They haven't announced anyone new for MvC3 in November yet, so we're due for two more characters any time.
Interesting news to hear. So apparently, Poison will not be in SSF4 AE. I wonder if this also means that Hugo will not make an appearance as well. If I am right, Poison serves as his valet? Hmmm.... I wonder if Elena will be added now. Especially after the comment of her inclusion supposedly after Makoto?? Lets hope. I am wondering if it is safe to assume that Hugo, R.Mika, and Rolento will not be in it due to previous statements made by Ono. Should be interesting in a couple of weeks indeed.
Elena will be my main, I don't care if she is worse than Makoto I will main and win with her.
I would love Elena and it'd be nice to have her get some SSF4 styled combos in addition to her juggling potential.
As far as Poison goes, that's a good question if s/he'll appear as playable or just as Hugo's side person, or if Hugo will show up at all. I think it'd be cool to have Poison as playable.

For 16 -Ono didn't confirm she isn't in. He said the truth will come out (there are ways to avoid answering a question without saying so); also he cannot tell or hint whomever the character was for corporate reasons. She wasn't deconfirmed by the lost phone number either (Quote Ono MIGHT have hinted who wasn't in the game keyword : Might)
I hope Elena is in the game too. It'd be nice see her and play has here along with her 3rd Strike combos. I wouldn't say that she would suck =^). The character is only good in the hands of the opponent.
On another note, it's interesting her name is coming up a lot. She has popularity both here and Capcom Unity (she's at 9% for most wanted characters for SSFIV DLC). I really do hope she's in and if she isn't, oh well (I will not cry over a game). We'll see when he's in Moscow to reveal those characters for SSFIV and SFxT

wonder who from the tekken cast will join in. i have a sure feeling the fan favorites like Paul, Yoshimitsu, Heihachi, B.Fury., Julie..etc. pretty much the cast from T1-T3. and FORGET about any Devils! why becuse this game is run by Capcom, and you know how they wont add 2 of the same characters in one game. ssf4 wouldn't have it, i doubt SfxT will. maybe TxSf but the fact that they gotta add sf charcters to their roster makes it unlikely. i never asked for any evil, or devil characters in any game, but i wouldnt mind if they integrate a feature that makes your character look evil. There are 2 ways i know how,
1st- Just like guile puts on his glasses, your character could change ONLY his look by inputting down and taunt
2nd- Integrate it into a costume colour. One of Sakuras colour's from her Alt1 (i ithink colour 9) features her in only a yellow like shirt and her red bottoms, where most of her Alt1 is actually another karate gi just on top of her shirt. they could do that the same way

It's easy enough to translate Kazuya, what with his jumping spinning demon basically working like Cyke's cyclone kick, and his Thunder God Fist being VERY close to a Shoryuken, among other easily translated moves...
But for characters like Yoshimitsu or Lei, it would be FAR more difficult to find SF friendly moves.
Capcom's got some work ahead of them.
Anywho, I'd like to see some ideas for how they could bring Tekken characters like Law or Paul to the SF system.
Personally, I think Law would be a charge character.
I personally would LOVE to see Elena in SSF4 Arcade Edition. I used Elena as my Main in SF3, and would definitely do so again IF she is indeed added to the current roster. I like Elena for the Capoeira fighting style that she uses and I personally like the options of having an all kicks fighter.
I know that there are many people who do not think she would be a good addition to the cast, but at the same time, there are many who would like to see her in. Either way, whether she is in or not..... the new characters (whomever is added) are not going to please everyone, which is understandable. Everyone has their own favorites. BUT, I personally would love to have her and Rolento in. Alex could be a go too tho..... Hmmmmm. Can't wait to hear the news.

Ekena would certainly be an interesting addition. I would think she is more unique than we think especially dealing with all kick buttons. We need more interesting fighters. I think Elena, alex, and Karin would be great additions.
I guess we have to wait a few more weeks.
@ MrPavy.... I dunno.... I mean, Elena does have the moves to compete in SSf4, I mean she has more special moves than Juri lol.... BUT at the same time, it is in how the player utilizes that character...I hardly ever see a good Hakan player, but that does not mean that they certainly are not out there. Unless she is at more of a disadvantage because of factors such as walk speed, reach, and most importantly, how much health/ stamina they have. She has reach being a kicker, but I believe how fast she is able to execute those kicks and her move set will determine how "useful" she is.
I love Juri and believe she would/ could be a higher tier character IF they improved her walk speed (which, thankfully, they apparently have for AE because she is slower than hell) and if they gave her a little more health. I just like the kickers lol..... I dunno.......

im not really hating on Elena at all,but she was actually able to do pretty good in 3rd strike due to her normals being so odd i always get confused whether or not some of her moves are overhead.what elena needs in SSF4 is a faster walk speed and To have Great pokes and speed on her special moves

And I know your not hating on Elena bro;) You are just saying that with SF4's game mechanics, she may not be as good as she was in SF3, which makes sense seeing how badly Makoto's transference was (according to some; though I dont play her at all and cannot say for myself.) It will be interesting for sure in a couple of weeks!
i personally think the most standout characters of the sf3 franchise were dudley, makoto(already added), oro, alex, elena, and urien. i personally would like sean to be in it, but i know how people have such hate for shoto chars(though, he fights nothing like a typical shoto), i'm looking forward to and hoping that elena, and alex at least make the cut, i'd be satisfied knowing that they weren't overlooked. i would of loved to see seans mixup game with the basketball in 4 though, that would of been interesting.
also, how can you not get hyped for more sf x tekken and arcade edition news, capcom is doing the damn thing right now..i just hope they show some appreciation to the fans with some free downloadable extras, nothing too major, but something to show that they at least have some gratitude torwards the community. making the game just isn't enough in this day and age, that's a given if something's successful. free downloadable content shows the fans that you honestly appreciate them. you don't know how surprised i am to see free downloadable content online for games, like a map pack addon, or something like that..it shows that the company appreciates us.

@ Raven, yea thats what a lot of people say about Makoto... I do not use her. I have tried, but her style of play just doesn't fit with my style of play. AND because she is slower than Juri... and JURI IS SLOW. With no fireballs, its hard for someone like Makoto to get in close with out being whittled down by specials from a distance. SHe is Devastating in the right hands....but not mine lol.
If Rolento makes it in. Then he'd definitely be my new main!

it all depends on the size of the roster but we are at the very least promised the world warriors. Then we need some villains so the 4 bosses almost have to be in. Slots are gonna be tight since half the cast is tekken, so they need to get in the best designed/most diverse characters in the game, so we prob wont see a river of shotos. Having both ryu and ken might honestly be too much shoto when u consider that we will only have prob 16-20 max slots.
But Jin and Kazuya are going to be in. Therefore Ryu and Ken will be in.
And seriously, I think it has to be at least 26 slots. They aren't gonna KOF XII this game.
Either they're gonna do the cast rival style where every character has a counterpart, e.g. Steve Vs. Dudley, or they're gonna just try and bring in more missing Capcom characters they haven't used in 4.

Considering the trailer, I assume Ryu and Dan are already going to be in the game. And I guess that Sakura, Ken and Akuma will be in the game also (though I can't think of a Tekken counterpart for Ken). So that would be 5 shotos. I say 30-40 slots, especially if it is a 2v2 type game.
Dan is in the Trailer, so hopefully, he is confirmed. I wonder what his Rival would be...
