Its funny how people study fighting in detail when they could be putting it to good use elsewhere.......like I dunno education for a career. They see 4-5 people make decent money off being pros and get suckered into spending so much money. Its just like people collecting sports cards. Its all cotton candy with no substance. Capcom loves it of course. Its like chasing the wind. People like Gootecks dont have to have real jobs, they just take advantage of the hype and make silly money on it for a short while.
@ #4 you dont need to memorize it. You just need to be able to draw some key takeaways for each character.
I was wondering if they were going to announce this yesterday while i was checking out Makotos own..and @jdigitalseven. you dont have to study it, but it is very useful if you dont have time to test out certain things and want to know how it works....and a example i learned yesterday while checking out makotos own , that here standing mp can link together well for hit confirms and is pretty safe on block.
@ 3
I commented to you on the Guile data page and I agree - people have been saying stuff along those lines - as well as Sonic Boom now being 50 frames charge instead of 55.
We'll just have to wait and see...
#7 it's funny how u took the time to write that paragraph instead of helping out the homeless... Nothing like a self righteous douche telling other people how to spend their time. If it's not something you personally enjoy or feel it's worth doing than move the hell on to another article instead of trying to act like your way of thinking is THE right and only way of thinking.
I'm sure many people told MJ that playing so much basketball as a kid wasn't the best way to spend his free time and now what? Sure the example doesn't apply everywhere but it comes down to MYOFB about what people do with their free time. /rant
@#15
Someone did this with Chun-Li. If you look at her SSF4 frame data it is color coded to show buffs and nerfs which is really useful. I'm hoping the other characters get the same color coding in time, but for now this is still really awesome. Thanks for taking the time to do all of it.
hell yeah Gilley, ive been waiting for the full frame data chart to come out(the website the strat guide gave out only has some of the frame data)
Gilley for SRK MVP but... Adon's overhead -2 on block and +2 on hit? His cr.lp is has 3 startup and that would mean you can't combo cr.lp after overhead. Am I reading this right or is that a inaccurate?
WOOOOOOOT!
But that Adon thing seems suspect. I'm fairly sure the overhead into c.LP is used in at least one of his trials.
But still, ...WOOOOOOOT!!
@#15 almost done. i was doing for myself but i am pretty handy with excel.
It's funny how douchebags like jdigitalseven, who make an account and spend time outta his day to bash people who study frame data. He could be doing something productive........ like I dunno education for a career. Dude I'm about to graduate from college and I love learning frame data.
First of all, I want to thank Gilley again for the frame data. A lot of people, myself included, really appreciate what he's done.
Secondly, I was wondering if eventhubs was going to give the frame data for these characters the same treatment the Chun Li frame data got; that is, highlight the changes with colors corresponding to whether they were buffs (green), or nerfs (red). I think that's a cool idea and want to see it implemented further.
found some stuff listed in the blanka section that was wrong. Just simple stuff like, it lists Cr.HP and Far.HK as special cancelable. So, remember to try this stuff out in training mor and post any mistakes :)
oh whoops. i guess naybe they are meaning to fadc cancel. my bad.
I would like to answer to this #7 *****, your msg it's simply rage crying, you're not able to read this frame list and flame other ppl who care about that, but like someone say it's called an hobby, an enjoyment, people like to spend some time in this game because they like it they want to improve so they're trying to find thing that will help them to reach a level that you'll never reach.
As me i'm doing studies and I do them greatly, so it's not because you failed at life and at ssf4 that everybody do it, so please next time throw your tears somewhere else ;).
I took all this from the japanese ssf4 strategy guide assuming it was going to be as accurate as the sf4 data. I have since discovered that the japanese ssf4 guide has a lot of wrong information in the numbers. So if something isn't making sense, it's probably because the data is wrong. I also know that the prima guide data is wrong and the hitbox videos are based off an older build, so you can't trust those sources of information either. Sorry guys, it looks like we're not going to have accurate frame data for a long time.
Yea a lot of Seth's frame-data is wrong. SRK and Spin Kick damage numbers are really wrong, probably other stuff but that's the most noticeable so far for me.
@smoothjk
I dont think it will hurt it that much. People just have to put the time in. The frame data shouldnt be the final verdict on any character.
nice, I love frame data.
