Zero is pretty much a TvC clone... but the new mechanics in MvC3 such as OTG supers help him more.
She-Hulk feels an awful lot like a waste. Not because she is a bad character, but I just don't think anyone will play her. She doesn't really appeal to any age group or whatever and the difficulty curve of blowing through lasers and projectiles on the screen is going to be harrowing. Imagine fighting against Trish and MODOK with She-Hulk.
He was popular in the US version of TvC so I'm even more excited for him in MvC3. I only wish they added the Lv3 Dark Hold Super move.

It could just be me, but She-Hulk looked mad boring to play. I feel they could've done better.
MVC3 has the worst character line up in any VS game.
The roster so far is not impressive and Capcom was lazy and copy and pasted a lot from Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to see Zero and I'm a Mega Man fan but Zero and no Mega Man just make the fans very sad :(.
The next Capcom character to be announce is going to be Haggar and after that I think that we are almost done and we have to just forget about Strider and Captain Commando for at least 10 years more...

Personally, I think the roster is great because it takes a good bit of fairly old material like Tron and Arthur and meshes it with new stuff like Deadpool and Dante.

Zero is basically a fixed version of tvc with new supers which I'm glad cause I hate his first super kinda wish they had the dark hold one though like other are saying.

Well, as far i can see in the video, Zero have good and bad things.
First and most obvius is the new Rekkoha, so much better than his TvC version. New extended combos (now he can use Ryuenjin after regular combo in the ground without being too high.
But, also Zero looks pretty much low than his is in TvC (Mvc3 mechanics). I think I think that will not be so popular and used as before.

this game doesn't have the characters that made the vs series what it is today and that's sad. some characters are cool but some of them are wack as hell.
Hmm well on one hand I am happy to see another MARVEL female character added to the mix, though I would have preferred Ms Marvel over She-Hulk. Also, I noticed a few post mentioned She-Hulk seemed boring to play with. I think (and I could be wrong) it might have to do with such a lackluster costume. It looks downright weird to see her in her classic costume in the game. It would have been better if they incorporated the more modern costume where she wore Jeans over that same costume. Her "sunday driver" hyper was kinda cool though.
Well....they have a "Legends" character....an "X" character...that pretty much confirms Classic Megaman. XD
Lucky I grew up with MvsC2. May have been broken, but it was as fun as hell to play with your mates.
I like She-Hulk as much as the next guy, but do her animations look incomplete to you guys as well, or is it just me? Well, it was the same with Magneto in his trailer, so I presume she'll 'flow' more in the final build.
Also, I still would've rather had Megaman X, but there's no use complainign about that anymore. And Zero's looking good anyway :P
seems like i have to make Zero my main again, i already see great potencial in this version of zero i just need to know if the still have his teleport move, knowing that will let me come out with some crazy combos just as i did in TvC, i will develop 100% combos with zero mark my words, and just for the record, marn was never a good zero player to begin with

Also to the idiots who say o he is just a copy from his last game booooo.WTF WAS MARVEL VS. In addition if a character like zero didn't have at least most of his moves from his previous game that would make zero fans and players upset because they liked his move set.So capcom did that perfectly,they let him have his moves and from what it looks improved the ones that needed buffs.
So capcom your doing great your making the cast diverse with both wacky and fan favorite character selections.Not to mention that the game seems like majority of the characters are playable but its too early to really say that.
So people save your complaining until the game comes out and just shut the heck up until then.
I don't think these releases are weak at all. All of the characters in the game use some type of weapon and She-Hulk is the only character that takes you away from that. she's the only one to use bare hands and etc. That's probably why she feels lame because she doesn't use a projectile or a weapon. Thank goodness, I'm glad they finally put someone one who plays differently. It's obvious that She-Hulk plays like a Professional wrestler. Yep Hulk uses the ground as a projectile. Wolverine has claws...etc etc.. You got claws, guns, beams, magic and etc. She Hulk is very original, looks like the underdog, but you'll be surprise how powerful she'll be.
Zero makes me feel like that there's no use for Mega Man. With his inlcusion, it looks like Classic Mega Man is inevitable, but I hope I'm wrong.
Finally my final guy! My team is now complete! Come on Marvel for Dante, Magneto and Zero! Its gonnae be legend wait for it....

MODOK/She-hulk or any other character you never heard of are awesome, and they have their own fan base. You are just a bunch of ignorant kids who don't know s***. If you follow marvel comics you know that MODOK for example was a being promoted for a while now. Marvel even made a whole internet series just for him. She-Hulk was promoted by Marvel too. The problem is not the inclusion of those characters, the problem would be is both characters make out some betters chars. And Still, marvel fans are NOT the only guys who gonna buy this game. Don't see why people are nerd ragin on the roster. IT covers a wide basis. You have your returning cast, obscure characters, and new popular characters that haven't been in a fighter before. There's something for everyone and people keep bitching because the list doesn't lean to the one section you love more. If you add an MVC2 or TvC character people bitch and if you don't include everyone's favorite from that series another group bitches. If anything this is the most diverse roster of any game I've ever seen. Each character looks VERY different in playstyle. The point of the roster is not for you to love every character, but to find characters within it you love. If you seriously can't find 3 cool characters in this list your a f*cking elitist twat.
Personally I'm digging the obscure characters and imagine this game will have a lot of tier shifting as people begin to figure characters out (I suspect Thor is better than we assume).

@89 Dude, people complain here about things they don't even know. If you are a real marvel fan, you would love all the small quirks that marvel and Capcom added here and there like the call outs. If you are a Capcom fan, you would love all the different type of characters they added with all the different styles of game play. So when some random guy just says this game is lame or this character is unknown. It pisses me off because they are either ignorant or trolls.
Feels like they're trying so hard to make a game with about a dozen great characters and two dozens of trash filler characters, just so they can offer REAL characters later for DLC... like Cammy, Akuma, Cyclops, Gambit, Red Hood from darkstalkers, etc...
Or maybe they'll just release a Super/Turbo MvC3 standalone version with all the popular requests for another 50$ next year.
This... is gonna rock. It stinks that his Dark Hold Lv3 move is replaced with a stellar slash and yet... it reminds me of the C-Slash move he used in X5.
One thing is for sure...... this game sure is colorful and amazing when it's in action. I am still waiting for some of my favs from marvel to show up. These are just SOME of the ones I would like to see in MVC3. Atleast put one of these characters in lol!!

I'll be glad when they reveal the new movie trailer to see new silhouettes. Like I said, She Hulk looks weak because she doesn't use a weapon or projectile of sort, but I bet she's powerful. You could say the car, but that's a Ultra Move doesn't count. If you think about it there's nothing fancy about She Hulk's fighting style in the comics, she's a simple fighter, so what you see fits. The character roster is looking good so far, I hope they reveal the new movie trailer next week or sometime this week!

I totally want Apocalypse and Nightcrawler, but it's probably not happening. Apocalypse would have to be a boss, and Wesker already took all of Nightcrawler's moves away. The same way Punisher isn't in the game because Chris is there. RE characters ruin everything!
The only one on that list I'd say is possible is Psylocke, but is she really popular enough to make it back? Hell, Gambit has already been struck off, what does that say for her and the other girls? I'd say add them just because we need more chicks, but who knows.

My friend is a damn nerd and is trying to pin down all the Zero moves he saw in the video. For example, Rekkouha from X6 and Sougenmu/Twin Dream from X5. He says C-Slash was part of his rolling air combo and never let out a projectile. He's still trying to pin down where the Level 3 is from and what it is. I miss Dark Hold. :(
She-Hulk doesn't seem flashy and she is limited to melee combat, however, with her strength, agility and command grabs, she looks like she can do a f***load of damage when used properly (more so than most of the characters so far). I plan to try her out.
And just because she's green doesn't mean she's automattically unattractive you picky bastards. Besides it's not like you're playing as Deadpool or Hulk because you think they're hot am I right.
To the people bitching. What the hell do you want as the roster?!? Seems people are coming down on Capcom for appealing to many groups and adding a huge spread of diversity. Capcom gets heat for so many clones characters in their games and the second they step out of the box you get people bitching because they can't live out their inner nerd fantasies by playing 40 mixes of obscure ninja/super villian mixes they appeals to them alone.
I think Capcom said their were a ton of potentials and there will naturally be disappointment because you simply can't fit them all. They're doing the best to make sure each group can be happy.

I appreciate the effort, but you'll have to get used to it. These people complain about every last goddamn character that gets added. It's absolutely pitiful and I feel bad for their existence in this world. Roster diversity doesn't matter, neither does the fact that 95% of the roster is made up of some of the most popular characters to ever come out of either company. Who knows Psylocke might be the extra character that Seth said about squeezing in and Apocalypse could be the one to replace Sentinel. Apocalypse doesn't have to be a boss character and doesn't have to be an over-sized giant, there's many ways they could make him. Plus Hulk needs someone bigger than him for him to smash lol.
It won't surprise me for those who want Haggar in, actually gets fired up and wished Zangief was in instead lol. Personally, I expect Haggar to play similar to Cody and Zangief. you know able to use a bar, bat, etc.
I think a lot of people are also forgetting that MvC3 has a storyline; the storyline needs to work.
Canon-wise most of the Marvel cast is extremely powerful and/or immortal. Who else is capcom going to put into the game that can realistically fight people like Dormammu or Super-Skrull?
I think just for story balance X's Zero (also known as the God of Destruction) WAS a good choice instead of X, Protoman, Bass, Megaman Zero's Zero, etc. Because he is one of the most powerful (if not THE most powerful) characters in the entire Megaman series.
In fact he is the most powerful Capcom character other than Amaterasu. So stop crying that Capcom is doing a bad job in picking characters. They actually seem like they are trying to make it all work.
@90 & @21 - the only two brilliant comments period. i would love to see commando in the game or some of my other favorites. are they going to make it?! most likely not. but, that just gives rise to change, and if you can't do it go back to mvc2 where only 12 characters out of 56 are even playable. i've played marvel 2 throughout its whole lifespan, and if this was a test, marvel 2 got a 21% (an F for those of you who don't know math lol) in diversity as fun as it is. this sequel has shown evidence time and time again of diverse playstyles. to me the vs. series isn't about yours or my favorite characters it's more about character playstyle and if your team can coordinate or mesh well. my favorite comic book character may be wolverine, but will i play him if he can't coordinate with my team well, no. so stop complaining until the game comes out. try new things, or stick to the large but realistically small roster of mvc2. just because veteran characters or fan favorites didn't make the cut, doesn't mean it's going to be a bad game. lastly, this game isn't slow. yes it's true that it looks slower than mvc2. but if anyone on this site has played mvc2 since it first came out when they were 13 or so, do you remember how slow magneto, storm, or sentinel were before people found out about rush downs like 5-7 years later?! yeah they were effin' slow. it's going to take time before this game picks up speed because for one no one has played the final build yet, and two no ones practiced on it period to find little quirks or exploits in the game. i rarely comment on eventhubs but i gotta put some of you babies to bed.

In the end the choices were not bad it's just...underwhelming considering what we already knew.

Doesn Haggar already have a dropkick like She-Hulk but I guess Capcom NEEDED a non-SF grappler on their side.
Every character has a potential to be the best. It's up to the player that has the potential or not to use that character...

Nobody will be happy with the roster anyway, because a group will be bashing the game saying: "the game sucks because don't have Danny Rand and Luke Cage, Galacta, Squirre Girl, etc. etc." and other group will be saying "the game sucks because don't have any MH/LP chars,CapCom or Jin saotome" blah blah blah.
Just play the game guys. And be happy, i prefer 32+ different characters and variated rankings a tiers, to have a roster where you only use 12 characters.

She-Hulk? Hmmm from what I've seen, she seems a mix of fuerte and Abel. (Looks like she had a rekka style move at :40)
It's too early from me to judge. I like the fact that she wasn't a clone of Hulk as everyone may assume.

I was rooting for more Marvel females and I know you can't really judge a character by one little video, but I have to agree with people saying She-Hulk looks boring, and her costume doesn't help much either.
I guess we'll just have to wait for a walkthrough from S-kill to have a better idea about her gameplay.

I liked Zero in TVC so this is really cool, although it would have been truly awesome to see the Megaman Zero version. But hey, X needs a rep to keep the riots in check.
She-Hulk WAS a surprise. But she looks pretty dang cool. As long as they keep working on her, she'll turn out very nice.
Oh and in regards to the "No Akuma because Ryu, but She Hulk with Hulk" statement, She Hulk does NOT look like she plays anywhere as close to the Hulk as Akuma does to Ryu.
Plus, I highly doubt there will be more shotos other than (hopefully) Dan.

Seemingly noone remembers bitchin about the Marvel roster having no sexy females....you finally got one and you kick her to the curb? She-Hulk in all honesty is one SEEXXXY character....and it seems like I only use sexy females in fighters lol....SSF4-Rose, Cammy, Viper....anyways...I can see the point in which her fighting style seems kinda brutish....but she is a HULK...so she doesn't give a s h it about breaking nails, she buttslams the hell out of people.
All in all I'm excited about the characters they are releasing. I'm kinda sick of reading this website full of people being pissy and just whining about everything, when you could look at it from a different perspective. This is Capcoms most diverse cast yet. They both look pretty good but I'd be more apt to play as She Hulk but Zero (as much as I like X more)looks so-so to me. The game already has a good solid roster and anything beyond this won't affect my decision on getting this game. But I'm still crossing my fingers for Shuma so long as he has one or two new moves.

I grew up with Mega Man X2. Thank god Capcom decided to use Zero's theme in X2. Best game from the X series.
As much as I dig Shulkie, I think she should have been added way back in MvC1. Red She Hulk would have been a better choice given the fact that she's newer, a villain-ness (or anti-heroine, if you prefer), uses weapons, and is a great opponent for the Hulk (given the in-game dialogue that could have been between them). Design wise, she's also eye-catching (who doesn't like red?) and menacing.
I applaud that Marvel has another female, but the "New Adventures of Old Betty Ross" would have made a more interesting pick than Jenny, IMHO. As for Zero, we've been deprived of him for so long, that TvC isn't enough. Keep him coming.

Yea, I think Nightcrawler and Apocolypse could be tonic, BUT I think that Psylocke has a better chance of making the cut out of all of the ones I mentioned (I STILL think that Mr. Sinister would be just sweet as hell tho,lol). She fits the whole figting game universe being a Frontline fighter for the X-Men. Lets face it, Psylocke is a bada$$ in the comics, and her transition makes it easier over some, or maybe even most. But hey, they have made up some CRAZY fighters for this series lol, so ya never know WHO could make the cut. Come on Sinister!!!! lol

To those that say that Zero's moveset is a rehash from TvC need to look a little closer and see that they are actually pretty different.
(Based on the trailer) All the Hyper moves changed and most of the normals/specials are (at least appear) different.

And Zero having a similar moveset is just like Ryu/Chun-li/any other character that has been in a previous fighting game.
No reason to make a big deal out of it just because this is only (Megaman X version) Zero's second appearance.
Even though I haven't played the game She-Hulk looks like she has some good poke attacks to keep the opponent off balance, and her command grab looks like it has some pretty good range too. Not to mention her slide attack to keep the tiny characters from rushing her down...Nice. Overall she did some pretty BIG damage like her cousin, Hulk. But something tells me from the looks of the video, she MIGHT share some similarities such as Adon and Abel from SSF4 in terms of gameplay that is. Whatever don't take my word for it, I think she's a nice addition to the game.
As for Zero, what can I say? He's awesome, Akuma-like combos were we go!!

Looks like she's gets the award for most grappling-est character in MVC3(so far) I guess MMX Zero was a no brainer - but they did want MMX Mega-man, Capcom. Still, we get no clarification on Haggar's 'accidental' reveal, or the 'blue arm', or even, now that I think about it - the mystery pilot who everyone thought was Frank West.
It looks like TVC vets are more of a shoo-in than I thought - after all, that game was Wii exclusive.
On a side note, I hope Zero isn't spammable...I can see the kiddies picking him almost as much as Ryu. And a crazy idea...they haven't revealed any charge characters yet. Maybe they're waiting to introduce Bison and charge characters at the same time?)

Vision would be a pretty cool character to play if they wanted to continue The Avengers theme. Ant-Man/Giant Man would be pretty cool too. The only character that can turn into a giant similar to Son Son or to something as small as Servebot, but super fast. Starting to think they missed boat on that one.

Saying they're "lazy" for bringing them back from TVC isn't valid, because they have to go through the same amount of work for them as any other returning or new MVC3 character (HD remodelling of the character, their moves, etc, plus balancing and changing their moves within the confines of this character and relation to the other characters and... you know what? I already covered this.)
I mean, really, if you guys can come up with a valid argument for why they shouldn't be in the game beyond just personal preference or some inane argument about how including them is lazy, let me hear it. I'm all ears.

Ok, I love the X series, and Zero is extremely cool, but his inclusion is just another slap in the face of the die hard X fans who still have gotten no love. Zero has already been included in CvS Chaos, TvC and is GUARANTEED a spot in any MMX game. We get it Capcom, you like Zero, we do too but stop shoving him down our throats and give us the reason he even exists and not another recycled TvC character.
Ok,so Zero's inclusion isn't THAT bad. He's a great character if not some what overused at the moment. I'll deal with that and be happy for it. Likewise, I fully support underdog and lesser known characters. S. Skrull was a cool idea to get the fantastic four "in" the game. But she-hulk????? Come ON, as everyone has said, she looks BORING. She's a mixture of Colossus, El Fuerte, Abel and Vega with none of the good parts. For God's sake you're including in your game a super powered, sexy (sounds great so far, right? She-Hulk is a fine addition. She's had a strong following when it comes to comics for years now, and her movelist looks fun and unique.
Zero has some noticeable differences from his TvC version, most notably his hypers, as well a handful of different properties on his new moves. I have a feeling he won't be as dominating this time around, which is a good thing.

I would love to see her, but I also want to see Sylphie from Forgotten Worlds, she would have some of Lynn's moves, Tessa's (from Red Earth), Mai Ling (Red Earth) and Makoto, she would be like the Super Skrull of Capcom, but with a prettier face.
The slinging around of the word clone is like calling Deejay a clone of gulie when it's really a variation with a move or two that's similar however Deejay has his uppercut move and Dread kicks and his anti air is much more forward moving as well as his drastically different normals.

Haha She-Hulk looks pretty good. I can see her being pretty dangerous if you have some good assists with the other characters. She probably won't be the highest tier, but it'll still be fun to play her (HOPEFULLY).
The only thing I don't like is that her run looks ridiculously stupid. The lines appearing behind her is supposed to make her look as if she's running fast, but she travels the screen pretty slowly.

I'm not really feeling the roster or the game for that matter. But I can understand the pain one has to endure trying to satisfy the many fans out there while trying to appeal to the status quo, like having to maintain;
1) a sense of variety
2) a good male/female character ratio
3) proper representatives/mascot
Anyway, from what I'm seeing, I don't think I'll be picking up the game anytime soon.
In terms of the Character list i actually like nearly all the characters except for Doom and She-Hulk. Doom only because he is a great character and i will probably play as him, but out of all the old characters he looks the least changed physically and move wise, as well as he hasnt done anything really huge in the past 10years in my recollection, so beyond the fact he was in MvC2 theres not alot of reason to add him(this is my own opinion and he looks fun to play so i dont hate him, just dont like his look compared to other chars). And She-Hulk because of the same reasons, in terms of gameplay she isnt a clone(thank god) and she defintly plays differently then i thought she would, but again she hasnt done anything truly important besides the fact that she is a character in the marvel universe that isnt stupid when you actually read the comics. Overall though i love all the characters, even MODOK cause i know someone will be so mad when he turns out to be top tier and everyone has to play him in tourneys XD. As for list hating you dont need to like all of them, you just need to like some of them, and before the she hulk and nathan spencer announcments the list was damn awesome, now its going into just okay territory.

I hope Zer-O isnt broken because those combos that were being excuted were crazy. Unless it was just for show being that it was a Zer-O debut.
She-Hulk has gotten several critically acclaimed and quite popular storylines over the past couple of years. It's not surprising Marvel wants to give her a little push with this game. Electra was popular at one point, but with a movie that flopped and limited popularity today I'm not surprising they avoided her. Rogue, like Psylocke were big in the 90s, but not so much these days. Storm had a bit of a push in the comics lately, with her marriage to Black Panther and all, so I wouldn't be surprised to see her be included in this game. I would love to see Emma Frost, though, but you can't have everything. And with the X-Men movie licence (and associated games) being in the hands of companies other than Marvel, I'm not surprised the X-Men have a limited presence in this game. Same goes for the Fantastic Four as well.
What people fail to realize is that the Marvel roster is largely determined by the current state of the comics and movies, rather than the desires of MvC2 fans, or people who were heavily into Marvel comics in the 90s.
What I'm getting at is that there are a lot of factors coming into play with roster selection. And this goes beyond "what the fans want" because fans aren't really the target audience. They've got your attention already, and despite all the complaining most fans will go out and buy the game regardless. Marvel and Capcom's first order of business is to attract new players and promoting whatever franchises they seem appropriate.
