame links to electricity. Days learning ways to trick my opponent. Its sad.... i win tournaments and stuff in my area but people hate my Blanka still. Ill never get it. People need to quit bitching and i bet T SRai would beat ever person who has said anything negative about his play style. If blanka is a challenge for you step your game up and learn the matchup. If blanka is easy for you to beat you have not played a good blanka and have no room to talk because i doubt any of you are an accomplished played with any room to talk about others. Its a game have fun.
With all the scrubby Blankas I play online, this is easily the best one I've seen.
This is first I've seen of this guys blanka, and I have to say that its pretty good. A good blanka player is constantly on their toes for the next attack (not saying that no one else is...blanka is quick and the players have to keep up with him on both sides of the game). What im saying is that blanka players know they barely have any combos, so they have to use what works. People only hate blanka players because they cannot stop a good blanka. Bad blankas will spam out the ass, but if they win apparently they are better then you. Learn the tricks and punish. oh, and stop bitching. Blanka is a great character.

Ok, I know this is suppose to be about Blanka, but can I say this: I am surprised that no one has said about the Dhalsim players gamer tag, or posted a link to a picture of Yoko.
Anyway, the thing that annoys me about Blanka is that he has so many match ups were he gets screwed over. Abel, Bison, Rog, Dhalsim, Honda, are not only hard match ups, but commonly used characters too. But I do like going to him for easy wins against scrubs.
Blanka's a bitch to play. Most of his match ups are in his favor to begin with, so honestly, good Blanka, but HTF cares if you can play an OP character. It's way more skillful if you can pull stuff off with a low tier character (Gen, Sakura, Hakan, etc.)
i dont know y errbody is complaining about blanka... is like one of those guys said, if u shut down all his gimmicks he becomes ur b!tch... i used to play blanka and all of that u see being pulled off der is very very high level play... and for those who say that hes broken think about this, what other character in the game u know who can hit u with a move and still get punished like blanka when he does a ball? n thats y i stop playin him cause thats some bullsh!t... shout out to capcom!
I like the character, but I dont like that he is very safe and spamable, so good he will be nerf, so there will be only true skilled blankas and no trash, blanka is a very good character, only need some minor nerf, I think that guile, bison, rufus, chun, akuma, honda and balrog need to be more nerfed.
there will be people who cry cuz hes character will be nerfed and cant be cheap anymore....trash always will be trash.

its honestly fustrating. I get props 4 my bison but when i switch to my fav blanka i get nothing but hate. I have only gotten props from a few people and those are the ones that understand the game. At ur next tournament just tell them straight up, if blanka is so cheap why dont u use him and win with him? Lets see them hit one frame links, paino the jab electric, use blankas sub par pokes effectively and deal with the many matchups that make blankas primary attack unuseable.

Are u retarded? Who does he beat? Any character that has legit pokes can beat blanka and most of the cast has some way to punish random balls. Stop being a afraid and fight the match.
blanka is mid tier, nothing more nothing less, he has dropped much in super since his worst matchups got even worse(rog, honda, abel, bison) all his worst are top tier now so life as a blanka is harder than it was. Can't forget rufus ultra 2 either.
the blanka is good and aggressive hands down... there might be "better" blankas out there but all the high level blankas i play get that one solid hit on me and its poke all day... i dont care if they are tournament players who play for money... if you are satisified with your defensive poking stratigies to win good for you. I just prefer any character to be agressive cuz it makes me feel that any move that my opponent does will be stuffed, out prioritized, or baited a.k.a a mindF***. i mean look at guile and chun li... top tier characters that do well against MAJORITY of the SSF4 cast yet people who play with them complain about a simple flaw or two... i mean look at the mid tier and lower... they have many flaws and can barley do well against half the ssf4... i c it as a lose lose situation because we all want our favorite or main characters to be gdlk.. its our human nature

Sure i may get irritated to fight someone that heavily zones me, counters every single move i do from a simple whiffed crouching jab at mid screen or a simple walking backwards or forwards, i just take it as a learning experience to become a better player. no matter how well you play eighter it be poking and playing it safe or a complete aggressive fiend, or even an all around solid player ' there will always be haters. What nerf does Blanka need. What move can he safely spam. I wish you could tell me but there isnt one. If you fight an electricity spammer just bait and sweep. If they spam ball jab. Thats is end game for blanka. Or maybe you hate the slide. Well block low then, its not like your ever gonna see blanka's overhead. People just play online too much these days. Get off your butts and play with some friends or go to the arcade. Thats where the real fun is and thats where you learn what will and will not work. And people really gotta lay off this whole idea of nerfing charecters. this game is almost perfectly balanced. Look at the difference from top tier and lowest tier. Not a big difference at all so chill. This site should be called compain-hubs because thats all i ever see here anymore.

Some good combos of that Blanka from "T SRai", but its really hard to land combos vs a pro player. My Blaka has very few combos, but thats enough gameplay for me already.

@ Roxas well the only nerf that I think is ok is the reduced distance in rolling atack on block, all say is very punishable except for some characters, well with that nerf all can punish that, thats is fare.
I dont like that even he hit, some people can punish blanka thats unfare. thats the minor buffs/ nerfs I say.
and for people who like to defend hes character, yes he is pretty safe in most atacks (I mean he recovery pretty quickly). noobs only spam, of course there is no problem beating those people but for that there is no so much good blankas

what moves does he has that are safe? almost everyone can punish the ball, the right range punishs electric and most of his normals r negative on block. So whats safe?

Dude seriously, learn the game. Balrog,bison,honda, cammy,seth,rufus,dhalsim,fei(he either hits it, or the rekkas put him in a position to apply pressure) deejay, cody, viper, elf, dudley, guy, hakan and makoto can all hit the ball on block with a special or ex move. Abel, rose, akuma, adon, sagat, chun,gen,cammy, seth can all hit it with ultra. Then u have alot of characters that can hit it on block(abel,cammy ultra it back on hit), and u have a few character that punish ex up ball(blankas only reserval) on hit(vega,guy abel cammy). And the characters that cant hit the ball on block WILL be able to punish it with whatever they want on hit or on block in the corner. This is not a complete list but this is basicly it. and dont forget that there was a guide to beating ultra 2 chip dmg a few weeks back so that isnt free niether. U have no idea wat the hell ur talking about so before u cry on here do some research. If u thing the blanka ball is bad u havent played many hondas. The sumo head butt does MORE dmg, is ALOT safer it starts up alot faster and most importantly it knocks down.
Its really sad that u have no idea when u can do a few clicks here and there and know whats what.

Hes 16 on the tiers, dont act like hes tiered next to ryu lol. And not to mention some of those matchs can be debatable ie, guile and chun. Dont act like every since sf4 came out he has been droping with each tier list that was released.
ANd who didnt i mention? Out of the whole 35 character cast the only ones that have zero options vs the ball on block are sak, ken, gief, guile,t hawk and dan(i think ibuki can catch it with her neckbreaker but i dont fight them enough to know). Thats 6 characters out of 35, so whats ur beef? And out of those characters the only ones that have a real hard time are the grapplers. Guile has the pokes and sonic booms to basicly take control of everything but ex ball. Ken can either nuetral jump forward and hit it on the way down OR block and step kick forward which will put u in a position to pressure and stop the next ball. Sakarua has to do the same, move forward and apply pressure.
Last time i checked there were alot more moves that were safe on block and alot better, ie scissors, thunder knuckle, well spaced tiger knees and cannon drills, etc etc. Or how about ryus low forward fireball? I can run up and u and do that all day. So why should blanka be able to use a move that 1) he can be easly hit out of 2) doesnt knock down 3) regardless if it hits or not puts u half screen away slowing down the pressure game. If anything the ball needed to be safer(its actually alot safer in hdr and hes still low tier there LOL), if u feel everyone should be able to hit the ball on block thats fine, then u should also agree with other moves being made unsafe. Make ryus low forward - 20 on block then.
This thread is freaking amazing. If blanka was so broken how come i never fight them online? When sagat was op he was every where so how come i dont see blanka in tournaments dominating with safe ball spam? None of the people crying here can answer that question for me because u know the answer. U just suck. Blanka is hard to win with when u actually fight a good players and people that understand the game know this. Its disgusting, i can pick ryu and do the basic crap or pick balrog and do the brain dead combos and people will tell me im good, but when i use a character that has a unique style im cheap? amazing, it really makes the fps people look like high class competitors.
Im in complete agreement with chickenwings. I couldnt have said it better. What fun would the game be if every thing that is being complained about got nerfed? There would be no challenge. Thats what i believe the game was made for. A challenge. Every character has there annoying traits. You can't tell me Juri's flip kicks arent more annoying on wake up then Blanka's vert. (or at anytime for that matter). You can't tell me a camping guile is less annoying and more fun then a predictable ball and lightning. Anyone who cant find ways to beat spammers are just ignorant to the fact that Good blanka players win with normals. damn straight. Most of the damage i send are from normals and finished off with simple balls or lightning. It only makes it easier for me to win when my opponent thinks i will spam a move, either making them jump, or leaving them open for a grab. It is a simple as that. Simple strategies. Same with shotos with shoryukens.
So why don't Blankas win tournaments? Because real players know this. Real fighters dont start cursing their mothers out because their arcade game was interrupted by a blanka player. Real players fight accordingly. If your strategy is based of a ryu match up, eventually you will lose. Learn to fight outside the everyday fight. So since people are too bitchy to give props to all the good blankas out there, I GIVE PROPS! Even if you spam. Fuk u guys but i give props.
And yea, ive never gotten props for my blanka, but let me switch to Vega or Makoto and everything changes. GG's all throught my damn inbox. So again, stop bitching!

a) he is in medium tier, that means its good, dont act like he is next to hakan, gen or el fuerte.. (ohh this guy seem to will have very bad nerfs and is low...)
b) dont compare with top tiers or any other character will lose in that
c) vega and makoto are down in tier than blanka
d) "nerf" to blanka horizontal ball makes him punishable to all but if you say all can punish what bother you? ohh and with that you will be more close to you oponnent to make pressure as you say.
people always compare with the top tiers.... you comments make blanka seem like an useless character and hes not, he is very good

thats the mentality that most of u people have. Instead of learning you tell urself hes op without even trying to learn.
I had a guy yesterday get demolished by my blanka, to make it more interesting i decided to pick a secondary character(its endless, why not explore new characters). So after that match he saw i was picking other characters and decided to pick blanka to i guess "teach me a lesson", so plant him in the corner and totally rape him with bison, next i picked guile, again same result. Corner guard and destroy. But at the end of this round right as he was about to get the guile wins screen i guess he ripped his modem out of the wall in pure rage since he disconnected from the match. ANd he prob went and told himself the same thing u just sad, screw him blanka is cheap/op character, hes abusing lag(he is in my area according to his bio) etc etc. So if hes so cheap/op why did i just destroy him with his blanka(he actually had some points with him) with two different characters(guile has no punish for the ball either and is supposed to be a 4 for blanka). Again, if blanka is op, pick him and win with him, but u wont do that cause u have to put in work and solid players wont lose to random bs. I would even go as far as to help u understand the match but that aint gonna happen because in ur sruby little mind u already went ahead and labeled everything that blanka does is cheap. Again people like u make me appreciate the halo/cod kiddies.

If ur compareing characters u have to compare with top tier, it doesnt do any justice to compare with hakan(even though hakan has good punishs for the ball, and ultra to make u scared of jumping and some somewhat legit normals). And blanka does need some improvements, his close in normals are really lacking and this really hurts him in his tougher matchups(or pretty much anyone with better pokes). Ill give u an example, the makoto blanka matchup(i have like 2 really good ones that i play alot) looks like a tough match for makoto BUT if the makoto can work her normals and keep the close in pressure on blanka she gets the upper hand, but if she sits there and lets me jump all over her then she screwed. This with prob 90% of the cast, if ur leting blanka jump all over the place or sit on the other side of the screen UR DOING IT WRONG.
For all the newbs complaining about Blanka. He is a character that is easily neutralized. The thing is, people don't like being patient, so they eat their slides trying to jump in, or eat their ex ball trying to zone them, or get out poked by anti airs.
Reality is, Blanka is easy to beat if you know wtf you're doing. So people saying he's OP are idiots. Blanka players have to put in way more work to win against GOOD players. He gets owned on block while using most of his moves. I don't use Blanka much, but I do enjoy charge characters mainly. I'll say this much, Blanka doesn't suck, but he isn't the best either.
Seen a lot of T SRAI before. He doesn't have "one of the best" Blankas BUT the best offensives Blanka. No one does combos like him and is as aggressive as he is. He plays Blanka like how he should be played.
Watch out for this guy. He needs to improve his all around game, but his execution and mind games are top notch.
