@Paine
Sorry, it's a damned if you do or damned if you don't thing here when it comes to spoilers. Many people don't like having the result spoiled for them before they have a chance to watch the videos. I wish I could make everyone happy here, but this is about as fair a middle ground as I could find.
I love these matches, but the only thing I don't like is that it's basically Ryu's theme nonstop! Wouldn't hurt to put on stage music once in a while, haha.
Excellent excellent matches that really show off a lot of great and advanced Ryu play from two of the best.
@ xaznharryx #4, Air is Canasian (Canadian Asian).
Although Valle is an awesome SF player, Air is superior to him on pretty much every level (far more training, better learning environment). Air's reactions and punish set-ups are spot on, Valle's are sometimes good but most of the time he does way less damage than he could/should've .
Wow. Ryu V Ryu matches.
Why not just post footage of real time rock errosion... ~_~
@9
This.
My favorite part of the video is when Valle hadoukened and then Air hadoukened at the same time(feel my sarcasm). Seriously i kno there has to be more interesting match-ups than two ryu players. He is such a favorited/OVERUSED character that this is honestly just a yawn fest. I couldnt even get past the first video. Both are good players but man i've had enough of Ryu seriously....didnt forget about you either Ken...
Valle was lucky Air played with North American internet handicap.. since he was used to real "green bars" from Japan :)
@TCman08
There really aren't that many top-level Ryu players so top-level Ryu mirrors are actually quite rare. There are a lot of mediocre and low level Ryu mirrors but they just don't compare.
*Cough.*

I don't generally find Ryu a very interesting character, but those matches were certainly enjoyable.
wait so who won? I do not see any "text to the right" text for me to see the results...
Oh never mind I see it now! wow, good way of hiding the results! lol
I guess I'm one of the only ones that think Ryu mirrors are intense.
"In the description for these clips, it was stressed that this was a online casuals match, so watch the videos below with that in mind."
Don't even need to bother with a spoiler tag, the above must mean Valle lost.
But that's all good, I'd rather watch paint dry than Ryu vs Ryu...
A lot of Valle's wins came from Air's reckless play rather than Valle outplaying him. The way Air shut down a lot of shenanigans was impressive too. He made Valle play straight up for most of the matches by avoiding a lot of footsie bait.
@Delirium
Wasn't trying to make excuses for Valle, it was simply what was posted in the text for the description of every video that 0ShinAkuma0 uploaded for this series, so I thought it was important to mention it in the story as well.
A 10-6 showing against one of the best Ryu players around is nothing to be ashamed of, IMO.
Good players and great matches but i have to agree Ryu vs Ryu mirror matched games are unexciting. The Rinse and repeat crouching MK >Fireball gets kind of boring. I guess if you played against Ryu SO MANY times as all of has there are no surprises.
If you are only here to be entertained then there is nothing to see here but for those of us who like to learn, this is a goldmine.
Good job to Air and Alex Valle!
@51
I don't understand your twisted logic. No matter what angle you view it from it still boils down to a mirror match of what most people consider the most boring character in the game. I don't need to watch something like this to learn "fundamentals", and it really doesn't matter to me who's behind the character in this instance. And before I forget, no one listens to the guy who says "STFU" in caps. Ever.
Oh cmon. I have no access to a computer this moment and have to resort to my phone just to get a "highlight to see spoilers" when my phone can't highlight. Airgen is one of my favorite ryu players so I hope he won.
