Seth: Just block this move
SF4 "Expert" doesn't block the move 6 or 7 times in a row.

Nice experts you got there Gamespot.

why do they give the new chars millions of moves and options??
i mean hakan has throws like gief, command normals like dhalsim and a slide and coward crouch like blanka

look at this guy and the other new chars and than look at guile with TWO special moves and one or two command normals!

more moves dont mean better char, but a grappler with a huge damage output and fast ways to get in, who even can coward crouch under projectiles does look overpowered for me!!!

@kanped

It was a sweep. ;)

And I think Seth meant that EX Oil let a fireball go through him while he's doing it. I first thought he meant once EX Oiled up he could go through fireballs period. 8)

@PhinnyCupcakes: Me too dude, me too...
Atleast we found out that that stuff on his head actaully IS his hair...=/

anyways, he still sounds rather OP, but, of course, it's pretty hard to tell atm. He does sound fun to play as though...

And I want a karate clown...

^ Hakan's daughters are all nearly identical, and he is still married.

Seth plays cross-handed because he is a lefty and got used to it.

He was an important part of the process, even though much of that process involves Japanese employees.

And lastly, wasn't Clown the next-to-last boss in Fighter's History? :)

Capcom just needs to let the fans design characters from now on. We can come up with better ideas than this Hakan guy.(and you all know we can). I must admit, he is going to be a monster though. I still don't see him in tourneys just only for online play. You might get one guy who will use him in tourneys, other than that people will stick with their mains. It would be so beneficial if Capcom would have some type of suggestion box online for new ideas when they create SF and majority rules period. This includes new moves, ultras, new characters, costumes etc etc. The most important thing out of all this is game balance. All these updates would be a waste if the game ain't balance like they said. I don't know maybe its just me what do you all think. (keep it pro.) :D

#37
Default avatar
MIRACLEfool said on March 14, 2010 at 4:50 p.m.

@Dash
Actually I think that fan designed characters would be a pretty bad idea, as not everyone is a good artist and will probably create imbalanced ideas, probably fit in the street fighter universe in the worst possible way, and theres also, the possibility of having even more ridiculous costumes. and/or complicated costumes, that would make Hakan a more reasonable choice.
Plus, Hakan's design is awesome I see no problem with it

Dash said on March 14, 2010 at 5:01 p.m.

@ #43 I see what your saying... Capcoms not that stupid though, the purpose is to get that one good idea that rocks! That one character design that's badass, the new ultra/super or move suggestion that is a cool design, or a new mechanic added to the game thats on point. Are you doubting your abilities to design? We all have said in our heads(or out loud when we get hammered on line) man if they did this or that, that would be cool. I'm just saying there so much talent out there in all these areas why not take advantage of it unless its a lawsuit waiting to happen. (nice post though)

@35 & 40

Didn't play much in arcades did you? He didn't exactly have the option of flipping anything while learning to play in arcades, and that's clearly what he's used to now. Flipping it around, or getting a left handed stick would probably be like you attempting to just now learn to play cross handed.

Ex_Ein's avatar

but the games no longer in arcades and he has a personal stick

most fighters always get a console port and he's on a development team for a game only coming to consoles(and the PC) and not the arcade, as far as we know.

i feel sorry for ZANGIEF guys. This new ridiculous characters, also a wrestler, gets MORE grabs/holds that the all time fav mighty wrestler. Capcom should give Gief back his crouch Grabs in SSFIV!! he should have atleast 4 normal grabs.

All I have to say is people shouldn't knock him untill they try him he's likely to fit in perfectly with the rest of the characters. I really hate close minded people because being close minded not only causes you to miss out on great things, it also restrict you from actually enjoying something. If you tackle something with a negative attitude you more likely to hate him and he may be high tier. even after the game comes out and by chance he is used by many pros, those with closed minds still may hate him and say he's cheap or something rather than accepting that he is a contender.

on the side I hate tiers that's why I prefer 3D fighters because tiers are usually very insignificant in 3D fighters
