Ugh, that artwork is HORRIBLE. I can't believe they are using the same artwork as that awful poster for our game cover, how disappointing.

and finally this cover does not show the spirit of the game at all, it looks more like an snk vs capcom cover, wich is not bad but its not the style of the game.

Great news, but that cover is garbage. We need to go to Capcom Unity en masse and let them know it.
Not to hate on the artist, but there are at least 10 other collages that have made for this game that destroy this cover, outright. Worst cover than the US cover for Street Fighter Alpha on the PSX and Sega Saturn. Ugh.

The reason that we bitch is that it's something that can be changed. Time and time again, Capcom has great artwork made for a game and they always go with the worse cover possible. Every time I take the game out of it's case and put it back in, I don't want to see that cover if I can help it. (http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/...)
If it was the only potential cover in existance, then so be it. But it's not. With so many better ones to choose from and the fan art contest currently going right now, why go with this sub-par cover. Capcom USA has a long running history with picking lame covers (the Mega Man series, Street Fighter Alpha, etc), and now that they listen to us about feedback, why not try an convince them to make a better choice.
Seriously, for those who despise this cover, please hit this link below @ Capcom-Unity and politely let them know how you feel about this choice. Hopefully this artwork is only a placeholder for a better cover before release, but if it isn't it's up to us to let them know what we think.

Be THANKFUL this is NEW decent art and not LAZY like the SSF4 cover.

I sure do remember that we got saddled by that uninspiring SSF4 cover and even though the one for MvC3 is original, it's not very good in my opinion. We got original art for both the Mega Man on the NES & SFA on the PSX and SS, and that didn't make those appealing to look at.
If Capcom ignores those that don't like the art chosen, so be it, But when it comes to being grateful for an original cover, I'm not one to accept scraps when we could have something better. Just as it's fine for you to voice your distaste for "whiners", it's equally as fine for me to voice my opinion about this terrible cover.
Regardless, I'll be buying MvC3 at the midnight launch but to be honest, I'd rather have another boring collage of in-game art than a portrait that depicts these characters as badly as the current choice does. I don't care if I only look at the box once, I only want the best for this game from jump.
Despite what you might believe, people do judge a book by it's cover. I'm sure there has been a movie poster or two in your lifetime that have sold you whether you see a particular film or not. Why should we have to settle for the status quo?
