Yoshinori Ono and Christian Svensson let Capcom fighting game fans know that they'll have something more to get excited about in the near future.Ono: So I'll visit Moscow on November 20-21st. [I'm planning to announce some] Super Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter X Tekken news. And I'll have a special animation movie. It's localized.
[Also, we have a] pre-Gold master [of] SSFIV Arcade Edition for arcade. We will have final master soon ;D
I heard someone from Capcom said MvC3 will have around 40 characters by the time the game is done. I'm hoping they get like 44 or 46.
Svensson: Actually, we've only ever said, "at least 30," just to set expectations.
And while I'm not going to say when more character reveals will happen, there will be important news shared soon.

Hopefully we will hear and see more characters for SSF IV and we won't just receive the inevitable "news" that A.E. will be offered as DLC.
I wonder what the special animation movie will be? And what does "localized" mean when they will be showing it in Moscow? It will be in Russian? Japanese? English? What?

Well, he did say earlier that they found a problematic bug that set the release date back to later than December as planned. It wouldn't surprise me if this was due to having to fix the fault, resulting in a new gold master needing to be made.
Localised means in languages other than Japanese. Remember that the Japanese are very self-sufficient and that's how they will think of it. I expect English, perhaps EFIGS if they are committed to localisation. Heck, could even see soem Cyrillic, but I doubt it ;)
Characters for AE are organised in pairs. Yun and Yang, plus Alex and Hugo for 3S (twins, rivalry).
I'm guessing, Retsu, Birdie, Eagle, Sodom, Karin, elena or Poison. Urien liley won't apppear because his unblocakbles are not easily implementable in game. Aegis IS Urien.
@5 I actually don;t think they will add Bison though could be cool. They should add Dr Wily though.
oh lets just stop with the sean stuff.. they (hopefully) arent going to bring chars into the game that are basically already in the game. we dont need a guile clone, guile is a high tier turtle.. thats good enough. alex, urien, q.. chars like these have unique fighting styles that would change the game.. these are the types of characters we should be rooting for.
Sean would be best left for Street Fighter V. We are all basically asking for every single character in the SF universe to make it into SSF IV and that just ain't possible. Given how Street Fighter X Tekken and Street Fighter V are most definitely in the works i wouldn't be too disappointed if i had a favorite character which did not make the cut in SSF IV A.E...chances are he/she will likely be in one of the upcoming SF games. Remember, even SF X T will be a proper SF game at heart
It will come down to fan demand, not unique style. We already have 7 shotos after all.
No need for Charlie, but after Alex and Hugo it would be nice to see more unique styles like Elena and R. Mika for example. Poison is in TxSF, it would be awesome to have her in SF4 though, how will she fight? :)
We just need some MVC3 announcements SOON.

i would be okay with that, but it is likely that they'll save some of the better characters for sfxt and street fighter v (whenever that may be).. because honestly.. no matter the street fighter game were all going to be begging for the same chars no matter what. if urien, alex, r.mika, q, karin, rolento, etc all get put into ssf4 and not into sfv or sfxt.. we'll still be begging for them then.
also, look for more chars from the sf series who dont have projectiles to be saved for sfxt.
Street Fighter X Tekken-I'm excited to hear about Street Fighter X Tekken. Looks interesting (plus can't wait to see the characters).
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition- I'm hoping for the arcade edition to see Elena and Karin (mostly Elena with a unique style "Capoeria"). I wonder what happened with the news of 6 DLC for SSF4?...... hmm still hope it happens. (Yun, Yang, Elena, Karin, ?, ?) how about R. Mika and Alex in those places X^D

Everyone wants elena in, so she'll probably make it. Characters are introduced in pairs, so...Elena and R.Mika? (they both lack the Y chromosome, and are wearing very little...but that's about it as far as similarities go)
I can see Alex and Hugo being put in, but then there'd be too many SF3 characters...possibly Rolento and Sodom instead?

"Everyone" does not want Elena. A small, but vocal, group doesn't equal everyone.
Adding two more 3S characters wouldn't be too many. You seem to be confused as to the balance of Alpha to 3S characters in SSFIV. Seven Alpha characters. Five 3S (including the twins). It's not improbable at all that they would want to balance it out. Unfortunately with Ono around we may get even more Alpha characters. I'd personally prefer some exciting characters... It's no coincidence that, in the right hands, the three 3S characters are, arguably, the most fun and compelling to watch in SSFIV.
marvel 3 news takes forever.if this isn't the greatest fighting game of all time i will be upset. capcom is sure making it sound like it will be.

Personally, I'd love to see any of the Alpha characters, but I think some SF3 characters could ruin things. Q, Necro, Urien, Twelve just seem like they don't fit.

I really wanna see Q. Alex looks fun too. As for MvC3 there isn't anyone I can think of. I was hoping for a Power Stone character but they deconfirmed those guys :(
@33: My bad - shouldn't have said 'everyone'. That being said, I've seen loads of people request Elena, not just on eventhubs, but on capcom-unity too. It may very likely be just a minority of people who want her in, but that just isn't the case from what I've seen. My original post is simply based upon what I've seen, but yeah, as I've said, I shouldn't have said that 'everyone' wanted elena in, sorry about that.
And there's really 7 Alpha characters? o.o again, my bad. I still keep thinking of characters like Cody, Guy, Rolento, and Sodom as Final Fight reps only, instead of Alpha reps as well as FF reps for some reason. Also, I love SFIII:3S as much as the next guy, but I don't find dudley and ibuki players any more interesting to watch than most of the other characters in the game. Makoto is an exception, but only because you can't help but root for someone who's supposedly the worst character in the game tier list-wise (even though that's not saying much in this game, which is pretty well-balanced in general)
I hope if bison does make the mvc3 roster(we need a sf villain right?) that they use the turbo/cvs2 verison not the alpha verison that was in the vs games.

I like your roster alot but i don't want to see that many shotos. We already know ryu dan and probebly ken are in it, so why can't akuma and sakura just sit this one out?
I know there are alot of akuma lovers out there but should we be pushing for a roster with gameplay variety?
I'm hyped for sf x tekken. Can't wait for the news. I'm tired of ssfiv arcade rumors just give me a date on the console dlc and I'm good. MVC3 I want to see the final announcement already and they can just reveal the characters it's getting annoying making assumptions.

Super Street Fighter IV: Karin, Charlie, Urien and Q. Tired of people wanting more grapplers. We already have Zangief, T.Hawk, El Fuerte. Seth and Abel too if you want to count Seth's SPD and Abel's Tornado Throw. We don't need Alex, and we don't need Hugo.
Marvel vs Capcom 3: Vergil, Megaman X, Zero.

youre crazy.. if you push for less shotos you obviously push for dan to be eliminated.. hes a joke. akuma has the most unique fighting style of all the shotos and is the main villian in the sf series.. they arent going to leave him out.

Friend I do push for dan to be eliminated, akuma is a personal favorite shoto of mine but capcom has already confirmed dan in a trailer, since i have a feeling there will only be 17 sf characters i want as much variety in this roster as i can get and the less shotos the more room there is for a stunning varied and exciting cast of characters.
p.s Bison is the main villain of the sf series not akuma
i could swear that i'd heard somewhere that for the most part in SFXT they wanted to stick with the more 'classic' or somewhat 'iconic' characters from both series.
that meaning more than likely from SF we would get characters from SF2 up to ST. and as for tekken it would get characters mostly from tekken 1 up to 3.
as for TXSF maybe then we could see some of the later characters appear. the bob's and juri's and all that...
for those interested in TXSF i have a feeling the new tekken tag is the beta lol... remember tvc anyone?

I am appaled. Nobody should eliminate Dan from any game (Which Is why I won't get MVC3, NO DAN! BOOOOO!)Because the sheer fact that he is a JOKE CHARACTER is to put him IN A GAME! I just want to beat the crap out of Heihachi with Dan (OR Hwoarang for that matter, I hate his Tae Kwon Do Spouting-Rich-Kid-Attitude) That, and if you can beat Zangief with Dan, You can beat anyone (Except FADCers.
