Azrael partially translated the latest Nakky blog on the Japanese Super Street Fighter 4 website. Nothing too exciting here, but here's a brief recap of what she had to say.
• Next week's Nakky blog will be another Q&A session, so hit her with your questions/comments/concerns/tears/love, etc.
• Really happy to the response to Hakan, its better than they'd predicted.
• All characters, including Hakan, will be available to play at the Super Street Fighter 4 setup at the Japanese National Tournament.
• There are also plans to release more info about the Mad Catz sticks next week.
• New wallpapers on the mobile site - Ryu/Ken, Chun-Li/Cammy/Viper, Dudley/Balrog. More updates next Friday and in the following weeks as well.
• Opened the "Saikyo Dojo" on the official site. Using "Dan-sensei", Sakura and Jimmy, they will give various explanations about the Super Street Fighter 4 system. Mostly geared towards players who didn't play Street Fighter 4 but want to give Super a try. Street Fighter 4 players might be bored, but watching their explanations may be good for a laugh. There will be 6 updates, ending on 4/23, right before the release of Super. This site is in Japanese too.
no more teasing! those days are over, now we have to wait till april 27
Hakan seems like a long lost SF2 character mainly his near-racist undertones(much like Dhalsim and Zangief) and zany moves(like Blanka) Hakan seems like a natural fit in SF4.
Anyway Training and Challenge mode should be Saikyo-dojo style in game to give it that SF flair
And the negative reactions are form jack_asses that no one cares about, so good deal. I'm a seasoned SFer, but even I'll be checking out the Saikyo Dojo, I like in character tutorials. And just say Blanka for Chrissakes.
how come the developers blog on hakan hasnt been translated yet ?
its been out since tuesday ... >___>
thats it? thursdays tend to be really weak, in terms of news, on this site....
Here's the new joysticks they will be talking about:
I was REALLY surprised with the positive reaction to Hakan as well. The most-viewed clone of the Hakan trailer has over 400,000 views, which 1.5× the views of the Street Fighter III character trailer and in a much shorter time. I wasn't too excited about him at first, the line about him in the rumor list sounded outright boring, but he was great once I saw him in action. I was really hoping (and glad) that infamous "leaked" screenshot was fake, the editing was OK but the design was so mediocre.
I assure you that these new sticks will still have the same common problem of HK button having issues and PCB shorts as the Round 2 TE FightSticks and regular TE FightSticks. MadCatz FightStick PCB's are dreadfully bad and if they haven't changed anything now, they won't change it for the Super versions.
Get a Hori instead, or custom stick.

I still like the Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition Fightstick a lot better just by the look of it.
I think they meant that SSF4 will be playable at Japan National tournament. I'm pretty sure the main event will still be vanilla SF4.

The way they're doing it is the Character and Ultra selection are one and the same. You select your character, then Ultra without needing to wait for the opponent to select their's. If they had been seperate, then the Ultra select would not need to be blind in the first place.
The reaction to Hakan has been really positive. It's good that they made such an interesting character.
