Mago, who recently won the GodsGarden SSF4 2.0 Online Tourney, participated in a Q&A session with Jason24cf.Q. If you could have added something to Fei long, what would you like to have seen added or adjusted?
A. I'm satisfied with Fei Long now in use. Dare to say, reduce the hitbox when cr.HP and make it can be cancelled from Focus Attack. In place of that, remove the Hard Chicken Wing invincibility and increase its recovery. I think it makes Fei Long's attribution emphasized. I think Fei Long is a character for footsies bit by bit. And I hope to change commands for FK and Tenshin.
Q. What are Fei’s most difficult match-up’s in your opinion? In those match-ups that you mentioned how do you approach them and what do you look for to help you gain an advantage back in Fei’s favor?
A. I feel it's hard when match up with Balrog (Boxer). All I can do is checking with vertical jump and show Focus. It makes to save Boxer's charge and rule my zone. I think I don't have enough experience with this match up. So I don't have much words to say :(
@Morm
Winning the online GodsGarden SSF4 tourney against the people he took down was very impressive, but I don't think you can call Mago the best player in the world right now hands down.
I'm saying it's up for debate. In round 1 of that tourney, he went 7-4 which placed him 4th overall, but went on to win it by going 5-0.
I think Mago has to win a few more major tourneys before he could be called the undisputed best SSF4 player on the planet.
mago the best? gamerbee would like a word with him....
He's not the best, because nobody is. No one knows everything yet. Statistically he's up there, but that's like saying a Great White Shark is the most dangerous shark in the world when such a title is highly contested by the Bull Shark. sorry if i like sharks a lot. =P
If you are talking about accomplishments, that title belongs to Daigo. He even has a record in Guiness World Record to prove it.
If you are talking about skills, there are are countless of extremely good players in Japan that rival Mago's skill level
If you are talking about being a legend though, he is definitely one with Daigo and very few others. That's something he'll always have.
daigo won what the first 3 games? he would of sent mago home period. Daigo got second at SBO where was mago? where was he last year at sbo? all he's won is capcom fighting jam lol
I think Mago is the best player on the planet at this very moment, his Fei Long is just pure ownage. However, couple of months ago it was all about Sako, and before that it was Daigo and Momochi.
They are all incredible players, it just happens that one of them plays better over a certain span of time.
@ SpaniardSRK
Mago's team lost to the same Momochi/RF/Kindevu that Daigo lost, so I think Mago's team came third. Mago won the first Gods Garden tournament. He beat Daigo in the loser's bracket and went on to beat Uryo in the finals. And iirc, Mago, Daigo, Tokido, Nuki and Sako are considered the 5 gods of 2d fighting games in Japan.
Mago is the best player in the world right NOW
Daigo didn't win anything major in Japan so you fanboys STFU
hmmm.. interesting interview. I would like to see Mago and other top Japanese players coming overseas more for major tournaments.. Not to mention other great players from around the globe either. Then we'll see who's potentially the best SSFIV player in the world. lol
Horrible title. Mago isn't some random new fei long player like the title seems to imply.
BADerRules
Do you have to constantly flame Daigo with every post you do? It's a bit obsessive :S
this is why these guys are like... icons. look at the feuding over them lol. why can't they both be accepted as really good, and we move on? why clamor about their wins, losses, or accomplishments? idc who's the "best" as that title can change at the drop of a dime anyway.
i'm really glad mago has picked up fei. owning the best ryu 10-4 is not something u wud come across very often.
I can see feilong goin up some tiers just because of mago, he not only beat the best ryu and cammy arround, he was very solid, and I'm pretty sure he could do it again....
