What I love most? The Japanese arrogance:
Raoh, so salty after he lost to Justin, refused to shake his hands.
Daigo, taunting mid-match.
Raw stuff. Wish I was there.
God I miss 3rd Strike. That game really showed off true skill IMO. Took many years to master but, SSF4 can be mastered in a few days. Japan were just monsters in that game but, I still loved the game more. SSF4 seems so newbie compared to 3S. I hope they make some balancing changes to 3S when it comes out for the consoles.
@13 What do you expect with the new generation of cry babies that have game difficulties lowered to cater to their every needs. The new generation will not beat the older generation players ever in 3rd Strike. They probably quit once they discover how hard it is to learn. I've seen it happen a billion times the newer generations usually just QUIT when something is too hard to learn or master. I hate how dumb downed SSF4 is and how they lowered the level of the learning curve. They are also doing it to MVC3 and guess why. To cater to the new generation.
lol justin's reaction to the parry's was so dam priceless XD
I don't understand how it's true skill when everyone was basically tier whores in 3rd strike
To continue yes the parrys was advanced stuff but unless Sean or Necro was doing it big you get my drift...
I cant believe Most of you guys havent seen this already. Must be the Newer generation. SO i guess Capcom is doing things right after all. Getting attention of the Newer ones and let the OG cry babies cry. YUP i said it all the Cry babies out there, that talk about nerff and NOT fair is all OLD generation. .. woooPusssaaaaa
I'm an old school SF player and I love 3rd strike in everyway. But if SSF4 had the learning curve of 3rd strike we wouldn't be having this type of conversation because it would be over for fighting games made by capcom. SF4 is to this decade as what SF2 was to the 90's. Fighting games are hot again because of the easy play style of SF4. But trust me capcom will make skill fighting games, everything won't be noob friendly.
who cares about 3s? know whats funny is the people who think 3s is the holy grail of sf are complete trash at sf4. maybe sf4 is just not for some people... just like when 3s alienated half the f*ckin community.
@ jamesL88 # 25
what made justin look cocky in the previous match? the fact that he got excited after beating a japanese player? you guys see someone get hyped and hes automatically a douche bag and after that everything is a biased opinion. mike ross sounds humble at first then now he can talk as much trash as he wants and he wont ever be considered an ass hole.
I'm talking about the american scene so no need to go around insulting k crybaby... waah capcom actually made money and got people interested instead of staying dead for longer than 10 years in the fighting game scene and let the elites brag with there noses so high if it rained you'd all drown.
have people never played 3rd strike or are they just trolling. Daigo taunts for a power boost. thats what Kens taunt does in 3rd strike. Raoh said that for fun. he doesnt know a lick of English, so the Americans told him to say that. i dont know whether he knew what he was saying or not but meh..whatever. Justin...well hes just Justin. no need for an explanation on him lol.
ok looks like im trolling now cuz ZG1 already explained.lol
@33 People do care if it's still being played at tournaments just as Super Turbo is. Also, are you seriously implying you must suck at 4 to not consider 3 the best in the series? I'll test that theory right now if you find me on PSN (my ID is neon6plz).
@35 Making money isn't what piss people off, it's after all the hype SF4 and Super received about being a return to the glory days of Capcom fighters, they ended up being gutter trash specifically designed to branch out to the much more lucrative casual market by dumbing down gameplay and taking about a decade-sized step back in the genre, something that's impossible for you to understand.
@LittleMDR Nope, its you OG who Lose to US new generation in ssf4. Then cry about how the game is way to easy to Master thats why you guys hate it so much, blah blah blah.
The same people who cry about why this character is too good and how this character is to weak is all Overgrown adults who call each other scrubs. NOT the NEWER generation. I like this game!
@Neon
Yellow light of death? Anyways it did bring back the glory days somewhat of people getting interested in the game and I believe it's great to go back to building blocks albeit at the annoyance of some I mean sometimes you have to accept change even if it isn't always pleasant (even though the shortcuts do ruin the game) So the game caters to just about everyone it has it's fans and haters which has helped the community grow IMO.
@songman
I've never heard Valle, Choi, Arturo, Jwong, Ricky, Daigo, Mago, Tokido, Nuki, etc. ask for a nerf, complain about something being unfair or a character being too good aside from Vanilla Sagat who actually was too good, most of the dumb comments I've seen regarding game balance were from people who had never played a fighting game before SF4, e.g. the new generation you speak of. The complaints I've seen about SF4 from the OGs are that it's too slow, it's too defensive/turtley, and that its game mechanics are dumbed down/watered down for newer players (e.g. shortcut inputs, auto block, big reversal window, not enough block stun, no parrying, no guard crush meter, no rolling, no custom combos, etc.), all of which are true.
@AlterBeast
"who cares about 3s? know whats funny is the people who think 3s is the holy grail of sf are complete trash at sf4. maybe sf4 is just not for some people... just like when 3s alienated half the f*ckin community."
WTF are you talking about? Lots of people that were/are good at 3s are also good at SF4: Daigo, Jwong, Ricky, Valle, Momochi, Tokido, Nuki, etc. Almost every good SF4 player was good at some other fighting game before making the transition to SF4.
@45 Null I completely agree with you. Some of the best players actually come from other gaming backgrounds and is more about the mindset and knowledge. These are the players we consistently see making it into the top 8. Even Justin and Daigo said that they both didn't really like SF4 when it first came out but, it definitely grows on you and now it's their favourite game. I think the OG 3rd Strike players need to give the game more of a chance to grow on them before they just think about sticking to 3rd Strike. Also JS Master and Gamerbee also came from a 3rd Strike Arcade background.
I love SSFIV but I hate quick a few things about it. I hate the mashing and the shortcut inputs...I prefer 3rd strike and the older generation of games because it doesn't have those issues or options that caters to retarded players that refuse to learn the game.
You have to remember too that without the popularity of SFIV and SSFIV, they never would have considered releasing 3rd Strike onto these new systems with online play. These new games have opened a ton of doors for fighting games to return to the forefront.
Dam this is crazy. So retro looking haha
