Capcom V.P., Christian "Sven" Svensson, chimed in on the status of a Super Street Fighter 4 change list and also the potential of a Marvel fighting game collection.The Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix change list detailing how each character had been altered was awesome. Also, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars got a change list too. Are you guys going to do something like that for Super Street Fighter 4?
Christian Svensson: We issued a change list for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars versus the Japan release a couple months after release. Part of the reason for the delay is it's fun for the community to work together to figure out what has changed.
I'm not sure but perhaps the team will issue one as well some time after release.
With HD Remix, where we were really having the community help us with the balance, that was a little bit different than Super Street Fighter 4.
Since Capcom has dealt with both Marvel and Disney before and MvC2 got re-released, could you please work to make a Marvel vs. Capcom Collection? It would have everything from X-Men vs. Street Fighter to Marvel vs. Capcom on PS3 and 360 and the Wii and PSP versions would include a second disc (or UMD) with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 online.
Christian Svensson: As a product, that's a pretty good idea from a content standpoint but I'm not sure retail would bite on such a collection. Marvel would be willing to play ball on something like that, but there's nothing in the works like this right now.
A list of ALL changes would be pretty nice. I'd like to see that for SSFIV.
Who the **** comes up with these retarded questions? Would any of you really spend like over 50 bucks on a collection of all the old marvel games? They are so different comepared to the newer games and mvc2 pretty much made them obsolete (unless you don't like how it's based around assists). I'm pretty sure very few people would buy it, let alone even play the old games more than a few times. Why spend all the time and money on that when it can be put into better features for the new games or even a new game all together? It's like these people just ask questions to ask questions, just think before you speak and use the interview questions wisely.
@4 Exactly, I wonder why the f**k these retards are asking all these irrelevant questions, SSF4s release is a month and a half away yet these guys insist on asking questions about games that are over 10 years old.
SSFHDR change lists? Who cares SSF4 is nearly here.
sf2 hd remix, they really tried to balance it, ssf4, capcom saw the complaints and threw it in the trash
guile can't ultra from a combo... no change from capcom.. instead give some BS excuse about what he can do
cammy ever has a reputation of being too good? hell no, so capcom nerfs weak characters..
they could easily balance it if they want to.. they purposely make weak and strong characters, cuz to the japanese its fun playing weak againts strong
but in a tournament setting that aint fun, just balance that sh*t capcom u tards
Guile can combo into his ultra (see trade to ultra) just no one does it, and I haven't heard anything new on Cammy what changed about her? Also to get back on topic, I really don't think that anyone would buy this stuff, maybe a few die hard fans but I wouldn't hell I don't even like Mahvel. And the funniest thing is how everyone wants more details on SSF4, just let it come out. Don't check eventhubs or SRK for like 10 days and just relax.
@her0
are u like full on tard or soemthing? combo to ultra via trade is not a combo into ultra stupid, and if u self admittedly dont know what they nerfed stfu, you shouldn't have an opinion dumb a$$
@ #4 and #6
So you are concerned with questions that will be answered in a month, and pissed off about questions that might never get answered unless someone were to specifically ask them?
That makes sense.
When SSFIV comes out any question you have will be answered, period. Questions like "Is Capcom considering working on/re-releasing X" are the kind of things that we'll only find out about if people show interest. I wouldn't get mad about that at all.
@ricefarmer
so then what is it because the combo counter definitely adds one to the ultra if you count the trade which by the definition of a combo in sf4 = COMBO!! Yay!!
Umm, I was referring to Cammy being nerfed, and I don't check this site every two seconds to find out more info. I haven't heard anything about her being nerfed. If I am ill informed then you could have just said that instead of attacking me. And umm... last time I checked I can have an opinion. I've placed at tourneys like Final Round, how about you.
And Guile is a very good character, do you use him? I do, and with all his limitations, he still has a solid zone game, and his more advanced combos do some decent damage. Maybe not Sagat damage, but when has he ever ... never mind just thought of CvS2 Guile.
I would actually like a street fighter 3 collection more than anything.
@ricefarmer
Could you please talk like an educated human being? Why would people ever want to listen to someone who speaks the language of a grade school child that just found out how to curse? Maybe when you were 12 it was cool, but then again, maybe you still are. Personally, I will just wait until the game releases to be the judge.
@hero
A+. I love you in a very heterosexual way. You are like a Guru of the Tatsumaki.
It bums me out to say this, but we are probably never going to see another legit "classic collection" from Capcom or any other publisher. The days of the Genesis Collection, Mega Man Collection, Capcom Classics Collections, etc. are long over now that digital distribution and micro-transactions are taking over. Capcom Classics Collection vol. 2 cost $20 upon it's release. Unfortunately, some of these games are now available for download on PSN/WiiWare, and XBLA for an average of $10 each. So where is the incentive for any publisher to release another collection when they know they can charge top dollar for each individual game?
Beyond that, you will never see (good, non-psx) ports of X-men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, X-men: Children of the Atom, or any other Capcom fighter that found it's true home on the Saturn. With the exception of the most popular titles, I think it's time to say goodbye to the fighters of the mid and late 90's...unless of course you're like me and you decide to invest in a Saturn.
All the Marvel games on one disc would be awesome in my collection
