Felt obliged to add that blanka's c.LK is a one frame link into itself. Hitting 3-4 of those in the same combo is outstanding, especially in online modes.

this is exactly why I don't like using blanka. he relies so heavily on these 1 or 2 frame links on all his BNBs. My execution is just not that good. On top of I don't have the pianoing skills that is required to play blanka well.
As much as i hate regular Blankas.... This guy is so freaking awesome!!!

I totally agree. Sure,this is a VERY good blanka player, probably the best one I've ever seen, but he isn't unveiling "new technology" or anything. And people talk about his 1 frame links like they are harder than any other characters 1 frame links. Sure, he does several of them, but don't many other characters have the same thing? I thought Vega's jabs are 1 frame links. And aren't zangiefs cr.shorts also 1 frame links? Pretty sure many people have done the same thing with different characters.
But don't get me wrong, that blanka player is very good. He is a shining example of what most blanka players will never be.
I think Odin gets destroyed by blanka's online so he is a bit salty.

~Sigh, seriously, why all the hate for one character? I don't get why Blanka gets the most hate out of every other character. Why don't I hear hate about run away Akuma? Cross-up happy Zangief? Shoryuken happy Ken? C'mon people, just because some lost to Blanka doesn't automatically make him cheap. If Blanka was the cheapest of all characters, why isn't he listed as top tier? So what if he can play offensively and defensively, just because of that he's hated on and called cheap? Why isn't Balrog called cheap by the majority of people? Balrog can fight offensively and defensively, but most people call him one of the more balance characters in the game. Blanka has mix-ups, but again called cheap. Abel has mix-ups, but is called solid for most people.
Point is that this hate for this one character is rather unnecessary.
If people just learn and adapt, then there shouldn't be any problem. Besides lag of course >_>;

To people in here complaining and downplaying the video...yes, it's nothing revolutionary, but it is new in a sense in that you almost never see Blanka played this way, combo-wise. And you can be aware of mixups and still fall victim to them. Pro players still get tricked by mixups all the time and I'm sure this T Srai would mop the floor w/ the lot of you in here complaining.
Well by no means im downplaying a Blanka who actually plays differently than 90% of the Blanka players online, I respect that all the way. A lot of folks don't play up to the characters strengths, they play in a very fixed auto pilot way. You gotta take your character and abuse the crap out of him or her to bring out his/her potential. I think thats why we have a rare breed or really good Blanka Players and El Fuertes because they actually spent time mastering the character just like someone would spend time mastering Ryu or Rufus, same thing.
You know what, I bet if Justin Wong never picked up Rufus, no one would have thought he was worth the time to master either.

i think the best way to answer that question it is because when blanka is on the screen you have to change your basic gameplan and cant play the way you want too.
Usually its just zoning and/or rushing, and when blanka is around everything revolves around trying to counter his shenanigans. Him being in a class of his own is probably why people always single him out as being cheap or whatever.
Why people may call blanka ball cheap- try to punish a blanka ball mid flight with an ultra usually result in him going thru you unfazed, unlike similar moves like headbutt psycho crusher they get intercepted. Also it likes to cross under people mid air for them trying to use air attacks to hit him. HB and PC will usually get beat out at the point flying across screen by a Neutral jumping attack or cross over.
why people may call electricity mess cheap- unlike similar mashable moves, it hits all around him. So hes protected against the aggressive cross over spammers and people that are aggressive on doing wake up stuff, unlike honda and chun eating a free combo if they get caught mashing.
Why people may call the hop cheap- only other comparable move i can think of is Abel rolls and lesser extent ibuki's command dash. its yet another move that blanka can use to ignore what side he is on. Abel rolls can be grabbed out of, but that hop of blanka likes to pass thru just about everything which gives people another reason to moan cause they as i said earlier about not being able to stick to their normal gameplan. also him being able to constantly switch sides it messes with people inputs it will annoy the hell outta anyone due to being unable to pin him down.
Now put that all together you have a character that is top notch annoyance and thats not even getting into all his moves he has available. People wanna just being able to push him into a corner like anyone else and blitz him down but they cant do that, or the wanna zone him out but cant due to him flying all over the screen and hop spamming or his coward crouch to kill time.
TLDR - You cant fight blanka like anyone else in the game, you cant pin him down or keep him away, able to mash outta mix ups or if you just leave him alone on wake trying to avoid whatever the ball is back in his court to do whatever(no pun intended) Him being called cheap isnt based on his power relative to the rest of the cast.
btw- i have nothing personal against Blanka seeing as i use him myself since sf2 days and play many other character i can understand why they get pissed off when having to face him, i know i dont like having to fight him altho i know the tricks. But im guilty of it too seeing how i also use fuerte and vega so i annoy my friends all damn day with gimmicks with all 3 of them :D.
Blanka's bag of tricks is what people hate about him, it's certainly not core gameplay (though T-SRAI certainly shows good core gameplay with him).
Great Blanka, just know that he's winning WITH SKILL and not with Blanka. Getting down those one frame links opens up big opportunities and he can hit confirm his super/ultra.....he has almost mastered this character.
us Blanka players wish we could be like T Srai and do at least half of what he can do with Blanka...but the Blanka haters don't know how to block and have no idea how hard it is to do what T Srai can do...I know they have no desire to use him but they don't even know how to use him either...'cause they're all noobs...and besides...it's only a game...live with it...

TSrai's Blanka is a beast but I still hate all Blanka players in general. IMHO, I don't think it takes much skill to play blanka at all. He really doesn't deserve that much damage on his special attacks. Angled jump HK -> c.lp -> lightning = 60% of the cast's supers.
It's not that he's cheap...he's not, he's just annoying to fight against specially when I use adon all his moves beat mine it's so annoying. I just don't get how blanka has like two different ways to get around fireballs and e.Honda has none lol. Atleast we don't see him on the top tournament finals fight who wants to see someone doing lightning hopping around and rolling

I already stated my position on it, i know how to deal and punish blanka i dont really agree with the nerfs but i also understand why people complain seeing how a majority of the complaints are average skilled people, as you see it isnt the pros complaining about it really. I was stating my observation of when i use him against friends and possible online hate mail and other people complaints here. And no i dont use the same gameplan against everyone i just adapt to the situation best i can.
