It carries a heavy cost to be sure, but it is a useful tool that players will need to judge when to use. If you have the meter and happen to land a hayate, having the option is not a bad thing by any means. It instantly turns the tide of battle, and is obviously strong enough to finish off an opponent.
I have enjoyed Street Fighter IV on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I wish there was some information out there as to whether or not the PS3 version of Super Street Fighter IV will suffer the resolution drop during Ultras (under 720p) that Street Fighter IV suffered. Hopefully, since SSFIV was made first and foremost for the consoles, this is not an issue for the PS3 version of Super Street Fighter IV. The Italian game play footage via the PS3 doesn’t appear to have the drop in resolution, but I could be wrong. If anyone knows anything, please inform.
I hope there's gonna be a SSF4 for PC too.. soon after the release for the other platforms.

Juri really is a sick, twisted little kitten isn't she? She wants to eat Bison bones and all, then she turns on her employer Seth, who boosted her Ki power with the Feng Shui engine.
Gameplay wise, she looks like an interesting character and I will give her a try. Hopefully her playstyle suits the way I want to play, but cannon wise Bison and Seth would rape the little Ho.
Sweet, I'm super hyped, now hopefully they fixed the stupid bugs for ranked matches, and improved their net code!

also now wondering if ex condor spire juggles into his anti air ultra, and good riddance to time trial and survival mode, i ended up getting the costume packs to avoid sitting thru the monotony of doing them just for some new colors.

In both of those setups you posted you have Makoto doing (in theory) Hayate into Ultra 1 without the super. But if you could DO that, there wouldn't be any reason to use the super ever, really.
The whole reason hayate>super>ultra is done is because the super cancels the recovery frames of the hayate, and as the super itself has no recovery frames it allows the ultra to connect as a combo.
Secondly, Hayate>FADC>Karakusa (Choke and grab) would essentially be a tick or somesuch, because karakusa is a throw and would not combo. If it works you could go directly into ultra, but that's still very dangerous.
That's why, if you have the meter for the super and you hit a hayate, it is a good way to land your Ultra 1. Super Meter is there to be used, to win or help-win the match. Using it up isn't a bad thing.

If you read correctly he said FADC after the Hayate which would bring you closer, That would play with her mixup game because the opponent has 3 options, attack, jump or guard, If they attack and you have meter EX Karakusa, if they jump upward or over you do Fukiage, if backwards you could probably dash or do Hayate, or maybe even her Ultra 2 of your using it, If they guard you could do karakusa or if you have meter EX Oroshi if they are crouching. All experimental but Makoto is a all or nothing character.

A few possibilities:
* Repeat the SFIV rival. This is possibly the reason why Dhalsim used Rufus again.
* Delay that character's presentation until his/her rival were available.
The only characters which can't really fit either option are newcomers that depend on a future announcement (Hawk and Guy in case they need either 3S chars or Hakan, and 3S chars in case they need Hakan). Apart from Guy->Ibuki, I don't think there are other probable cases.

plus there are so many 0's, doesnt seem very likely... I'm sure someone like chun li is bound to be a rival... same as akuma and guile. But then again I suppose hes only talking about set 1 of the rival matches... of course there are 2 rival battles now for each character
also any news on the stipulations for fighting rival 1 or 2? I hope they also put subtitles or clearer voices for the dialouge when they fight, couldnt hear what sagat and ryu were saying to each other
@Dribozyme... I hear ya. recently been playing HDR where I met deejays, fei longs, bisons and blankas. Aggressive as hell, once knockdown you aint getting up. Switched back to SF4, found a ryu first match. Put him on the floor and went to pressure him and guess what i got... wakeup SRK. turned it off after was too depressing. Hopefully in SSF4 wakeups will be harder.

Yes, there's still the thing about two rivals. But I believe the other rival the old SFIV rival, not another new one, and new characters might not have an alterntive. The producers were so damn vague when talking about it, nobody knows for sure.

bison not a rival... how stupid does that seem... the main boss in SF2 was not a rival for anyone
plus balrog having chun li as a rival in SF4 made no sense at all. I think having honda like the sf2 movie would have been better

Yes true in SSF4 he is, but i meant in vanilla SF4 he was not a rival for anyone, despite the fact chun li, guile and ryu were all hot on his heels to beat him. We had:
Ryu vs Sagat - due to revenge but ryu should have had bison gouken or akuma and let sagats rival stay as ryu. instead we have them fighting twice as rivals
Chun li vs Vega - should be bison as she hates him so much but the movie had chun vs vega which makes this ok
guile vs abel - i think a very stupid rival, tho abel was made to be SF4s main fighter. definitely guile vs bison
