East Coast Throwdown 2 has finished up. It featured some excellent matches from top names in the community, as well as some surprising fresh faces.
I was raging when they let those 2 girls on the mic.
Hahahaha Chris Hu + 2 girls = the funniest most awkward conversation ever.
Just .... you had to watch it. Unbelievable stuff. The girls had no idea what was going on, had never seen the game before, and Hu kept rambling on and on and on .... and on and on, calling them "godlike models," and the girls kept being like "oh wow, this is a really cool game, i like their pink outfits," meanwhile the stream was either LOLing, HAHAing, shouting at the girls to get off the mic, or urging Hu to take them in the back and bang them.
I hope to god someone is taping this.
"I never seen this game before today" ....3 seconds later...do you girls play at home?
the video keeps cutting.. it makes me sad.. I wanted to see the rest of that Fei Long v Viper match =(
@23
Its funny, its not like ryu sucks or something, hes still really freakin easy to use still so i have no idea why people droped him OR sagat. But o well, it just shows peoples true colors.
277 entrants and only top THREE get paid? Does anyone else see a problem here?
Lol Ryu power was nerfed so I guess he isnt winning as easily as he was or maybe people are just tired of playing him??? We all no the the ansewer to that and Im shocked to see thats their is no seths or Sagats being dominant
@26
I think the bigger problem is that people are geting paid to play a video game LOL. But honestly, u know justin is gonna win or MAYBE(a big maybe) sanford. These other 200 guys are doin nothing but paying wongs rent with there entry fee lol.
I like that fact that Counterpick Rahsaan lost twice while counter-picking twice.
I wonder if he ever starts to play good with one character instead of average with 10. Well, maybe one day, when the stars align.
Good stuff to all who participated
Mr. Kellz, you may lost, but u showed class, one day you'll take wong out. Good luck.
#59 Because no other Fei Long player has done that well, besides Justin Wong of course. Those matches were pretty damn hype though beatin some big names like Sanford and Arturo.
Big ups to Inthul for the great play.
Yet again. J. Wong proves that America don't know how to deal with Rufus Dive kicks.
So lame; I really think something is wrong with North American players now. Go watch how Daigo f**ked up Jwongs Rufus.
People need to get up and analyze how to beat Jwong. And stop considering him the jesus of SFIV/SSFIV
Inthul said he plays Pad because he is pro.Does he not prefer pad but plays on one because he thinks it makes him pro?Should he be playing pad because he prefers to for a reason other than trying to look good?I liked him as a player until he made that pro = pad statement.Other than that statement awesome event good show and i hope to see PR Rog do better next time i see him in another tourney.
don't want to start a fuss here but don't you guys think rufus's ultra 2 is a little too much op ?
great anti-air / vacuum effect / not a lot of start up frames / great damage / great chip damage / easy to land / easy to combo into...
it seems that almost all your options are closed against him once he gets his ultra...
we saw sanford's sagat and his tiger shots being negated by this ultra
FlashM (Viper) tried HP thunder knuckle / ex seismo / EVEM TRIED ESCAPING the ultra by doing high jump and they all ended being of no use.
Considering Rufus already a very good character I think this might be a little to much lol...

It is actually not that good against non shoto chars. The viper matchup did change alot. See the thing is Viper is just a comback potential machine in any matchup. But right now Rufus ultra 2 is free chip damage from 3/4 of the screen.
It is not an overpowered ultra cViper rufus matchup is just alot worse now. 7-3 or 8-2 probably. Their are alot of bad matchups in SSFIV so they aren't gonna nerf an ultra because of 1 matchup. On a side note. A good Rog or Bison can shutdown Rufus completely in SSFIV.
Pad players no doubt deserve respect, but I don't think they should be allowed at tourneys. You can't hear their inputs and their reaction times are enhanced by the pad and the shortcuts in the input settings. That's an advantage in the mind games category. It should be a level playing field for everyone.
If anything they should get their own side tourney. Yes it's a choice to play pad but choosing one over the other isn't like choosing colors. We're talking dozens of hours of muscle memory training that you have to invest. I don't think you'll ever see a pad player win evo but theres a whole lot of pad players that would remain in obscurity were they forced to play on stick.
@ #65
Yes i agree. I thought the same thing when Wong used that ultra every time. It is way overpowered, can't deny that. I hope they nerf that, Rufus is already a very good character and with this Ultra he is ridiculously strong.
I almost suspect Capcom for giving Rufus this ultra to make it easier for Wong in his fights against Daigo.
@71 SERIOUSLY? If your comment isn't sarcasm, then you need locked in a mental hospital ASAP.
Inthul was by far the most impressive player i've seen lately.
What a moment when he beat Sanford's Cammy. When Sanford switched to Sagat after that i thought it was over for Inthul. But instead of that he finished it with a perfect.
What an amazing player!
#10 - lol, yup that ish was funny.
#71 - um what? no.
The last 5 or so of Inthuls fights were so hype. I was jumpin out of my chair every other second. Sanford = real classy dude.
with a pad or stick its takes execution if your 100 times better with a stick play with it if your 100 times better with a pad play with it Its about choice he has all the respect from just being in top 3. His skill beat Sanford not the device he did and abput his pad pro comment I agree
Shout out to Chris Hu for commentating on SSF4 matches which is funny.
Justins Whining after he lost the Third Strike final made me LOL :P
I want to thank all of the support you guys have shown to Inthul. He was in the lab training for a long time to make sure he was ready for this weekend.
Trust me when I say that this is not the last time you will see Inthul!
Once again thanks everyone!

Yeah, this is why Justin gets his ass handed to him, when he plays against Daigo. He's like at the top of the mountain in the US. Sure, he can play Sanford, Marn or Flash... but comm'n, everybody is afraid of him. Poor Flash yesterday... he is a beast... he can make Arturo cringe, and yet... he's dropping combos against Wong. It's really sad.
Can anyone explain to me why Inthul is using a dualshock 3? I mean wouldn't the dualshock 2 be better for Street Fighter considering the triggers on the R2 and L2 buttons on the dualshock 3?
pad players are cool but i have 2 use my ssfiv stick ahahha
LOL at how salty JWong was after losing 3rd Strike, and actually saying how Yun is broken when he uses Chun.
for those who haven't seen it:

Hope this will be good.
