Make sure you hit the link above for more details on how you can get a match against The Beast.
I bet all the haters are lining up right now, to play the great one lmfao........
Is Daigo strong enough to defeat even lag? The battle of the beasts will begin soon.
I'm gonna check this out, I prob won't even get to play him, though. :{
Lets see if he can adapt to lag tactics. Especially on PSN.
I won't mind getting destroyed if I can say I fought Daigo. I'll be sure to do it.
Marn said SSIV XBL in japan is virtually lagless. Felt like he was playing someone in person, not online.
Yeah because playing against a scrub like Baller is so not worth it anyways I would enter but sadly my job intervenes :( good luck to whomever enter the raffle I so wish Geom Mod would know of this if someone could get the word out to him cool.
"Doesn't he play online all the time as Gameinn anyways? I'm sure he knows lag fairly well."
Internet in Japan is the 2nd best in the world. About 30x faster than in America.
Lmao, some of you need a toothpick to clean Daigo's pubic hair out your mouth. Seriously, stop sucking him so hard. Holy crap, it's like if you guys worship him. Its a video game, calm down.
@39 who is sucking him? people just want to find out on how to enter the contest to fight him?
haters like to make up stuffs. lol
@ Raven
Basically in Japan, their internet is fiber-optic. Its on the entire island from what I can recall. The US only has fiber optics in specific locations.
The other difference is that usually in Japan, their fiber optics is around the 20-24 MBPS range. The original Street Fighter IV only uses 1.9 MBP to play online, but when you multiply that by the 20-24 amount, everything runs a hell of a lot smoother.
for the curious (and those who know japanese) it's from minato & shunjuku cable, platinum 160 package:

Hmmmm, just noticed NTT East are offering a 200Mbp/s package in my area that has 1Gbp/s FTTH connectivity from the exchange; maybe I should look at upgrading ;p

Seriously, the US(and the UK, where I'm actually from) are so far behind here that it's just not funny :(
it's not the US is far behind in the technology. US is too big and too expensive to replace those old cable lines to super high speed fiber-optic.
agreed it's not a technology issue -- but it's not population density either; rather, it's the economics of having no mandated line-sharing (aka: 'local loop unbundling'), and therefore islands of cable/telco local monopolies who have no incentive whatsoever to put in anything faster/cheaper, as they have no realistic competition in their service area.
check out the price per Mbit if you don't think that makes a difference: US = $8, Japan = $2.3. Note that this metric isn't directly connected to max speed, but purely what you pay per Mbit.

(Also there are 5 countries with lower population densities --including Canada-- that whup the US in fast broadband penetration)
It's all a bit of give & take, but realistically the US could do with MAKING the telcos/cable companies open up for line sharing. Then you get competition, and eventually the consumers reap the benefits.
Straying a little off-topic now, heh ;)
I’d love to play him, but I suppose I should let those people a chance who can put up a good show. I suppose no one wants to see Daigo destroy an average Viper.*g
@ ayembee
you have to remember the US does not have this throughout the entire North American content. Only certain portions have the ability to have Fiber Optics.
I believe at one point Obama was for the push to try and get the US to change, because as some have said, our technological status, or rather are internet is behind. The problem is, replacing those cable lines for fiber optics is a ton of money, so thats why theres a fluctuation of lag. If I have a 160MBP in the US, and the opponent I play has standard DSL with a 3.2MBP connection, my connection has to drop down to his level to play. But I'm sure you know this.
^ interesting facts that I didn't know about. I know, I know. "Shameful"
Why do people bother to say things "it's just a video game." If you're commenting about SSFIV on EH it clearly means a lot to you too! :p
@54, I come here because I like playing SSF4. I've been playing Street Fighter since i was 4. Now there is a difference between liking video games and worshipping a guy who is nice (Not a God) at a video game (The latter being pathetic). You like Daigo, thats ok, but don't act like you want to have his babies. Then people want to know why we gamers are considered "nerdy". lol
@54 SplendidClaw,
No one's acting like he wants to have babies with Daigo. it's just that, as a fellow fighting game gamer, I as many others really admire him if for the reason that he truly is a great fighting game player.
@SimSimIV
on one of those I assume:
