EventHubs correspondent, Kenshin Hiroki, brought up some news about Yoshinori Ono's announcement that he'll be making in Moscow concerning Street Fighter X Tekken and Super Street Fighter 4 this weekend.Can we get the special edition of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 outside of North America?
Sven: Unfortunately guys, the special edition is North America only and they will be extremely limited. If you like it I would strongly suggest you pre-order sooner than later as these will very likely be completely spoken for in preorders alone.

He has to answer those questions like that. He's not allowed to confirm or deny those subject matter. It's mainly for public relations purposes.
Maybe the leaked list that guessed Jill would be DLC is correct or maybe it's not. But we won't hear Ono or Seth or anyone important from Capcom confirm or deny any of it.

It's to keep them from kicking themselves in the behind later. they don't want to say "Oh yeah he/she is gonna be in the game." Then a month before release, oh no he's not gonna be in the game. IT would piss a lot of people off and kill the hype very quickly.
Also they want all the content announcments to stretch a bit to build hype and momentum because they will need it to get people to buy on day 1 sales, not us fans but people who don't know about the game need a reason to buy. Just be patient, February will be here sooner than you think.
WTF? The Special Edition is ONLY for the US???? Why Capcom???? I tried to place it on pre-order from GameStop (i live in Europe) and they are asking for a ridiculous $60 for normal overseas shipping!!! That's as much as the game costs and over 4 times as much i would normaly pay from amazon.com or ebay stores. I really hope the S.E. isn't a GameStop exclusive....

Yeah but Shuma-gorath was already confirmed for DLC and Jill (also DLC) isn't even on the Capcom side of that list. It shows that Shuma is to be announced like a regular in-game character but yet again, he's DLC. I sincerely doubt that Howard the duck will be in the game at all but it would be funny. As for the character at the top of Capcom's side, I think it says "Red Arremere", that devil thing from Ghosts'n'Goblins.

Yes, but Shunma Gorath is only a DLC character.
Making him not really a ''Official Character'' if you know what I mean. And as for characters like Howard the duck, it would be very different, but still, I think that list is true.

Imo european SE will include 2 exclusive characters dlc.

Dividing ANY of the roster by region would be a HUGE mistake. This isn't a Norimaro situation, so no, it isn't warranted. Even with later release.
Also, I would comment on that shopped image everybody likes to post and say is real NO MATTER WHAT, but it doesn't matter.
We'll be seeing that image claimed as real until late 2015.

If they announce that there will, indeed, be a SSFIV AE update for consoles, I'll be very happy. And if they are going to announce anything really big and this is not an "announcement of an announcement" kind of thing then that's what we're most likely to get.

Number 18 STA, Some of those characters are true, but that's another fake list. Shuma-Gorath is DLC, there's no Jill on that list...it's fake. There are no other slots located on that page that indicates other characters, don't trust that it's fake.
24# Exactly you'd think the fact that Jill isn't mentioned on that list would be enough to discredit it but I guess some people will believe any list if they see a character on it that they like. Although at this point in development a true leaked list has a high chance of popping up, considering all the people that are involved with the project now. Keeping an air tight lid isn't really possible any longer.
But for those that really need a leaked list to attach themselves too, at least pick the one that had Shuma and Jill specifically listed as DLC. I give that list some credibility since it came out three weeks ago, yet had Jill and Shuma listed on it as DLC. That's something that cannot be simply pegged as a lucky guess, like a lot of these other list.

Far as I know it, I think that list is fake to, concerning that fact that it just came out right after Shuma and Jill was revealed. That makes it easy to look like the list is real. It's still missing other characters and not just Thor either, it suppose to be in the 40 range. The list sounds incomplete.
Niitsuma did say Mega Man will be in the game from one of his iterations. Well if it is right, it's still incomplete. But I think it's fake until proven. I think it's just someone playing games as usual like all other lists, the lists keeps coming after every character reveal and keeps being proven fake. It's like someone is waiting to see what characters come out and then they try to guess who'll be in, when they have no clue at all.
Agent Orange, If I am correct, I believe Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine were going to be special DLC characters available if you pre-order MVC3. I could be wrong, But I believe there was a post recently about that. Check into it ;)

50# Nope that list came out about three weeks ago, it's just no one gave it any mind until Jill and Shuma were revealed to be DLC. Although Thor isn't listed that could be wilted down into a typo. It's not like Thor wasn't already revealed prior to it's release anyway so that's a moot point. But here's some food for thought for you.
If you remember when Seth was asked about the crazy character he stated that the character had a unique ability that almost seemed too cheap and has never been done in a versus game, but the developers found a way to make it work. Going by that statement Phoenix has to be the crazy character in question. There's a note on that list that says that Phoenix could be resurrected into Dark Phoenix once she dies and you have five full meters to blow on it.
This gives you a four to three advantage if you use her which is definitely cheap, and hasn't been done in a versus game. But the fact that she has terrible health and you have to waste five super meters on it, is the way the developers worked around that. Believe what you will but the fact that Phoenix actually qualifies as a mind blowing character unlike let's say Howard the duck which the other list out there has on it. So just saying this list actually makes me question it, unlike that last one that doesn't have any merit to it.
Where's my Q at Capcom. Seriously. Before Super came out Q was in high demand. You add a half finished version of Makoto (who got no hype if you remember correctly because no one asked for her). Before AE was announced Q was in high demand. You add Yun and Yang who were less requested than Oro, Twelve, Hugo, Elena and Alex. WTF.
Listen to your fans, please. Even if they didn't add Q I'd be happy if they at least listened to the people who buy their game... It's just disappointing at this point.

with a roster like mvc2, its going to be tough to really get into mvc3. i really hope its a better game but its so hard letting go of your child hood favorite fighters. it sucks they all be coming back. im excited though either way.

So three weeks ago, I say that's most convincing so far. It's still incomplete though. Who knows that might of been preplanned to throw us off. Capcom is doing a good job to make us wait to see which Mega Man makes it in. And who knows Capcom is probably keeping the rest a secret which is why that list is incomplete due to the actual roster size. Thor is an obvious and deliberate Typo. (maybe the guy didn't want to get caught so he put it in fast-just kidding. I completely agree with the Phoenix being the crazy character. Not only that, there was a soundtrack leak for each character and the Phoenix was on that list called Rebirth.
