Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer, Ryota Niitsuma, mentioned today via Twitter that more character announcements would be taking place next week.

Niitsuma reiterated in Japanese that he thinks fans will be surprised, so there is likely going to be some unexpected people announced.

Personally, I wish they would go back to the drawing board with this. Get rid of the kiddy characters - viewtiful, prat from G&G, Tron whateva, I can't stand them.

man is it me or something is a bit fishy with the MvC 3 reveals next week. Something tells me ono is behind this. Do any of you guys sense rainbow mika out of curiosity? I also have a suspicion that Doc octopus is going to be in the game and sheva alomar from Res5. Just a guess but it seems right to put them in.
Sakura Juri and Megaman! (its weird for her not being in another crossover game since shes popular) Juri because shes really unique and has a extremly popular compared to the other SF 4 characters) and Megaman (a game is nothing without him i mean hes one of the mascots for capcom)

I use to be hyped about them announcing characters, but ever since they started waisting slots on characters like Arthur, MODOK, Tron Bonne, Viewful Joe. When they should have been placed with characters like Gambit, Venom, Donovan, Blanka, Seth, Jin Saotome, Ruby Heart, Gene, Strider or Kenji. I would say Captain Commando, because he has been a Veteran in the MvC series since the begining and more than likely he will not be in it. Also on another note I think it is really STUPID that they only have CHICKS representing the DarkStalkers. Seriously .....WTF????????
Hopefully some good characters. I just feel as if I will be personally disappointed to the characters they decide to revel next week.
ain't no reason why cyclops shouldn't be playable in the game. hes been in cota, xvsf mvhvsf mvc1 as an assist and mvc2. cyclops is pretty much one of the best leaders in marvel universe. the avengers have there leader and so should the xmen and not just focus on wolverine in a team based game.

Well he said surprises, which means more recognizable silhouettes as well. SO it sounds like a new trailer with new characters and some more details about the game that people are waiting to see. It better be good surprises, because it's been a long wait. She Hulk and Haggar wouldn't be an interesting surprise.

Photoshopped. You can kinda tell if you look at shuma gorath and how the names are slightly misaligned. Also art is done early for characters so it wouldn't make a ton of sense to have those names anywhere, AND the source has never been stated.

You know that by the time that illustration came out, I'm sure they had the base movesets done for every character in the game already. By this point, it's difficult for them to squeeze in stuff like that. It's too late into development. They're not going to see a fan moveset for Megaman, go "gee, that's pretty cool", and dump all the work they had with their current design (including the animations for moves that they planned on him having) and rebuild him to match that.
The game is months away, yes, but do you know that games are usually 95% done a few months before actual release date? The rest of the time goes into last minute polishing, and then obviously getting everything ready for the game to be shipped out.
In other words, I'm saying it's really unrealistic to expect what you're expecting by this point. If the moveset was made while the game was early in the development stages, then I'd say there's at least a chance (even if it's a minimal chance) that they'd use that moveset.
This assumes Megaman is already in the game though. I'm sure he is, so that's not a problem

I agree with #7. I would love to see Megaman Zero version of Zero in the game. He seems much more suitable than the old school Zero, which was suitable for Tatsunoko.

Why do all the scrubs want f@#king Mike Haggar? He's the least interesting character they could possibly put in this game and compared to the other characters and their flashy moves, he's going to be lacklustre beyond compare... will be such a waste to put him in... he hasn't been in any decent game in over 10 years...
